Very nice small history museum. Its free. Top-notch displays. Several fun, interactive exhibits for kids. A small but classy art display. Well worth a visit. 30 minutes will usually do. Pro tip: Parking can be tough. Try to park at the near-by Phoenix Police Museum. There are several free spaces there. See the Police Museum (20 minutes), then walk over and see the Wells Fargo Museum

I dont care much about old west stuff in general... but I went with a friend on a whim anyways. I was BLOWN AWAY at the fact that they had so many original paintings by NC Wyeth there (one of the BEST illustrators of all time in my opinion)! Im so glad I went. Its a hidden little gem there!

Free museum! On the small side but well organized. We spent about an hour here, reading everything and taking free souvenir pictures in front of the stagecoach (email them to yourself) and printing our faces on money (they print behind the front desk). Exhibits include the gold rush and the value of gold, life on a stagecoach, criminals (stagecoach robbery), banking, and art. They also have a small selection of souvenirs for reasonable prices, such as a decent sized piece of pyrite for $1. While we were there, a very large school group of 4-6 year olds came in and the only staff member on duty was very overwhelmed but handled it with grace. She was kind and patient and I was very impressed! Clean museum, including the restrooms. Parking was a little tricky (street parking or a pay lot), but this museum is worth the trip downtown!!

This was free! There were all kinds of exhibits to make the era come alive. Fairly interactive. The photo opportunities were a highlight. They even emailed a photo. The guy at the desk was up beat and fun. This would be a cool place to take kids. Metered parking was a bit tight and short term. We saw it before the meter expired so was fine.

This was my first visit to the museum. They have amazing artifacts and lots of information about the history of the Wells Fargo Company. The real stagecoach at the front is a great way to see what they looked like. They do have some interactive areas which adults would like. There is an Art Gallery to the back of the building displaying some very beautiful pieces. The only disappointing part was that I couldnt take photos of the historic area. The employee was absolutely wonderful so I definitely will be back! I did take about an hour and a half to go through it!

Quaint place located behind the financial giant with historical displays of the origins and history of the stage coach including the famous pony express and the starters of the company itself. The exhibits are authentic and labeled and photo taking is allowed. A free photo-taking is setup in front of the life-size stage coach that will send the picture to your email address. Another camera is setup in a booth where one can get your face on a paper money bill which gets printed out at the front desk.

I was looking to kill some time when I was exploring downtown phx and I came upon this museum. While it is small, there are so many different unique things to see in this museum, especially the real wagon from back in the pony express days. The guy who worked there was really well informed about everything, and he gave me a great understanding of Wells Fargos history, as well as history of the Pony Express and Gold Rush.

Do not miss this wonderful small museum. In addition to offering a fascinating took at the 19th century west The Wells Fargo History Museum in Phoenix features a jaw-dropping collection of paintings (among others) by renowned American artist and illustrator N. C. Wyeth (father of Andrew Wyeth) and bronzes by greats including Frederic Remington and Ernest Berke.(For N. C. Wyeth fans, this is a must. Wish I could show you some of the artwork but, as with some other galleries, they do not permit photographs of the paintings and bronzes.)They also have an impressive collection of guns, western paraphernalia, and an authentic stagecoach.

What a nice surprise! A no cost, low impact display of historical significance. It took us an hour and a half to see the entire exhibit, read probably 90% of the material, get a free picture of us in front of a real stagecoach, and walk away with a much greater sense of the beginning of the firm. The artwork displayed was very nice, by renowned artists, showing representations of the formative time period.
