Wow this is in the top 2 smoothest bean to bar chocolates Ive ever had. When you can eat a dark bar as smooth as other milk bars you know your are eating excellent chocolate. Each of the bars we tasted was very consistent with the other as far as texture and flavor. Soft, rich, smooth. Even a little smoky on the caramelized white bar. Owner was very helpful and answered a lot of our questions about the process which is fascinating. Creo is definitely doing it right with their chocolate making process. Above and beyond other bean to bar chocolates Ive had.

Tour of this artisan chocolate maker shop with video of harvesting cacao beans up through drying. The shop takes visitors through their roasting and processing, how a chocolate is made and visitors get to make their own chocolate bar. The tour is one and one half hours long- I enjoyed it but it is very detailed. Really about a half-hour too long. The chocolate is fantastic- and you do learn a lot. They sell chocolate too and I will be a customer!

The 1+ hr make a chocolate bar tour exceeded our expectations. Our host, Janet, walked thru the entire chocolate making process, shared her experiences and her energy was infectious. It was fun to experiment with toppings on melted chocolate in a mold before getting it built into a custom bar. We also got to sample their various chocolates, try brewed chocolate tea and juice from the cacao fruit. Overall a great experience!

Our family came as a group of 12 to make our own chocolate bars, learn about chocolate and the history of Creo. One of the owners, Janet was our guide and she was absolutely lovely. Her thoughtfulness and passion is an example of how great their chocolates are.The Make-A-Bar Tour was very educational and fun. We have kids that are 5 and 7 years old and they were really into it. They have vegan chocolate options so our kids with allergies were able to eat them.If you have any fondness for chocolate, definitely take the tour. It’ll make you appreciate craft chocolate much more.

Awesome chocolates! The caramels are amazing, Twix, passion, hazelnut and the mushroom truffle are some of my favorites. We used to go to Moonstruck for our truffles, but since they went big and changed their recipes to have a longer shelf life, the flavor just isnt there any more. Weve given up going back. We are so excited to have found a chocolate place that makes us love chocolate again. I hope they keep expanding their truffles, Im excited to being surprised by their flavors again in the future.

Getting this tour from one of the founders (Janet) was awesome! The facility itself is fairly small, so dont expect to see giant automated machines. Its a lean family startup which is really interesting to see and learn about. Weve toured other chocolate factories and they didnt have a tenth of the charm or positive sentiment this one did. Also, the chocolate is freaking AMAZING!! Not only do you get to make your own delicious bar, but the drinking chocolate and prepared bars they have for sale on site are to die for.

A sign on the wall as you enter Creo is Chocolate for Change. I toured their factory yesterday, got a lot of education about chocolate production, and made my own chocolate bar. The chocolate they make here is outstanding and their values are, too. They purchase their cacao beans annually, directly from a farmer they located and visited in Eucador. They roast and grind the beans themselves, age the chocolate, and use it to make high chocolate content products. Whether you want to purchase high quality chocolate for yourself or for presents or you want to take a tour to learn more about the process and politics of chocolate making, a trip to Creo is definitely the way to go.
