This is a really cool county park with a lot of area to walk around. Has views of a lake filled with alligators, birds, turtles, etc. Has restrooms and places to public and grill. Best part are definitely the trees with crazy root structure exposed

This park will amaze children and adults! You will thoroughly enjoy a quick visit, a day long picnic, and/or overnight stays!! A true conservation park that puts you into a natural setting!

This place it just to be great, so I decide to do my daughters birthday there but lately a bunch of new rules had been add. People can not listen to music with small speakers, shelters had to be empty by 5pm, no pinatas and a lot of other regulations.. Park rangers spend whole days driving around, doing nothing, polluting the environment in pickup trucks and gators.. I really think it is a bad way to spend my taxpayer money. I was disappointed and I will never do any other event at this place.

Fishing is good, been going here since I was a kid. Great place to run in the hills, have a birthday party, or just hangout.

I played disc golf at this course over a month ago lost a disc in the water. Matthew at Medard park called me and they had found it. It’s a cool story about a disc I thought was gone for good because we saw it go in the water and looked for it for at least 20 minutes. Thanks to people that work at our parks for caring about the small stuff that make the world a little day brighter. Thanks Matthew!

Nice park with plenty of trails and places to fish. Lots of tables with grills. Beautiful views of the lake where you can watch alligators swim.

Fun park to go to with the family. They have canoe rentals. Boat launch. Picnic areas. Camping. The park rangers are super friendly and helpful. Definitely a nice quiet park.

My husband and I go out there to fish and enjoy the nature... We walk the trails.. Very peaceful...

Bridge and observation tower were still closed and overall there didnt seem to be much to do or see. It looks like a great park for picnics or little events at the shelters, but we tried walking some of the trails and most of them led to nothing or were too muddy to pass. The trees with the roots out of the ground were very cool and made the trip worth it, but I cant say Ill return any time soon. Im sure this park would be much better if you have a boat to launch, but without a boat there seems to be little to do here.

I have visited several times to attend birthday parties and to go camping with my family. I loved it and so did my family.

Lovely park with fun short hiking trails. First trails (near entrance) explore the pond with ups and downs. Sacred Hills are hills, fun for kids of all ages! Park is rehabbed mining area and quite scenic.

It is a very nice park for children; there are these hills of earth that are so cool for kids!The camping is essentially a parking lot for RVs with a bunch of people riding on golf carts and flying university sports flags.In short:Great parkPoor camping

Nice park to visit! Very clean and very pretty!!

What you see in the photos is what you gonna get, dont expect more. Boardwalk and Observation area are closed. Everything else is fine, clean and quite place.

The Rangers here are Fantastic

Bridge and observation tower still down, they are getting permits and such, but still a great place for walking around. Did see alot of fish hitting the surface. Gonna go back tomorrow and see if I can hook on to a couple.

Great park, open fields, family spots, bbq and nature trails. Boardwalk to island in lake. Good spots for fishing. Be cautious there are plenty of behemoth alligators around the lake.

This park is not handicap friendly,,, if you need or want to leave after hours the gate has to be pushed open and pulled close,,,and the shower are not handicap friendly either

Kudos to the park rangers working Sunday Dec 13...wish I had gotten their names. We camped with 4 girls for my daughters b-day and one of the girls realized she had lost her stuffed animal when we went to sleep. It has special meaning to her and she was so upset. She thought maybe it has been in a bag that had sandwich wrappings that was thrown away in one of the trash cans at the park part (not the campground). My husband went out there with a flashlight to look but the cans were emptied of all trash because of wild animals overnight. The next day he mentioned it to the rangers and as we left we stopped by the ranger entrance hut to see if anyone may have found it and turned it in because we were not 100% on the trash theory. Well, one of the rangers had gone through the trash and found it and brought it to us! 4 screaming happy girls, a relieved mom and 3 smiling rangers made my day! Thank you again for going above and beyond!!

A beautiful park! Camped in an rv for 4 days. The sites are large with a canopy of trees over most. Kayaking in the lake, biking through the park, playing Frisbee golf.

County park known for its foothills full of mangroves, whose roots are exposed. Fun for brief hike, picnic, or hammocking.

Ummm. Drove almost 2 hrs to get here, arrived at 6:10 and they were locking up. According to the website the hours are 7am -7pm. Really sucks that they close the park so early for one, second the gate is locked with a combination padlock so you cant get in no matter what. Really inconvenient if you drove far to get here. Very disappointed
