Nice park, my kids love it. The book exchange thing is nice. We met a nice granddad who was teaching his grandson to fish and he taught my 4 year old. She was too excited.

Small, never overly crowded. Has great spots to nap, or picnic. The playground is wonderful for my kids. They never get bored.

Nice park. Quiet, clean, and peaceful. Would be 5 stars, but the attendant was rude and closed the park early. The online hours show being open till 9pm and the sign on the gate clearly states open till sunset, which in July, is way after 730. The attendant being rude was a different matter. We were having a evening picnic when the attendant approached us, with an attitude, assuming we were going to leave a mess. I DO NOT LITTER! In fact if I saw a mess, Id be the first to help clean it up. I always leave outdoor areas cleaner than when I arrive. The whole situation just left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably wont return there again.

Relaxing park that I visit about twice a week for lunch. Great lake, free parking, basketball court, etc. But there are lots of ducks.

Totally underrated park. It’s nice and quiet and there are always ducks and ibis to watch. Often there are a few more bird varieties, turtles and fish. We watched tadpoles last week. This week 2 sucks wee sitting on clutches. The grass is nice but the playground needs a canopy. I want to give a big thank you to the park for always maintaining a climbing tree. I climbed the old one growing up. My husband and I carved our initials along with every one else. That tree is gone after several hurricanes but it’s nice to see the cultivated another for the same purpose. It’s a perfect place to have a picnic or relaxed with the kids or a friend. About that playground canopy though...which is why I only give it 3 stars along with the fact that it’s often empty which makes me nervous.

Formerly a great place. Notice how the name of the park is Fig Tree, thats because there were two massive ficuss: one at least 500 years old and another that was much younger. This old growth ficus was clearly the tree in which the creator had in mind when naming the park. Home to a clasp of the endangered Zebra Long-wing butterfly, geckos, lizards, birds, squirrels, caterpillars and millions of microorganisms. One clearly felt a presence when under this tree, and several people enjoyed to frequently climb it and connect with this ancient life form. But one day, I was shocked to see that somebody (most likely the ones who lived behind the park) started to post a horrific pool fence around the tree with a shawdy no trespassing sign. That was the first problem: who the hell has the right to deny access to this tree not only was it on public property yet even a child was able to step over the fence. But only a few days ago I decided to again pay a visit to this park, and I was shocked to see the tree had completely disappeared and replaced with a patch of itchy good for nothing grass. The sheer pettiness of whoever made these decisions is outrageous. Thousands of life forms were killed with that tree as well as an important piece of history. This place no longer deserves its name.
