Great shaded path thats stroller friendly, beautiful trees and scenery through most of the park. Separate playgrounds for tots and older kids, everything is well maintained including rest rooms which are available even on the trails. My daughter and I go here 6 days a week!

Smooth, paved walking trail. A little flooded right now but still a nice walk.

Great county park. Well maintained, very clean in all areas. The trails was nice and relaxing to walk. The boardwalk areas was all nice and safe to use. Parking was well layed out so it was easy and safe to park. Will return again.

For $2 parking, its a pretty nice park. Places to bike and hike. Paved and unpaved areas, play areas, etc. Lots of natural shade, wonderful variety of flora as well. The expanded boardwalk is also a good addition and worth the 1/2 mile walk.

This is a temporary rating. It is a very beautiful park for biking, walking etc; The small River or large stream is nice to watch. Unfortunately though while bars, restaurants and gyms are open you are NOT permitted to picnic here. I wonder what Hillsborough County is thinking. Maybe there are very large gatherings so they just eliminate everything but restrooms. At least Mother Nature is there, just cant eat with her.

Excellent place to walk. An approximate one mile paved loop with beautiful Florida woodland views, views of historic Alafia river waterway. Another trail is an enjoyable boardwalk overlooking more of Floridas natural flood areas indicated with cypress knees, water flora, various birds can be heard when Walking peacefully through the trails. *Many people think of Florida being all about beaches. This part of Florida is amazing unsung treasure.

This place is like a hidden gem! Its never crowded, beautiful scenery, complimentary poop bags to pick up after your dog, lots of shade, and fun workout stations. Great place for a walk, jog, or bike ride with your whole family. My 8 year old whines every time we leave the house to come here, but completely forgets what he was fussing about whenever we get here . Also cute little park for the kids to enjoy with covered picnic areas and even spots to hang a hammock or pinata! Whats not to like about this place?!

Nice super clean and well take care, due to closures due to the pandemic no fishing is allowed until is over. Excellent for familys outdoor activities

Lovely park with a boardwalk and several trails to walk. There are bathrooms. Park admission is 2 dollars. If you want to reserve a pavilion youll need to call the park. Some common sights are turtles, alligators and many kinds of birds.

Gorgeous place, rented the multi-purpose room to get married. God as my florist, classroom type room but plenty roomy and they were very helpful! Loved everything about it!

Beautiful park with very nice boardwalks and a 1.8 mile paved trail as well as 2 small half mile trails. To dollar entrance fee. Mostly Shaded which is nice here in Florida. Pretty busy on the weekends with people having picnics birthday parties etc. And during the week not busy at all very nice and quiet and serene. Saw an alligator and a turtle which was pretty cool.

A more scenic walk on the off beaten path at alderman fords.

Absolutely beautiful place that is perfect for photos. There are picnic tables, a playground and trails for any one who wants to get up and move or just take in the scenery. I took the photos with my personal camera since I didnt want the photos to not come out right.

One of my fave parks. Perfect for a walk or a run to get some exercise or to just enjoy the trees. Paved and shaded paths and boardwalks. Great spaces for picnic, canoe put in or fishing. $2 entry per car makes it reasonable for a family outting. Something you can do as a family or by yourself.

I’m thankful the girlscouts have coordinated the drinking fountains for dogs. My pups use them often. The area floods during rainy season so be sure to watch for that. There’s plenty of pavilions, benches, grills, and activities for family gatherings. Great place. $2 parking for all day which I assume goes towards maint and upkeep.

If you love a nice place to hike this is cool..about an hour and a half walk around (a couple of miles) and parts of the path are shaded and the others sunny. A few benches to sit. Two bucks to enter.

Nearly 250 reviews and this park has an average of 4.7. That says a lot. It is hard to pick a favorite conservation park in Hillsborough County, because there are so many good ones. But Aldermans Ford has to be near the top. There is a great paved trail thats about 2 miles long, winding through a deep canopy. No need for sunglasses. The trail is full of scenic views, multiple bridges going across the river, exercise equipment, a boat launch, and a beautiful intricate system of boardwalks with plenty of places to take a load off. The path is filled with families biking, jogging, walking, launching kayaks, and just generally having an awesome time. Plenty of wide open space at the entrance with grilling and picnicing opportunities. Also, an unpaved trail that takes you into the woods, and alongside the river. This park is pristinely maintained. A true treasure.

A nice peaceful park with lots of shade from the sun with gentle breezes. The park is pretty clean and scenery is very pleasant! ^^

Very nice has a place to hang a small piñata for small children. Could use a little bit more side walks to shelters for wheelchairs.

Beautiful hike under shade canopy along the river. We did the orange trail and the river loop trail with our dog in a little over an hour. Take bug spray and water. $2 entry

Great well marked trail. Canopy most of the way. Lots of varied terrain. Nice hills for Florida. There is a cool concrete mass near the beginning of the trail. Fill your water bottles back up in the camping area. There is a hand pump. Nice place for a rest or a picnic.

Fantastic park!! ADA Approved trails. At least 1.9 miles of paved trails, plus almost another mile of boardwalks. Excellent facilities, playgrounds, picnic areas. The park was very clean and well maintained. Nature trails available as well as primitive campsites. $2 entry fee. Great river views.

Absolutely beautiful!

This is one of our favorite parks. We have hiked the loop many times and it never gets old. Youll walk alongside the Alafia River and cross over it as well on nice bridges. Depending on how far you walk youll walk on a paved path, wooden boardwalk and/or natural trails. There is a canoe launch in one of the two parking lots. The park also has a playground area as well as shelters for parties or events.

A wonderful park with so many opportunities to see natural habitats and very beautiful riverine scenes! The park has great systems of boardwalks that truly are unmatched, which allow for an interactive walk through some of the best Cypress forest in this area of Florida! Its wonderful and you will enjoy playgrounds for the children, hiking trails for all ages, primitive camping, canoeing and kayaking, viewing wildlife and very good birding, and great pavilions for picnics! Have fun!

Very well maintained. Clean, plenty of area, great place to walk the dogs, rain or shine. Just wished I had known that its $3.00 to get in, credit card or bills, NO COINS. Completely worth the money, and I will be going back there.

My kids and I love coming to walk the trails and play at the park. Today me and my son took a few trail that we havent been on and seen a turtle and alligator

I absolutely am in love with this park. The trails and boardwalk are awesome to walk. I came here almost every weekend while I was pregnant and after I had my baby I came here to walk. I love the extended trail off the boardwalk. So peaceful and quiet.

Its not a huge park like Florida State, but kept super clean. Potholes are filled and marked with white. I would have given it a 5 if bike paths were marked on the paths. Lots of people would block the way and force a steady ride to a stop not realizing they were on a bike path. Educate your visitors for a better experience by all.

Great place! Keep in mind its $2 per car entry fee. Park is always clean and biking/walking/exercise trail is always free of debris. Plenty of pavilions, good sized playgrounds and plenty of bathrooms. Park staff are always friendly.

Theres plenty of space for a cookout. The grills and tables are clean. Theres a playground near the tables for the kids. The trails are beautiful and the main path is paved. Great for going on a bike ride! The kids loved the boardwalk. We saw a lot of critters. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Excellent! Enjoyed a great three and a half mile walk. The hiking area was very shady and followed a stream. Have hiked here before and look forward to our next outing.

Ive been here over 3,000 times to jog, walk, meditate, take dogs, visit with friends....I love this place!

These people have no respect for the visitors or campers in their park. The park rangers had power-trip egos and were rude to us from the moment we stepped foot on the grass(which was dead). I would not recommend visiting this park.

Took a little red wagon, drinks snacks mosquito repellent, and wet wipes.( Mom bag) Neosporin and band-aids.Hey, yall ; wear shoes and socks. And it might be cute, but dont dress your little ones in camo, finding the little darlins hiding behind a tree is easier if they have on caution yellow bright pink lol or tye dye. Great fun,

Behind the ballpark is an area that has 9 miles of trails....good place for your dog....good views of the Alafia river... its all yours...enjoy.!!

Great area park for gatherings or a hike. Easy tails for walking (some for biking), shelters with large charcoal grills, and bathrooms and a playground near the entrance. Theres a $2 fee to park for the day but its free otherwise.

Best place for biking jogging and even for a casual walk. Ranchers are always there and it is safe. Child friendly. Getaway from work and stress just feel the air.

Love going here and walking the trails

We were all camping having fun and they purposely shut down our camp for no reason . Made us all pack up and leave at 11 PM to drive 1 hour back to where we were from(gave us no warning of us being to loud). We offered to do anything to make us not have to drive at that hour on dark roads us college kids out un-familiar with. Also, they made us pay in cash then accused us of taking and pad lock then threatned to make a police report. Absolutely un-professional and no care for the well being of their guests.
