I feel that Ive been cheated. Three days of rain, which was not Cycle Oregons fault, but many other issues...my tent leaked and as a result my sleeping bag was wet. The tent and porter camp sites were in tall grass and when you walked around your shoes and pants became saturated. In La Pine the camp site was in a pasture and extremely uneven. There were complaints by many of the cyclist at that point. My bag was left outside my tent by the porter in the rain. All of my cycling clothes were wet. That night the temperature dropped below the freezing point and my cycling clothes were actually stiff from the moisture and cold, basically slushy ice. Enough was enough and I called my wife to pick me up. To make matters worse my friend asked for an extra piece of bread at dinner and he was refused. He paid over $1600 for the ride, porter service, and electrical charging, but he couldnt get another slice of bread. Many of the participants who had been on the rides in the past said that this was the worst one that they had seen. To spend this amount of money and have the poor service that we received was not right. What Cycle Oregon needs is a good competitor then maybe they would they be forced to make some customer service changes.
