Veterans Park

Nice Park. They even provide an toilet that you can use,be it an outhouse its getting the job done (for an older woman such as I am) I dont know how the younger generation think of them though.

There is plenty of grass space for games like soccer, frisbee, volleyball, etc. theres also a playground for the kids and plenty of shade under the big trees with tables to sit on

Great view and a lot of space. There are memories of dead veterans too.

I like to go there because its clean now and peaceful. Theres always shade in the park. Love it

Cat haven

The grandkids played in the sun. They road there skutters on the side walk. To bad everything was closed.

Average amount of homeless and tweakers, a place where all of porterville goes walking, jogging or using the skate board park. Full of fixie(bike)groups of kids. Also the south side of the park gets gusts of sewage as the park surrounds a sewage treatment area.

Nice little park, even the homeless are polite.#@&*?

Its a great reminder of what Americans can do!!!

Great places to take your kids to the playground and do family activities plenty of room to go around

My family loves to walk to this park its close to our home. Just make sure you watch your kids everymove! I saw yesterday during my walk, broken Smirnoff ice bottle. Dirty needles and other trash from drug use in the park. There is a tent pitched in the back of the park with someone living in it.

This is a great pokemon stop

Great place to hangout out with friends and family. The park has really improved in the last couple of years. Theres more lighting and the play area for the kids has been remodeled and is gated.

Veterans Park has come a long way in looks and necessities. The playground has covered shade. I love the Benches that have been donated. The benches are made of great quality and looks, especially with the Donors names on them!!! What a great idea of recognition. Being a Senior I appreciate lots of benches, they are vital being close to the gated play area for when I take the grandchildren to play. God bless each Of those DONORS

We were havin a very nice late afternoon the grass looked good. People started showing up for practice, it was the little ones turn to practice. It was nice to watch that.

Clean park great location

I love this park. I love the grass space, the memorial, everything.... Except the fact that it stinks so bad because of what it is right by... We call it the poop factory!

Its the best park to walk around and there are always friendly faces. The only thing is the walkway that runs along Morton needs to be tended to. Bushes, weeds, and trees alike.

A good park to power walk run theres a scate park and a playground plenty of room plenty of parking

Clean park with gated playground. There are picnic areas and Restrooms. This park is a memorial to Veterans and it is nicely done. I like that the playground was shadded.

Veterans parks is a big, clean park filled with big trees, a large play area for kids and plenty of places to sit. The bathrooms are bad but the park is a great place to relax.

It was nice took my grandbaby to play we both enjoyed it.

I love this park more now that they have a fence around the play ground only because it safer for my kids I dont have to keep worrying about them running towards the traffic, so thank you guys for putting up the fence Im sure Im not the only parents that was waiting for the fence to get put up

One of few parks in Tulare county with baby swings. Close to food and shopping. Downside is the nearby school.

My daughter likes this park so we come here once in a while...probably once a month but its nice...

I love this park good family park to attend for the kids now that it secure with a fence around the play ground I will recommend family to go out to the park very peaceful.

Park has two separatespots. North end and the South by Morton. The southern part has a porta potty that I havent ever seen clean. Went out there for mothers day and had to clean it myself.

Pokémon GO Review: This park is great for Pokémon GO players. It offers more than 10 pokestops, 3 gyms, two of which are side by side, one gym is an EX raid gym and this park is also a nest! Easy walking paths with pokestops along the sidewalk.

This is a nice park.

The playground feels safe for kids to run around because of the fence surrounding the area. But, you still need to supervise your children.

Most of the grass is dead. But a good playground. And this park also has restrooms.

The walk way was very clear and clean of derbis. But the restrooms need what o believe maintenance.

The public restrooms have no doors so be careful.

This place recently got some new lights and cement put in, the play area is also pretty nice. Really nice and quiet.

If you want a simple park then its a place to go. Small playground, birthday party to celebrate here. Theres skatepark nearby. Or if you want to just chill then it is indeed your place.

The lights and benches are a nice touch. It is only missing basketball courts. It could use more lights down Morton. Also, it could use a path toward the tables on the that side.

I like to walk around the park and enjoy my time looking at the helicopter for all the veterans who served here in Porterville Ca.

Nice and quiet, at the end with no toilets or playground.

Nice, shaded playground, pavilions, and lots of uneven grassy space. The Vietnam veterans memorial is nice too.

Clean, near food and shopping, playgeound is gated which is awesome! Kids love the big train shaded with plenty of trees. Also has benches and plenty of space to throw bbqs or parties. The skate park is right accross the parkinglot next to it and my older kids love that place so its a cool little spot to take the whole family.

The weather was very fair and its a very large park to walk around.
