They did give us the wrong table. We arrived right at showtime which was 7:30PM and they had given our table to someone else. We were suppose to have Table 22 but they gave us Table 43. They tried to be slick and just sit us at the other table without saying anything but we noticed. I was upset because the table we were suppose to have was closer to the stage, right upfront. Its just was just the principal that they gave our table away. They didnt even apologize or anything. The show was amazing however. The show was Up and Away, I believe. I was just disappointed by their lack of respect for our seating. This was my first time there and I was so excited. It just gave me a bad taste in my mouth. Had they given us our correct seating I would have given 5 stars. I posted a picture below of the seats we were suppose to have. Again, the seat we got wasnt bad its just the principal.

Wonderful set up to have an amazing evening, watching some real good theater with food and drinks, the only reason I didnt mark it 5 stars is because of the limited choice in menu. Try out the salsa fridays there too, its a 5$ ticket but if you have a ticket to the Broadway show then it warrants free entry. In all a fun evening :)

I love this theatre. We have been to a few shows and each one was better than the last. The venue is up close and personal. Really makes you feel like part of the show. They also do wine nights, craft beer nights, salsa dancing nights. Definitely a hidden in plain sight gem of Pittsburgh.

I love this venue! Intimate seating and having food/drinks at the table are great features. The shows are uniformly good as well as the after hours events, and prices are affordable. Spamilton was outstanding! My only issue is the recent menu changes- there were very few choices compared to what was offered in the past. Please bring the old menu back/add more options, so we dont have to eat somewhere else before the show!

I was there to listen to the singing sensation whose name is Kenia. The woman has a fantastic voice and stage presence. You can tell she feels the music (if you get my gist). Although the venue is small and tables are close, so do the people seem to be,whom I met there. The food tastes amazing and my red wine was the best I ever tasted. I will definitely go back there. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. every Tuesday for the Jazz presentation. In the summer, they move out into the park. The staff is definitely on their toes. The bartender was serving customers and steady slicing fresh fruit for garnishing drinks the entire three hours. Waiter for the tables looked very proficient and professional.

I love going to the Greer Cabaret Theater. I love the more intimate setting and patrons can see the actions close up. I also love that I can watch a show while having some food and drinks. Downside is that the menu is not very good. Very little choices and no food choices if you are a picky eater. Used to have a cheese plate but that is now gone.

This was my first visit to the Cabaret, and I wasnt quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! I had a wonderful time, & wouldnt hesitate to go back again! I had looked over the food options online, & had decided not to dine there; although, many other patrons did choose to do so. (I did order a glass of wine while watching the show, as did just about everyone else) The staff was very friendly, & efficient! The show was incredibly entertaining! I really liked the much more intimate setting the Cabaret provides! It was much more relaxed than shows at the other venues, as you almost feel that the actors have come into your Living room to put on a show just for you! If you have not experienced a show at the Cabaret, I absolutely recommend you do so! Hopefully, you will find yourself as pleasantly surprised with the experience as I was!

I saw Spamilton in this venue. I had never been there before, but my friend had. Its a nice, intimate theater with a decent sound system and tasty food. The food is a little expensive, but not horribly so. The mushroom crustini was fabulos! The only negative was that the piano was, a few times, louder than the performers which made it difficult to hear the lyrics. It was a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. There were a few children present, who seemed to enjoy the event. The dress code for the matinee I attended was business casual (nice tops with khakis/pants/skirts). This would be a nice place for a date, a family outing, or just a night out.

Ive been to 4 or 5 shows at the Pittsburgh cabaret theater and enjoyed them all as a mix of great musical talent and humor. Its already pretty adorable and you can even get discounts with many of the colleges. When I come with someone older, Ill usually get a table since the chairs at the back are harder to get in and out of.

Pittsburghs version of Feinsteins 54 below provides Broadway name entertainment at a fraction of the cost. Off stage bar available while you wait. Table or row seating available. You can eat and drink prior to the performance with food from Meat and Potatoes. Intimate surroundings and sometimes you get a meet and greet with the celebrity. Note this review is limited to the CLO Cabaret series. They also do various stage shows here as well with the same set up.

Review №73

Show was really great: clever and well-performed. Chairs were pretty uncomfortable, hard and backs too straight up. Food was solid bar food, fine but certainly not haute cuisine. Drinks generous. Service good, though they are pretty rushed since they have to get everybody served before the show starts. Go early. Atmosphere rather spartan and industrial. Seating is around tables on the floor or at counters facing the stage at the back of the auditorium. The counters are very narrow and there is little leg room. The stage is raised well above the main floor, so there is a good view from everywhere. I would go again, but bring cushions for the seat and for back support.

Just about each and every Friday, Cabaret hosts Salsa Fridays. It is a wonderful and inexpensive option for a date (just $5.00 per person!). Salsa starts at 10 pm each night with the first 30 minutes set as time for lessons on the basic salsa movements or mixed with some intermediate steps for the more experienced dancers. After that, the dancing goes until 1:00 or 2:00 am! There is a bar right outside for those that wish to have some drinks while dancing. Highly recommend checking this out.

This place is great. It is cozy and intimate without feeling crapped. The shows are hilarious and encompass a wide range of topics. The food is a little pricey but extremely good. The soy glazed salmon is to die for. The drinks are very expensive but that keeps you from drinking more than 2 or 3. At $9 a glass, no one is getting drunk and ruining the show. They have signature drinks to go with each show and they are delicious. The Xanadu was a peachy delight! The staff is friendly. The wait staff are attentive but do not bother you during the show. The come around before, during the intermission and after only. By far my favorite place to catch a show in Pittsburgh. P.S. the drinks are served in real glasses. No sippy cups at this place. Lol
