AMAZING beautiful short little hike through the giant sequoias. This is definitely worth the visit. Though I had SO MANY questions would be nice if there was a ranger walking around with info. Highly recommended. Take your time. And enjoy what nature has to offer.

Its absolutely stunning.....but this time I only rated 4 stars bcuz of the fires, smoke, and so many burnt trees, MANY trees being cut down (a project) so our entire visit was filled with chainsaw sounds + the fear of where the trees were falling...oh and lots of people using the burnt wood to graffiti...not a good look. If u enter on the South entrance, quickly youll see a taped off area which youll have to walk off path to get to the other side. A great new addition to this place is the Legends so you can see where you are and the paths, 2 located nearby both entrances. I visit everytime I come up here and this time wont stop me from visiting next year. Happy trails all!

Beautiful place! Trails are maintained dirt trails so very accessible and great for kids. Except for this one area where one giant sequoia fell on another already fallen sequoia, blocking the boardwalk path underneath (see photo). We hiked close to sunset and only got to see half of the trails, but it was worth it seeing the colors through the trees and the meadow blooms! I will definitely be coming back here to see everything this beautiful place has to offer!Caveat: The restrooms across the street at Redwood Meadow Campground are porta-potty toilets and put simply, stink.

Some of the best views of beautiful towering giants. Best part is you can park less than a mile from the start of the trail and avoid any human interaction. Even so not a lot of people here so it’s a great place to visit during the pandemic.

Always a beautiful location, currently undergoing a tree mortality treatment. Meaning a thinning out of scrub pines & small fir trees that complete with the giant Sequoias for water. We also noticed, a second massive tree had fallen sort of recently, in addition to the giant tree that fell about 10 years ago. I reside in Long Beach and have taken many visiting family & friends to this location. It never disappoints!

Very impressive trees, too bad the trail was closed on some sections (fall 2020). The trail is short and can get confusing because of the closures, it could have some better mapping and guidance. Excellent for a day trip.Be prepared as there is no cell phone signal around, no service for Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, or US Cellular...

Visited 5/11/20. Parking lot closed but parked along the road which is technically not allowed. There were 3 or 4 other cars there. Walk was roughly blacktop paved and short (1 mile loop) but awesome for handicap. Trail partially closed in one spot due to fallen tree. Had to turn around there. Long very winding road to get there but a beautiful ride. Trees are amazing. Signs along path with interesting info.

Definitely worth a visit. Watching the sheer existence of the Sequoia trees was enchanting. The paved walkway made it one of the easier trails to walk making it easier to focus on appreciating the magnitude of the giants :) The trail is approximately 1.5miles long with dogs allowed (on leash).Do not forget to take a look at the boards throughout the trail, it definitely makes for an interesting read. The parking is $5 - totally worth it. However, there were certain places along the road where some had parked their cars

If you have young kids, need wheelchair accessibility, or just prefer flat and well-maintained paths, this is the trail for you. Of course, anyone of any age will enjoy this trail, its particularly welcoming because the trail and surrounding campgrounds make it very accessible to everyone. Plus, its paved. You do not need to be an experienced hiker to go on the Trail of 100 Giants. Our kids are 9, 6 and 2. We took over an hour to walk through it but we moved very slowly. There are benches along the path that are perfect to stop and have a snack and enjoy the scenery. There were other hikers on the trail later in the day. We arrived at about 9:30 and there were only two other families on it with us. But as it neared 11, it got more crowded. But the crowds were not unmanageable. We paid $10 to park in the lot across the trail entrance. There was a park employee collecting the fee there. He was friendly and told us to look for the maps along the path. There are restrooms in the parking lot but they are pretty gross. There arent any restrooms along the trail. The only reason Im not rating this 5 stars is because where the 2 large sequoias fell along the first bridge, there isnt a designated path going around it. We had to try to find our way around the trees and find the path on the other side. There was a small gap under the trees where we could have crawled on our hands and knees along the bridge to get across it but that didnt seem safe. It seems like there should have been a path more clearly labeled to get around the fallen trees. Its worth walking up there to see them in an X formation on the ground. But we had to carry our 2-year-old over the back side of the trail and up the hill to get by them. Also, the second loop doesnt have nearly as many large trees as the first loop has nor the meadows. Youll be in the sun more too.We brought snacks and lots of water. We went in late June and it was warm. We took the route from California Hot Springs and it took about 45 minutes. Its a very very curvy road and everyone felt pretty carsick but it had a pretty view. It was definitely worth seeing.

One if the most breathtaking places Ive ever been. Unfortunately the day we went a big portion of the trail was blocked off because one tree fell knocking another one down completely blocking the path. Lots of interesting facts to read along the way, my children absolutely loved it and have already asked to go back. Make sure to use the restroom or have a camper with one because there is no running water and the restrooms there smell awful.

These trees are huge and worth seeing. Parking is $5 & cash only but some people parked on the side of the road even though it says no parking. No repercussions were given. It is also handicap accessible! So if you have a loved one who is wheelchair bound, all the walkways are paved with no steps. Part of the walkways are blocked from a few fallen trees but it’s been like that for years. The drive there is also gorgeous. We came up from Kernville, definitely some spots on the way to take pictures.

Always a great place to visit and enjoy the beauty of the massive trees, even the ones that are fallen are a sight to see, the trail is paved and easy.Parking is $10 cash only if you want to park in the lot, or you can park elsewhere and walk a little bit more.

This is without a doubt the most criminally underrated hike Ive ever been lucky enough to experience! Its a simple hike, which makes it all the better since your attention can be focused directly on the gargantuan trees that line the perimeter of this marvelous hike. It feels like something out of a fairy tale. There is a meagre $5 parking fee at the entrance (at the time of writing) but that is well worth the cost of this life changing experience.

If you cant make it into the NP, this is a nice little area to see some awesome Sequioas. Parking area is kind of small, so get there early. There are several additional areas down the road where you can park and hike in. Remember, this is a paid site, so bring cash, be honest, and pay the fee. Also, please dont vandalize the trees! Even doing ash drawings is vandalism, no one wants to see that!

There are giant sequoias in a lot of places. But here theyve cleared open the forest so that you can really see and appreciate them. Fairly moderate incline paved trail lines through them. They are like nothing else growing on Earth.

Not giving it 5 stars only because part of the trail is closed off and people are just wondering off the trail around the sign that says not to go on or within 100ft of the boardwalk. There is a 10 charge to use the parking lot/pic- nic area. Picnic area was nice and clean, outhouse was clean on one side. I took my own sanitizing spray and sprayed everything before I touched it. The water isnt turned on either.

Great little hike with plenty of educational placards along the way. Those giants really are massive! Please drive safely on your way up there and STAY IN YOUR LANE. It is a very small windy access road but nothing too crazy as long as you dont have people wildly taking those turns. The path is paved and the trail well maintained. Please do your part and pick up your trash! Leave obly footprints.

You really feel small and insignificant next to these trees that have been there for hundreds or even thousands of years. When you see one that had fallen, it really makes you stop and think of what it took for that to happen. I like the trail has variation so you can make it as short or as long as you want still get a feel for the place. There are two parking locations and they fill up fast. A pass is $5, be sure to stop at the gift shop for some cool items

Great little paved hiking trail. Takes about 2 hours if you walk the whole thing and read all the signs, etc... Bring a small water for each person, nothing around there except parking ($5 per car) and a campground. A little touristy and loud at time with kids running around, but we were able to enjoy it. Dont expect peace and quiet unless you go super early (sunrise) or off season. Would go again!
