Portland waterfront is a nice slice of the history of the fishing industry in Maine. It is still a working waterfront with many shops and restaurants.

Great place to wander around. Very busy with tourists.

FRESH LOBSTERS to eat. What more is there to say!!

Today was walking water front that is always enjoyable. The fresh mussels and fish that the Bristol Seafood tasting and education station provided was fantastic. Bristol is the also the proud suppliers to Hannaford supermarkets of their fresh seafood...

I never lived close to a port. Portland really gives me the feeling and smell of such a place. Everything is around sea, port, boat, fish, lobster. Really like it!

Nice area for tourist. Ive lived in the area my whole life and always like going down to the waterfront.

Great town with lots of restaurants and shops.

Plenty of things to do, great restaurants, cool little shops.

I was told by one of the Lobster catchers that the proper term is Lobster catcher and not lobster fishermen.. Lol and that this is the only pier in the world exclusively dedicated to Lobster catchers. Very cool

So much to see and do. Great spot for your visit to Maine.

Great fun and very helpful staff at the visitor information center.
