I love this place. There are so many things going on, from basketball games, volleyball games, line dancing, Zumba, rock climbing and indoor swimming on what looks like a waterpark with a huge water slide. They even have a full-sized, raised boxing ring and weighted bags. Its a great place to work out and exercise

This place is awesome for all family members. They have a great variety of activities to entertain anybody. My kids love the pool, splash pad and library. I like their gym and theather. Its clean nice and affordable. They also offer summer camp activities for children and swimming lessons. Bring ypur family, you wont be disappointed.

Between the large indoor pool with water slide and lazy river, the boxing gym and basketball court and track field, this place has me sold. 10/10 would recommend. Be sure if ur trying to get a membership here. They only do them on certain days of the week, so maybe call ahead to avoid a wasted trip.

Fantastic place for fun family activities. Get your dreaded work out in all while having fun with the whole family! Indoor and outdoor activities for all sizes. Group activities including dance classes for different age groups, sports games, play ground for the little ones and much more! Facilities are very well kept.

This was my first visit and I will definitely be going back. I took my 7 year old niece and she had so much fun. Its affordable and indoors, what more can you ask for!

I went on the tour to decide whether I wanted to sign up for a membership. I had called in and received a quote but I wanted to take a tour and see if what was offered justified the cost. I have to say that I was impressed with the facilities & the friendly, knowledgeable staff. This center has so much to offer on a daily basis. I just kept thinking about how I couldnt wait to bring my children here so I took a brochure for us all to look through. From the indoor swimming pool to the rock climbing to the basketball courts to...my very favorite...the boxing gym upstairs I know my family & I will be enjoying this center for a long time to come. There are regular memberships & also scholarships, as long as funding is available, for low income families.

A fantastic center, The Salvation Army KROC where I attended a musical event in the Performing Arts Center. The acoustics was great. There are other amenities if you become a member of this Christian Family Center. Worship service on Sunday, physical fitness and training center, swimming pool, library, gym where you might catch tournaments. They may also have billiards and ping pong. I recommend checking it out.

My sons and I had a good time here. There are a lot of pool facilities for young kids and the pool basketball area was cool. But the adult area is kind of small and they wouldnt allow my 9 and 11 year old sons in the hot tub. My sons love the hot tub. You have to be 12 or older. But we still had a good time swimming and tossing the basketball around in the pool.

Fun and clean environment. Lots of classes and activities for kids and adults. Fitness classes, ballet, boxing, swim, cooking. Kids love it here. If you sign up for classes its cheaper if you have a membership.

Huge, clean, indoor pool, they have a boxing room with a boxing ring. Incredible building that brings light to the neighborhood.

Best gym in Phoenix! They have awesome instructors and staff, with a variety of classes to fit your schedule. Definitely check this place out, you wont regret it!

This is a great community ran outreach/program, organization with a lot of opportunities for the youth in the community to get involved! Definitely a success driven mission for the youth! Love it!

The pool should be bigger but it has the perfect balance of chlorine to not sting your eyes. And it offers perfect in pool fitness course. Only draw back is it has no sauna just a Jacuzzi.

This is not my first time visiting this facility, but this would probably be my worst visit. I was here visiting the pool with a couple of family members. At 12:58 pm while I was sitting at a table I witnessed a female who was the lead lifeguard being pushed into the pool by a male lifeguard with glasses. She barely missed landing on a child! Then she highfived the male who pushed her in as if she was congratulating the inappropriate behavior. As a lead life guard you should know better. Then the two began to talk and laugh before she went on to climb on a lifeguard chair with another lifeguard already in it. Another lifeguard was standing on a chair on top of the slide area, and playing on the rails. Prior to that one was beat boxing on the rail. There were a few lifeguards that acted as if they were truly concerned for the safety of the children. Others chose to behave as if this where a party and not a pool where any childs life can be in danger at any given moment. As a person who has a younger family member in the water this disturbs me to know that something could happen to him, and the lifeguards would be to occupied with their own personal entertainment to do something about it.

I give a low star rating based solely on the lack of availability of restrooms for girls. We attended today a volleyball tournament. Well there were parents and siblings including some fathers and brothers the primary occupant of the facility today were women and girls. Each team had between 10 and 12 players and they were all girls! I know that there are more bathrooms around the corner and this facility we were not allowed to use them and were told that we were relegated to only the bathrooms in the main hallway. With the sheer numbers of girls and women in the facility for a volleyball tournament it would have been nice to have another bathroom available.

The staff is friendly. The building and equipment is clean and updated. Nice atmosphere all around.

This place is amazing. I catered an event here and it was awesome. The staff is very helpful and the center is beautiful. I was very impressed with the full service commercial kitchen and will be extremely excited when they will have it available for use.

They have great staff, it is a very family friendly place Love all the fitness teachers my favorite are Zumba pound and strength training!!! awesome place to go exercise and have fun at the same time!!!

The boxing trainer is totally ready for retirement. hes ran so many fighters out of there its ridiculous, the basketball courts are always occupied by other people thats not even from the community,so the people that pay membership and are from the community never get a chance to truly access the courts. Other than that I would say its state-of-the-art facility.

We enrolled our kids on one of their day camps. They LOVED it. The staff was friendly and helpful. This was an all around good experience.

Love this place we recently started coming here and wish we would of knew about it sooner. Co-workers that work upstairs at night are very nice. We love the family friendly environment . We take care of my husbands mother who has a hard time on exercise equipment so just taking her to walk on the indoor track is great . My husband and I are also raising my 12 year old cousin so it works out great to bring her along kids need exercise too! And the best part of all is the great price! We ditched our old gym ( which is a fantastic gym with lots to offer) but this place fits the needs of our family much better and for the price of the whole family get to go here for the price of one person at the other gym!

The exercise area is friendly people. An the track is indoor to beat the outdoor heat pluse finish off with a indoor pool an hot tub in the lower area nice changing cabanas for bathing thank you

I brought my two and half year old niece and my daughter that is 16 but my daughter was not able to get into the water due to medical reasons and it was clear that we were not going to get into the water because we didn’t have swim attire on and they still charge my daughter and I and their ridiculous prices to just sit in the facility. I ended up paying 18 dollars to sit and watch a bunch of kids swim for an hour when I have been coming here for a few weeks and was previously charged 6 dollars DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON COMING HERE IF YOUR NOT GOING YO UTILIZE THE WHOLE FACILITY

This center is really nice. So much is offered here. Basketball, track, music, cooking, dance, boxing. Enrolled my son in Phx suns Jr. Basketball. Plan to enroll in other activities going forward.Ive seen reviews by others with bad customer service experience, which is interesting and clearly not the norm as I havent had it happen yet and Ive been going several weeks now. Not to say it doesnt happen, but Im wondering if their is a particular person or just bad days.

I think the entire establishment is just awesome. I think all day staff is great, very helpful, parking straight up and down. However I believe that the night security guards are very rude, kick off the property even when there told, theres a situation, they dont care about you. Other than that, GREAT¡

Im not entirely sure exactly what all that they offer, I was here for a meeting and was totally impressed with how much this facility appears to offer. Its clean attractive and huge. The pool area looked extremely inviting.

A community pride.. lots of programs for the community. They have nice facilities for conferences.. and a beautiful auditorium.. they have many youth sporting events.. and classes from first aid to helping teach job searching for the community.. plenty of parking and handicap friendly.. staff friendly and helpful..

We used to go here quite a bit to watch our son play basketball. Great facility with updated equipment and well kept courts. Wish there was a bit more parking.

They need more time for just the kids to play the kids always have to be with an adult like really your better off going to a gym honestly!!

Always super friendly. Love the homeschool class there! The pool is fun too but I have left when bus after bus comes in of kids. That makes it impossible for other people.

The Kroc Center is a jewel in this community. My experience with the employees and service has always been positive. In fact, there has been several time in which I felt their people went over and beyond to assist me. The quality of their gym, facilities, and programs are comparative to many of the high profile gym clubs, but without the pretentiousness. The Kroc Center is a great place for families to enjoy a time of exercise and recreation together. In closing, I cant fail to mention that kids love the indoor pool and slide.

I have always had a great experience coming here and have had the opportunity to work at events held in the auditorium. They take care of their facility very well, they have a friendly staff, and there seems to be quote a lot to do there for the whole family. Im sure you have to pay for everything but once never done anything else there. If it wasnt so far from home I would probably take my family.

I did not necessarily hate the place. However, there is inadequate space to events. I was there for a Special Olympics of Arizona Cheerleading competition; and, seating was extremely limited. I would say I was disappointed more than anything.

So much to do. Hands down the Best rec center in Arizona.

It is a very family oriented environment. Everyone is friendly and talkative. The fitness center and acuatics center are fun with early morning zumba for adult members the staff is great.

My family and I love donating our used clothing shoes toys etc...Its a good example for the children to take care of their things and pass it down to the less fortunate.

Love it, kinda suprised that they dont have towels for the pool and dont allow locker rentals.

I would give zero stars if I could. The staff is not meant to be around children. My daughters volleyball tournament was held here this morning and I was told that I could not eat my protein bar in the gym. I quickly put it away and apologized but before I could swallow what was in my mouth I was approached by Mrs. Woods which repeated to me that I could not eat in the gym. I told her I put it away and that I was already told. She proceeded to get in my personal space and threaten to kick my 11 year old daughter out of the gym! She chased me out of the gym and continued to shout in my face. I apologized numerous times as she continued to scold me for the food that had now been thrown in the garbage. This was a power trip of epic proportions. Not to mention I saw dozens of people eating pretzels and sandwiches througout the event. After she attacked me, she kicked another mom out for spilled coffee that wasnt hers then threatened to call the cops. To top it all off she was yelling at the children because they were jumping.....this is volleyball, they jump.I respect that there is nothing allowed in the gym, which is why I quickly put the bar away. But in everyones defense, most gyms are not that strict about protein bars or quick food as the girls and parents sometimes have very little time to fuel up.This was a pathetic example of community and communication. This woman was screaming at kids for being kids and abusing her authority with adults over minor issues. Her threatening to call 911 over coffee is abusing resources needed for important matters. I would not feel safe having my kids here again. If I am forced to be at this location for another volleyball event, I will be very uncomfortable.
