Good long trails that are generally well kept. There are definitely some areas that should be repaired to eliminate bogs on the trail. Also, the signage/markings along the trails could be a bit more clear. We went down the wrong paths multiple times despite using the maps.

Five trails to hike. Between 1.6 and 5.5 miles in length. Trails are mowed with arrows and colored markings on each trail. Limited benches and tables along trails. Very good parking area. Trails are probably wet during during rainy season. Recommended for hiking and nature walks. Trails are for hikers and horseback riders.

Remote. No facilities. Nice place to get away. Fair enough species diversity. Believe the warning on the sign - carry water, wear sunscreen and a hat. Car park a little dodgy - a couple of people for whose presence we couldnt account.

Part of the trail was flooded well above ankle deep. Regular hiking boots were not good enough.

Greathigh and dry trails to hike. I love seeing the transformation after a controlled burn. Everything comes back to life.Looking at a satellite image of the park. I wish the additional fire or maintenance trails were mowed more often. Looks like they pass some interesting habitats and ecosystems. Im just not comfortable walking in high grass where I cant see the ground.I do the spree loop every few weeks.

Love this Hillsborough County Park. I have been here to many times to count, once with our horses, many times with my dog an without. With 5 different sections to hike, 4 for horses, 1 just for hikers. The red section is on a cattle farm. Had a whole heard of cattle walk over to check me out. I walked 20 miles this day on the 29th March, 2019 saw almost every inch of the park except the green see section in the back for hikers, I ran into standing water, knowing how low that area is I just came back toward the front. I saw 2 deer, 1 black snake, and a fox squirrel, which was very cool to see and watch. 20 miles 5 hours and 20 minutes later I was on my way home

Maybe I did something wrong when I went here, but this was about the farthest thing from a good hiking experience. I hiked almost a mile and a half in before turning back around because the only sign of life I was seeing were loggers cutting down trees in a few different areas. No wildlife, no nature, and tall grass made for an unpleasant experience...it really isnt a trail, but a grass road to walk down. This was my first time hiking in Florida so perhaps this is as good as it gets, but I certainly hope not...

Its garbage that they dont allow bicycles in order to protect the horses and riders. It wouldnt be a problem, if theyd just allow them on one or two routes. But other than that and the amount moisture and mud acquired when running or hiking, its a really great park and ideal location with awesome trails! Note that signage is minimal and mostly color-coded and non-verbal, so MAKE SURE you take a map from the front entrance and make sure that someone in your party is good at mapreading and navigating from color-coded trail markers and natural landmarks ONLY, because thats usually all you have, and in a few spots you dont even have that. Cell coverage was basically nonexistent for me, which i didnt mind, but just be mindful of that in planning your outing.

Wonderful, well marked equestrian trails and even a water and potty station for riders. Also there and anywhere you might dismount, there are mounting blocks. Best place so far in home area.

Wonderful day with great friends. As many adventures for your horse as you want to challenge them with. There are creeks to cross that can get deep enough for a short swim, wild life, trails to ride or some brush riding if you prefer. I just dont recommend going during the summer because the bugs can be horrible that time of year.

This once great place to visit has been ruined because the county decided to sell the timber off the land. They have cut many of the trees and ruined the trails with heavy equipment not to mention they have not cut the grass in a long time. The grass is over knee high with huge ruts in the road from the equipment. I guess they should change their name to Lower Green Swamp Logging Company because the money for timber is more important than preserving the land.

Very nice, beautiful place for hiking. As it is a swamp preserve, trails will flood. Be prepared to get your boots wet. Overall, I would hike this again, there are several trails, all very well marked.
