May 31st, 2020I played there this morning. I payed for 18 and only got to play 9. I work on Sundays and need to be able to play a round of golf in 4 hrs.They put people off the back nine if front of my group and when we got to hole 10 we were log jammed. 3 groups to start the back nine is not the right pace of play. When I asked about what happened, I was told that they have been putting people off the back for 20 years. That the pace of play would be fine and there was nothing they could do about it. I wasnt offered anything for the inconvenience. I had to leave so that i could be at work on time. I really dont appreciate the lack of care the staff addressed me with. Needless to say, I will not be playing at Riverwood again. I hope this review helps others that have the same situation .

Nice course & amenities. If youre looking for a long course with easily hit fairways, this is a good course to play. Also a nice driving range & putting green for some practice before your round.

I find it interesting that Riverwood uses noisy, dirty, smelly, gas golf carts . Do golfers like to announce their arrival at every tee and green as they approach with the loud, revving engines? Is that normal golf etiquette?You would think an award-winning course would have the capacity to provide guests with quiet, clean, electric carts. Apparently, ownership will not invest in the comfort of guests course transportation. Following one of those gas golf carts is like following a garbage truck, while following an electric cart is like following a Tesla. Needless to say, your game and comfort are improved with electric carts.Not only does the noise contribute to players having to listen to that racket all day, but the exhaust of these 75 gas carts harms the local environment, especially that of the adjacent wildlife, river preserve.While you may enjoy playing the course, it is unlikely you will enjoy the loud, obnoxious, gas golf carts you will have to ride.

If I could give no stars I would. Riverwood is not in the very least a family friendly environment. If you are under the age of 60 you are not welcome and they will let you know it. They make living there as hard as possible and make sure to be unavailable to discuss anything that is not to their liking.

I played your course on Thursday June 20th for the first time. I must say the course was in excellent condition and I was very impressed. It isnt often you can play a course in Florida in the middle of June when it is in such good condition. The employees were friendly and the restaurant was good to. Thanks.

First off, I have read many reviews on Riverwood Golf Club and there were many comments about how friendly the staff is. Having just played there today, I have to say that my experience was not as such. I would describe the attitude that I experienced as indifferent. The guy at the front desk was not friendly at all. The guy at the cart shack was almost friendly but somewhat standoffish. The older lady in the clubhouse when we made the turn pretty much ignored me so I continued playing without anything to eat. That being said, the course was absolutely great! It was well manicured and in excellent condition. And after all, that was the reason I was there in the first place. So, I would recommend the course but not the staff.

Riverwood Golf Club, rated 4-1/2 stars, is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Florida. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

Played at 9am on Christmas Eve. My first time golfing in Florida. We paid about ten dollars more than some nearby courses because it had lots of good reviews, and we were not disappointed. The Marshall, starter, and staff inside were all very helpful and did a nice job. Free range balls were a plus. The course itself was in immaculate condition. We didnt see a bunch of ball marks like we see at home in Michigan, very few divots, tees were perfect. The course was fairly flat and playable, yet challenging. The slope rating was in the 140s due to the sand and some wetlands, as well as plenty of OB, but if you can hit it straight, youll be fine. I would love to go back someday.

Tee boxes are flat, fairways plush and greens run true. Not much more you can ask for! Great course

Great prices during the summer season. Very nicely maintained course. Well stocked clubhouse for apparel. Good lunch menu at reasonable prices. Everything here is first class.

Without doubt, the best 18 holes in the area. They overseed in the winter months for lush, green fairways and roughs. No crazy carries and 7000 from the back if you want. Great practice area too.

Always in great shape and a great design. Used the practice facilities on this trip and they are excellent. Off season prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Golf course was in excellent condition. First course that had no tropical grass. Credit to the superintendent. Pro shop did an excellent job as well. Thanks also to Bob Ridge.Eddie

We absolutely loved this course, it was stunning, challenging and friendly. We had no issues and by 4PM we had the back nine to ourselves. Fantastic, possibly the best round ever all around. We will definitely be back.

Flew in from out of state after making a tee time five days in advance, but the pro shop seemed to have lost my tee time when their computers went down. Luckily I called to confirm my time early in the morning and discovered the error. Unfortunately there were no tee times left that day to get me back on the course. To correct it, one of the pros took my phone number and offered to call around to some other great courses in the area and find me a new time. Within minutes they called me back and told me there was a last minute cancellation, and got me back on Riverwood. Ive played this course before, great layout, excellent condition, but they deserve five stars for handling my lost tee time with such speed and professionalism. Had hey not gotten me back on their course I am sure they would have found me another tee time somewhere else, thats going above and beyond.

Wonder place to visit. Beautiful kept grounds, large heated pool and hot tub, work out area amazing gold course and the home were exquisite.

Someone complained about our speed of play, which was due to their beverage cart not being able to take credit, then not being able to break a $20 bill. This event took 10 minutes, and the marshall didnt want to hear it. For a club so by the book they have do not enter areas (OB) marked with red stakes that should be marked with white stakes. When the Marshall came, he said: people watch out their windows and will call them to complain. In my opinion its expensive compared to what else is around and for the way the staff treat visitors, I recommend going to the next club on your list.
