Went to look at the Christmas Lights. It was such a experience. Beautiful Christmas Lights everywhere..
Cool place, went to volunteer for my first time during the moto races and it was a blast the staff and all the volunteers did an amazing job at keeping people safe .
We were at P.I.R. for the Manic Rugged 5K obstacle course. Participated with my 13 yr old son and had the absolute most amazing time. We will be attending next year without a doubt.Gratitude for all the sponsors and P.I.R. for putting on the event. It out did all expectations that I had it was exactly what they said it would be...Muddy, fun, festival environment, memorable.Got the opportunity to donate my running shoes for a good cause after the race. The fact that I got to connect with my son through a positive event is what its all about.Once again thank you to P.I.R. and everyone involved in putting together this years Rugged Maniac 5k 2019.
Well kept and clean transit center
Alot of good products and in stock
It is awsome I love it
Good place to go
Really beautiful to drive out there.
An interesting piece of local history.
Great..just..great..juuusssstttt............................greeeeaaaatttt........... great
The lights at Winter Wonderland were much brighter and more vivid than previous years. More things to see. Very beautiful as always.
Heron lakes is great
Really awesome place to visit day or night and generally very safe feeling. This is probably the hidden smoke spot for 90% of Beaverton teenagers though so prepare for that if the sun is down. Things can get really crazy with the reefer madness and what not. Anyways overwhelmingly this is a great lookout with nice views and good areas to sit and chill.
There was a ton of cars being showcased in the parking lot.Tons if cool cars.Drag races at the end.Best father son night ever!
Renegade: Excellent sour beer!
We came here for the PIR Winter Wonderland Light Show. It was AWESOME! The kids were Ooh and Aah-ing the whole way. Its a great holiday tradition, and the proceeds go to Sunshine Division to help children and their families who might not have a Christmas otherwise. What could be better ?
This is a port where you can park your vans, or drive your van or work on your van or living your van.
This is now basically a shopping strip just stopped in to buy something.
Excellent huckleberry smoothie
For the past several years Portland International Raceway has hosted the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN) end-of-summer racing event and in conjunction with that, the All British Field Meet (ABFM). This now takes place the weekend after Labour Day since the Portland Grand Prix for Indy Cars takes place on Labour Day weekend. The ABFM fills the grass area between the racing paddock and the water feature to the west. Seven British car clubs coordinate the ABFM, and all types of British cars are there to be seen - from three wheel Morgans to stately Rolls Royce and Bentleys. Thank you, PIR, for hosting this fun annual event.
Family outing to watch the late night drags. Pretty sure Im there best cheerleader there. Husband and I showed the kids how to have an awesome time at the races!! Wonderful location! We arrived hungry, and there were accommodations! Super memorable night, well be back!
Beautiful! Fun to look at the lights. My Granddaughter was so excited.
Pir lights were fun for the kids! They loved the tunnels
A fantastic light display set up around the Race track of Portland international Raceway.
Taught Teen Street Survival through Tire Rack. Awesome day! Awesome students.
Winter Wonderland at PIR. The lines to get in were insane, but expected as it was JUST before the holidays. There was a coffee shop in the parking lot for walk ups. Great display. The only issue I had was the other cars that stopped for photo ops, effectively holding up the lines.
Historic Vanport is hard to notice actually. If you dont know the history already then theres nothing to teach or inform you. No big monuments, or signs easily noticeable.
One of the last wild places on the river, hiking, biking, and boating.
It is now a race track that has a wonderful light display during the holidays.
The lights was cool and took a pace light on the race track just for 22 dallors awesome
Great Family Fun! And the kids loved it!
Nice!
Went to beaches car show. Its awesome summer fun
Visited Cracker Barrel it was excellent
I go down to Delta Park Vanport every Thursday for motorcycle races they also have drag races on Wednesdays and all kinds of events throughout the year very nice place
The lights were awesome!
Beaches! Drag Racing, live music, good food, cars & Food. Great family event.
Ive only been here twice in the last 15 years, both for visits were for the light display. Which seemed way more spread out than I remember from years ago. Prices are descent for having a car full of people who want to see some cool lights.Ive never seen a race here, and really dont plan on seeing one anytime soon. So I cannot comment how how this place looks or how packed it is during the day.
Turkey trot at p.i.r., good lights, good night
Great fun and heart track to take on a few HPDE track days
BNW was so much better this year with shade!!! Great venue, come here throughout the entire year.
Phenomenal race track. Amazing place to see any kind of racing.
Love the option of beverages and love the friendliness of staff.
There for the rugged manic. Great time!
Buisy Buisy Buisy.
Very peculiar and interesting history behind the VanPort.
The Duck Pond is really something. Especially when the sun is setting.
Great display of a winter wonderland.
We did the Bubble Run and it was so much fun. My family had a blast. New experience. And it turned out well
I definitely like the Vanport bridge dedication placard.
I was actually at Pro Drive taking a snow and ice Winter driving course in a skid car. Love this place ! Hands down best place
The best city park in Portland has a world class road racing course in middle
I had no idea that this was an historic place. We were visiting the Portland International Raceway for a crosscountry race. Great place for racing, dog walking or other outdoor activities.
I love this place!
Great family fun
Great food and location
Vanport is an old housing division that was destroyed by a flood after the war and the sports car guys took it over. That eventually was built into Portland International Raceway. Nice facility with shade trees and lots of grass and seating. I go there to watch vintage racing and always like the action. Great place.
I dont think its worth the amount they charge. There were places that were blacked out and we were bored b/c we had to drive slowly behind other cars. Long lines.
Did a 5k down there. Needs better access.
I was actually at Pro Drive taking a snow and ice Winter driving course in a skid car. I found out during conversation with the instructor and my other classmates that the entire area including the raceway are indeed built on top of what is left of historic Vanport. That doesnt necessarily mean that theres a whole lot of historic then port left considering that the storm the year before I was born in 1964 destroyed it.
Winter Wonderland is great!!
Upscale. Good food
Christmas lights were just OK, long line and the price was high for what you got.
I love coming down here and watching the cars drag around the track great family entertainment
I remember going here for a field trip in school. It’s very insightful and fun to imagine life this way.
Awesome fields Portland speedway right there.
Informative place about old Portland
Really awesome place to visit day or night and generally very safe feeling.
Fun important historical place
I couldnt actually get to it. GPS sent us to locked gates.
My dog loves it here! About a dozen acres for him to run around on. Bring your pup, you wont regret it
Went to see the Christmas lights. It was fantastic! Much better than hauling the kids outside and listening to all the Im cold, and pulling in all directions. it was confined, I didnt have to worry about losing one of 3 kids, great music to listen to whole we drove loads of fun!!
Such a fun place to watch racing
The City of Portland owns the facility. The races are great to watch and the track is nearly two miles long. Great experience
Great off leash dog park, with a wildlife sanctuary right along the Northern perimeter. Just off I-5, so easy access. No porta potties unfortunately, but open and flat for easy walking, running with your pooch. Only fenced, along one side, so not appropriate for dogs that take off. Several acres to run in. Occasionally used for RV shows, swap meets and other public events.
Nice place to run dogs
Christmas lights were great!!!
Theres not much here anymore. Mostly industrial and commercial zoning, on the east side, near Delta park. There is the Portland speedway to the South of vanport.
What a nice place. Beautiful. Will definitely return.
Delta park west is one of the citys best off-leash dog walking areas. The meadow is occasionally borrowed for overflow parking by the Expo Center or Portland International Raceway.
We my Son and hes babys and a good friend and her baby, went to see the Christmas lights it was great the girls loved it line was long but lights were great
Simply Awesome
Its such a beautiful area.
Great course except for all the goose poop, lol
