We went to the Waterfront location last night & had Bob as our head axesman...he was just awesome! We all had a blast :)

Best Experience Ever. Bob was our coach and he was funny, entertaining, and an excellent coach. This was our first attempt at axe throwing and we left a bad AXE!! Would recommend trying. Clean, worth the price, entertaining,

Awesome place and the man working (Jesse) was way more involved with instruction than other ax throwing places. Definitely have to go back.

A group of us went to Crafthouse to celebrate my big zero birthday year. We started with Throw Pittsburgh axe throwing. Even though I could only manage to stick one axe, we had a blast! The instructor was very patient and lighthearted which added to the festivities. AND its only $20 per person per hour! Way cheaper than other axe throwing places in Pittsburgh. I highly recommend Throw Pittsburgh. There is no doubt I and my friends will return.

Really enjoyed playing tic-tac-throw after learning how to throw axes. The coach made learning how to throw easy and approachable for everyone.The place is BYOB, so you can enjoy a few adult beverages while learning your new skills. Wish there was food or something to purchase, but that won’t stop us from going back!

Went here for a team building event. It was a great time. Throwing the axes was fun. We had a group of 10 and it was kinda slow getting through the rounds, bit it was fun. We also did the IQ rooms. They were challenging and fun too.

Rick was an awesome coach and all 4 of the people in my group had a great time! By the end of our session, we were all axe throwing pros because Rick helped and gave us pointers (and different sized axes to throw) the entire time we were there. We loved having free reign of the jukebox, too. It was all around a great time and we’ll definitely be back soon.

We had an amazing time throwing axes. We came as a group of four and were able to space out over two targets since it was a weeknight and they were slow. Magan was awesome! She was so friendly and helpful. It was our first time throwing axes and we felt safe and well informed of the proper throwing technique. We will definitely be returning!

Went with my date and we had a blast! Rick was very knowledgeable and gave great feedback to ensure we had a fun and safe evening. We just came from IQ Escape, so the location was convenient. I would highly recommend Throw Pittsburgh at any of their three locations. An hour went by too quickly, so we will be returning soon!

My husband and I and our two adult boys went here for something different to do while visiting family in Pittsburgh.All of us were nervous going in, but our coach put our fears to rest and we ended up having a great time!! All the staff were very nice. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique activity. Also want to try one of the escape rooms next time we’re in town.

Throw Pittsburgh was a great experience! We went with a group of 8, and had a tournament. They do teach you how to throw before hand, and all the safety rules.The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable. The facility is clean, and bright with a lot of cool artwork on display. This is a great place, if youre looking for a new experience.

Had a great time at Throw. Maggie was great! Had us sticking axes in no time and by the end we were sticking almost every throw. Lots of fun!

This place was awesome and the customer service was great. About 30 minutes before my reservation an employee called me to make sure I was going to the right place. If he didn’t call, I would have gone to the wrong place and missed a significant portion of my reservation. The throwing experience is so much fun. We rented two targets and had a competition that got intense. The staff at THROW PITTSBURGH were attentive the whole time and really helped make the evening great for my friend’s bachelor party. I would absolutely recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back!

Favorite place to throw!!! Not your average axe throwing place. They have different games you can play, the instructors are AMAZING, and you never just sit around waiting for a turn like other places I’ve been to. Plus, BYOB! Ack! Highly recommend.

Owner was friendly, did a pretty good job training us to throw, and overall made it a fun experience for our foursome. The facility was nice. They started us on time, and were generally pretty well organized. The price was great, at $20 a head. I would go back.

Went with coworkers today. Had a great time. Our instructor was great - able to see what everyone was doing wrong and show us how to correct and improve.

Never threw axes before but this was actually really fun..Rick was great, helped me with my form and my axes were sticking in no time..laidback byob cant beat it if your looking for something different to try i would highly recommend.

We had a great time! The staff took the time to thoroughly go over instructions, and it didnt end there...they would step in to offer recommendations/adjustments so that our guests could throw better throughout our entire time there. Also, they were very accommodating to our large group. Definitely recommended!

Fun experience. (South Hills) Throwing facility is really not safe. You throw back to back from the bays. Two bays on the left, two bays on the right and no divider in the center. There is potential to back up into another thrower behind you. You cant see the board from the side either so tough to see your group throwing without encroaching on the group next to you. Should rethink the design. It felt completely random, almost axe throwing is really popular now lets put it in. If you want to do axe throwing, there are better places. If you want to have multiple options of entertainment: axe throwing, bowling, bar, live music, then this would be a place. Still suggest rethink setup for safety reasons.

Tons of fun! Megan makes the experience very fun as well as safe. Definitely coming back ASAP

Went there for a friends birthday and had a blast! Megan was really nice, instruction was quick and helpful, and they even let us stay a little longer than our reserved hour so we could finish our game. The jukebox and BYOB are huge bonuses. Definitely worth a visit!

This was a blast and my family and I had a great time. A great way to have something to do on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was super and very helpful and demonstrated patience as they went through the process of throwing an axe. Highly recommend

Maggie was a great coach, we had a great time! We were visiting from out of town and walked by, so we made reservations for the evening. It was a blast, and I would definitely return!

My son and his friends had a BLAST Throwing for the first time!! They are 11 and were all able to get their ax to stick in the wood! Some even got a bullseye! Super fun and cant wait to come back!

So great to work with! We planned a party for 20 people and THROW accommodated us all and was the best host!

I really would like to give this a three and a half. It is a fun place its a great place to go with a group bring your own beer or food Etc. Its very simple and its not set up really nice the instructions were very limited which is why I can only give it a three and a half and not a four. It just seemed like they werent that interested in us and just gave us some very limited information and then walked away. But it is fun its a blast with a group and its easy to learn how to do and it appears to be fairly safe course you do have hatchets in your hand and knives and stuff like that.

Our group had such a great experience with THROW! Our members ranged in experience and Eric accommodated us quite well in addition to going above and beyond to make our time very enjoyable. He is incredibly personable, kind, and funny and our conversations felt as though we were spending time with an old friend. I highly recommend this establishment for any group.

Just visited for my birthday and I loved it! The space was comfortable, and we only shared the space with two other groups, so this is exactly where I want to hang out with friends and throw axes. It was practically private. The guys working here were wonderful at setting us up, and coaching us when we wanted it.

A lot better than I expected.

Amazing experience! Fun and relaxing as well as competitive. Not to mention bring your own beer. Our instructor Rick explained everything well and showed us the different ways and things to throw with a sense of humor. Pretty interesting considering that it is something different.

Throw was an amazing place to axe throw. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you have a great time and feel very comfortable throwing a variety of weapons. Throw is accommodating to everyone: children, disabled, excited, and timid throwers alike will get personal instruction and help throwing. You can throw am axe in many places in and around the city...but Throw will leave an incredible lasting impression

There are other axe places that seem to have their stuff together. Very tight for large groups. And not a lot of room to hang out. You are also very close to people throwing axes.
