Awesome. My 13 1/2 year-old Westie, Charlies favorite place. Mine too.Charlie left this world on Wednesday June, 24th. He spent almost everyday of the last 5 months playing in Hillsdale Park with his friends. Many of his 13 years were spent in the park as well. This park is special and magic and a wonderland thanks to the very hard work of Tim and his friends. It made Charlie happy every day he was here. Thank you Tim for all the work you do every single day.
Best dog park around. Only well behaved dogs should go due to it not being fenced in.
Love to take my dog here. It’s not fenced in so I would only bring trained dogs to this park.
We love this park so much! It was a great spot to run the dogs and the people who maintain the property frequent the park during the day to enjoy the crowd. I appreciate that they had coordinated volunteers to cleanup the mini canyon where the small creek runs through. What a transformation! Hats off to the wonderful people here who have come together to make a difference.
Uhhh, hidden gem. Large park with many mature trees, lots of trails to explore, cool wooded area for pretending to be an Ewok. Recommend.
Great dogpark! So many nice friendly people and dogs on a sunny January Saturday. We didnt see any dog poop. It looks like there is a nice playground for kids too. There was also someone playing a banjo.
Be nice if whoever maintains this Google Place would update it with current COVID info.
Such a wonderful off-leash dog park. Truly my favorite in Portland. Theres a nice wooded trail (on leash) that dips down to a creek. The other side has perfect hammock trees. Our pup loves going to play here.
Its a little muddy, but maintained and I love the dogs here!
My dog got really bored as we were the only ones there. But it was clean and not poop or garbage anywhere :)
Well maintained dog park. The doggies love playing with the other dogs and wandering around the trails.
Nice off leash park for dogs. My phone directions kept telling me to go the opposite way of where the park is
Dogs roam free!
Nice place for dogs to run off-leash. Ember and I have encountered nice dogs and people
This is a park with grass and trees. Located on the side of a hill, I found it doubly aptly named. Mostly used by locals it rarely receives international visitors. Many opportunities are available for fun and relaxation. One might have a picnic, walk a dog or baby rhino, meditate, play with a Frisbee, read a book or enjoy any number of outdoor activities. If there is snow it might be a good place to sled.Located adjacent to Robert Gray middle school, it may be occupied by hormonal preteens. No hunting or fishing.
This is a great, local off leash park. My dog loves coming here. We also love the undeveloped forest (and make sure to avoid the younger plants).
Hillsdale City Park, hidden right off of Hwy 10 just west of the Town Center, features an enormous off-leash area for well-behaved dogs and their owners, as well as rigorous and sometimes steep walking trails through a forested area and along a creek bed. The park is open from 5 a.m. to midnight every day, and is adjacent to Robert Gray Middle School. Bowls of water are positioned around the park and kept full for furry friends. The park is maintained by a small crew and many neighborhood volunteers. A bridge goes over the creek to the forested area. Wear your hiking shoes and take water with you. Parking is available in the back of the Portland Christian Center lot. Great escape from the city just minutes away.
Dogs are more well behaved.
Lovely park tucked away- practically hidden!
Ahh... So this one day, my boyfriend and I were walking, it was probably 65 degrees out, mostly sunny, we were walking around the side of the pond and I was shocked I yelled ahhh! its a giant rat! Our dog moose was so curious.... Sniffing all over the place. Makes me wonder.... Why hadnt I heard of nutria mutant rats??
Great for letting my dog runaround
Beautiful amazing park where you can let the dog run around without the leash! Also extremely close to wonderful Trails through rich dark green forest and the opportunity to walk up to the Chart House!
The best dog park in Portland!
This is our go to dog park. Always friendly dogs and owners!
Best dog park in all of Portland. Large lawn area, 2 picnic tables, an apple tree, and the best part are the trails down to the creek and thru some forest. And if youre blessed, around dusk, down by the creek, you may be visited by the owl family that lives there!!!
Serene!
Best dog park around! Responsible owners and tons of space for your pup to run and play!
One of the best offleash dog parks in PDX
Weird denizen with chihuahuas who likes to shout epithets at people. lose the riff-raff and ill give ya five stars.
My favorite dog park! I drive from clackamas to come here!
Best dog park in Portland. Huge fields and no fences. Love this place, and so does my basenji, Jack
All around Great Park good dogs good people well-maintained Wide Open Spaces picnic tables plenty of trees and trails
Great dog park but please remember to pick up your dog poop and help out by picking up someone elses each time. Stay out of closed and muddy areas
