I grew up on Race st just behind the Baileys house. Sue Bailey and her sisters used to let us neighborhood kids play in their wood pile. I would climb up hill behind my house, walk up Mckay st, cut through a yard that bordered Baileys house and climb the fence that let into their yard. We could go up to the door on the side porch and get one pretzel every day. They had a mina bird that talked and could catch tea tags dropped from the top of its cage in its beak. On Halloween, Sue dressed as a witch with green paint on her face and hands and gave out candied apples. Edgewood was such a great place to grow up. The Baileys were just a part of the whole experience.
It was great to see what you were doing with the two kids.
I forget the young ladys name but she used to let me walk their two Dalmatians when I was a kid! Loved that place! Oh what a basement that was!!! lol!
Used to get pretzels or cookies on my way home after school!
