Fun to feed the fish! Beautiful to watch the salmon and trout swim up Johnson Creek, free parking included there is a nice short trail that has steps pretty much the whole way up. It has nice views at the top and you won’t break a sweat unless you’re out of shape. If you find yourself out of breath- this trail is easy to take lots of breaks thanks to all the railing. Make sure you include this trail in your visit to Portland :)

Aside from the over abundant influence of homeless people the sites are domesticatedly outdoorsy!

Since finding this little spot, there have been a few times when I was in between daily activities and needed to kill several hours, this serves as a nice spot to do that. You can be in nature and not have to drive outside the city, as the parking lot sits right there to the side of Foster. Its easily missed I assume, since I have lived in Portland for 20 years and just saw it for the first time about 2 months ago. There is a nice little trail. Good place for a mid day walk if its not too cold, or to let kids get out some energy.

We like this little walk in the city. Easy parking in ample lot. Love that it connects to a loop walk near the pond. Plenty of wildlife to spot, even deer.

Not much to do, but it’s a pretty place. There are some homeless people near the Springwater and occasionally off in the bushes.

I come here a lot to go on a nice nature walk with my kids. We have spotted deer here once, even! Its really a gorgeous spot. I love the bridge, and the fall color is beautiful. The trail is very easy and flat (paved) so its great for small children.

Love this place love to come here and shes a beauty of natures well this place always has a few cars a year lots of people like to come Park their vehicles year and go on a good bike ride experience in the routes that are in this nature park are pretty fun lots of bike routes beautiful trees the scenery on a personal level is a 4/5 and the cleanliness of this part is a 3/5 due to the activity of the park but but the city of Portland has been on top of it if there is any garbage any thing to be cleaned up picked up put back in place I always see the city of Portland doing their job. Good job to the city of portland. Recommendations yes I would recommend on coming here for a nice Sunday afternoon days stroll at the park enjoy the scenery and a fresh swift of natures air ...refreshing one thing will put in note due to the activity going on in this park just keep close watch on your children not to leave you at all times and dont leave any belongings that have expensive value in your vehicles safety/theft rating 3/5

This is one Really dirty park!!! As I entered the park and crossed the bridge what did i find? i found a man squatting off to the right by the creek with only his head and shoulders popping above the tall grass like a ostrich and thought wow he must be sitting and enjoying watching the creek but as i grew closer i saw to my disgust and bewilderment that he was pooping! I also noticed dozens of used syringes scattered on and around the parking lot and walking path so be safe. I will not be returning or recomending this park to anyone i know.

No porta potties, or restroom area. Only one main path for everyone, bike riders and pedestrians both. The land is in an area that could be easily be used for better purposes, such as an area to be utilized for the homeless population. Its mostly surrounded by industrial area, and nature areas should be located more away from the city all together. Get it together Portland use our resources more appropriately.

The paved main trail is short and some nice things to see from it. What’s even more interesting is the side trail that loops you back to the hill behind the preserve and what’s lost back in there. Would be a good place on a mountain bike couple treacherous spots but more or less rideable

It is beautiful from the outside looking in but once you start walking the trails to see the beauty it quickly turns ugly and even fowl.if you are planning on taking the kids for a little nature walk there DONT..needles on the ground and homeless drug addicts everywhere. Even ur locked up car is at risk of being broken into or worse maybe even stolen. If you want pretty nature with water and clean trails to hike the hit up MT hood ski bowl. No homless up there cause there isnt enuf people up there that want to constantly take care of them..

Natural area on the outskirts of SE reclaimed from an old suburb. Aside from the windy asphalt trail, cottonwoods, brief glimpse of Johnson Creek from the bridge and a lot of signs saying no dogs or stay on the trail theres not a whole lot to see. Better to take the Springwater Trail up a mile further east.

The floodplain was put back in place again years ago due to flooding on Foster. Its not much to look at as a park or trail. Its just a short trail connecting a back road and Foster. It would be great if a circular trail could be put in around the floodplain.

A healthy and nice place to visit, that has great trails and walkways. Just come during the day, and preferably with someone as the contigent of homeless frequent the area. Not a great place after dark as there are no parking area lights. During the day, people come for bike rides all the time. It used to be just swamp land, so it is nice the county, city, or whoever is responsible did something with a place that was unusable before. Tax dollars at work.

The Foster Floodplain is a refreshing natural space along busy Foster Road. I do wish it was an okay place to walk with my dog. Alas, dogs (even on leash) are not allowed on the Foster Floodplain. I hope some day to investigate more. It is a 45 minute walk along the Springwater from home, but I usually have my pup with me, so I cant enter.
