Who doesnt love some green space in the midst of the concert jungle.... Plenty of space to hang out. A nice covered basketball courts... Not to many picnic tables, but plenty of trees and just have your picnic on the ground it should be fine... Have heard about wild pigs in these parts though so watch out...
I mean... it was green, it had grass, had puppies running around, a playground and sporty courts. It met all the qualifications for being a park. 5 stars.
I love Alberta Park. It has something for EVERYONE. Playground for kids and young families? Check. Dog Park for animal lovers? Of course. Basketball court for fitness enthusiasts? It’s even roofed! Lots of green space and jogging trails for local residents? Absolutely. And my favorite part: it’s just a few blocks away from the bustling Alberta street with plenty of eateries and boutiques to complete a perfect afternoon in Alberta.

Well kept park. Place for kids to play, dog are, shady parts and dont parts. Great balance for every need. Also had a covered area.
Great lil park with playground and spaces for picnics. Also have a really nice native plant area that is beautiful and educational.
Well maintained, lots of open space to enjoy. Easy walking trails
A beautiful park with all the amenities you could want. I might be biased because I live in the neighborhood, but this is one of my favorite parks in Portland.
Ate a sushi burrito on the basketball court, spun on that spinny whatchamacallit, and saw bunch of doggos. Heckin rad man.
Love this park in summer and winter, clean and tidy... dog friendly!
Nice variety of areas with many uses!
This is a lovely park. Made even better for a section being planted with native plants that grow under the trees. Nice play area also and a covered area with multiple basketball courts.
Fun place to meet up with friends and ride mopeds
Absolutely beautiful, lots of area for roaming. This park is big enough to have a few covered areas, a Baseball diamond and a Basket ball court.
Beautiful park with old school equipment like seesaws and the merry-go-round.
Very nice neighborhood park. Well kept with lots of room for a wide array of activities.
Nice, shady park. Organized basketball game going on.
Great park to spend time in. Lots of empty space, off-leash dog area, and a fake forest complete with ferns to walk through.
I dont remember being here but if Google said I was...
Its was beautiful except for The Karen who didnt control her 2 dogs. That kind of entitlement is not safe for anyone.
Great doggy park for wet weather. They put down wood chips so its not a mud pit. other parks need at least two days without rain to become passable so in the Oregon winter months this is usually the place to bring Fido.
Great place to take the well behaved pups for a play date.
Nice park to just chill not too loud and has very friendly company. You can also bring your kids and they will have fun. keep in mind there are dogs and the bathrooms are, well you know...public.
Great place to let kids run, roam, and play. Play structures are in great shape, good tree cover and open space for dogs and runners. Bathrooms on site and other options like basketball and tennis courts make it an all around great park to burn some energy and enjoy time outside.
Great space in NE Portland. Grass is fairly green for late summer. Lots of dogs and families. Play structure is in great shape. Kids loved it.Appreciate that they keep the bases on the baseball field. Made it much easier for our impromptu kickball game. Bicycle Polo on Sunday(s) :).
Awesome, unleashed dog park under big evergreens, so it stays dry in some areas, not lot of puddles/mud. Kid playground and a decent trail through the park
Park was ok.What I didnt like was people allowing their dogs to run off leash in the area that was NOT off leash.
The park was well maintained and very enjoyable
Great quiet park to go with the family
Nice park with an off leash area. The mulch makes it a good place to take dogs after rain because it wont get muddy like other dog parks. Its also shaded so the dogs dont overheat. The off leash area isnt fenced and is really close to the street so it might be an issue for dogs that like to run off on their own.
Beautiful park. Kids had a blast. They keep asking to go back!
Pros:Huge covered basketball courtNice little nature pathBig off-leash dog areaHuge fieldDecent play structuresBathrooms (closed in cold months)Cons:Street parking onlyNo benchesVery limited picnic tablesHuge shade tree make it very cold fall/winterTrees can obscure play structures so its hard to keep and eye on your kids
A beautiful place to take an easy nature walk with the family!
Across the street from Vernon school, this park often has a bustling range of families and individuals who are getting some convenient outside time.I often here for a quick walk around the space which is about 2 city blocks.Im pretty sure there is not a public restroom
Went to meditate under a tree it was pretty quiet
Nice park
Its a great place to socialize with friends there is a basketball court a tennis court a baseball field and a few other locations especially the grasslands where people do yoga have a family picnic or maybe just a group of people can meet and have fun always parking available around the park. There are also food options available around the parkIt is one of the most common places for people to have Meetup the spark is clean and tidy the maintenance or the workers work right besides the park
Very large park with a huge dog area. Good for walking. Large fields, playground, and bathrooms.
Great park! Love bringing my dog here. The dog area is nicely shaded. There is a nice running path and a beautiful green field of grass perfect for cart wheels!
Beautiful park, and I loved playing polo there. But the bathrooms were closed so that was kinda rough
Love this park. It is clean; close to home and reminds me of the park I grew up near in Salem. Wish there were more picnic tables around the playground area.
A pleasant park with large trees and a large basketball court, playground, and ball field. I enjoyed sitting under the trees on the grass reading my book. Not that crowded.
Great park with stands of old growth trees. Good play structures, but could use some updating. Note that with the trees temperatures can be significantly lower than the surrounding neighborhood so dress yourself and your children appropriately.
Excellent dogs. Nice covered basketball court. Pleasant playground.
This spot is awesome
Mellow park to hang out in.
Call Uncle Phil and tell him the Nike courts need refurbished. Then we are back to five stars
This is a very nice park! There is always something going on there. Lots of kids of all ages too! My son has a great time, just about every time we go there. Beautiful atmosphere.
Alberta park is great for sports, events, kids and elders alike. There are two baseball diamonds, a walking path all the way around, basketball courts, a playground, plenty of free space, picnic tables. It is also available for parties through Portland parks and recreation department.
Beautiful park with lots of amenities.
Covered basketball hoops.
It’s getting better over the years, they added half space for dogs/ you can walk you pet/ other side for family. Community does an awesome job keeping the park clean. Violence has slowed down thanks to law enforcement officers round stops throughout the day, especially on school year! Overall nice park/ place to go spend time with family or pets. Love the upgrade. Big thumbs up
The kids area is in the shade, so they dont need sunblock to hang out here and it stays a little cooler than some parks. Plus, the fenceless dog is lovely! Lots of sports facilities are found here, including two baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and a basketball area.
Be aware, due to the beautiful old trees and hilltop breezes, this park is consistently 8-10 degrees cooler than the surrounding area. We go every week.
Nice park with off leash area for the doggos
Good place for taking my granddaughter good play equipment, very pleasant surroundings
Great place for wide range of outdoor activity. Playground for kids and adults. Favorite place in the park to read a book or have a picnic is the Ainsworth side, under the tree coverage.
Nice and clean park. Totally different from in the 80 and 90s when it was the place to have fun.
Wonderful park with a covered basketball court, a dog park and some baseball diamonds . They are making some improvements to a native plant garden. Nice to have in the middle of the area.
Fun park to spend time with my children.
Nice park.
Sweet park. So large and such a nice neighborhood.
Covered basketball court with lights is awesome.
Classic park with lots of old school playground equipment. Very family friendly and lots of great eats nearby.
I miss the big old metal slide
Kinda makes you wonder if parks are more than just parks....
NICE PARK
This is a very nice park! There is always something going on there. Lots of kids of all ages too! My son has a great time, just about every time we go there. Beautiful atmosphere.
Cool park, big enough to avoid crowds even during games and events. Nice play structures for the kiddos and crossfit fans. Lots of safe parking, easy access and plenty of shade for summer days. No water features, but a nice baseball diamond. Its close to a school.and a fire station. For the most part stays pretty quiet. No real views to speak of, decent picnicking spot. There are some better spots nearby for that but if this is where you end up you wont be sad.
Very nice park
Tall trees lots of open space and it was quite relaxing.
Lots of fun! Great place
Really nice nature for such a small park.
Safe, fun, with awesome activities and structures. Baseball. Basketball. Three play areas for children of various ages. Just terrific!
Very lush with massive redwoods - considering its a neighborhood park. Public restrooms, a covered basketball court, a garden path and dog run.
Beautiful park with a huge off leash area.
Great park. Nice walking trails & really great playgrounds for the kids.
Cute little city park. Lots of room for dogs to run!
Been going to this park my whole life. My one and only; absoulty beautiful, convenient and accessible park with everything you need.
Great Park in a cool area of town. Lots of amenities. Great walking areas.
Saturday in the park...a great day to be outside and in the park. Space for dogs to chase balls and kids to practice hockey, walking trail-small and short, relitively clean bathrooms, parking on the street.
I go with my children. Nice swings and playset. They just added a new nature path that is nice.
For the size, really nice park. Much less muddy than most due to the mulched grounds. Not fenced, but in a designated area thats easy to spot and away from rest of park.
Very beautiful Park
Came here to wait in between appointments and walked into a street hockey match. After that was over I decided to walk around and discovered tons of activities going on. Jogging, basketball games, kids playing in the park and groups of people practicing marital arts! Lots of energy here!
Huge park with several different sections, including; a softball feild, playground, grassy feilded area and running trail (or walking). Many people use this for dog walking especially. Its a very livley park! Good for kids and families.
Played Belegarth there every Sunday at 1 barring any major events of course. Good park. A large covered basketball court to play in the rain.
Park is welcoming, only downside is some refuse to use the designated dog area so you will come across some poop now and then.
Huge park fun for kids n fam bam
Great park to take the kids or just hang out in nature
