Went after work with a group of coworkers. They took covid very seriously and only allowed a few per table and gave us the back section on the picnic benches outside. They had a great drink menu with lots of interesting mixes. Also a good selection of beers. The service was great The night was perfect. They also have heating lamps out back so I guess as it gets colder itll still be a place you can hang for a bit.We did not play the video games but they had a ton of selections and, they had TAPPER my all-time favorite!Loved the vibe. Now I want to go to the one in Brooklyn.

Dont judge a book by the cover is theme her. Not much to look at from the outside. Almost uninviting. They could probably use an arrow or something to let people know that the entrance is on the side. The outside sitting area leaves much to be desired as well, but who wants to be outside when all the fun is inside? Once inside you will think youre back in a time when arcades and video games ruled the landscape. Awesome selection of timeless classics. Plenty of seating room as well. No tvs which is a nice touch. Its all about the pinball machines & Ms. Pacman which I had the high score for about 30 minutes or so. 24 beers on tap. Ordered a margarita just to see how the bartender was. She nailed it. Service was excellent. The food was delicious. Prices were a lil on the high side but the location dictates that and they are on par with Northern Liberties price scale. The restrooms are All Gender and very spacious. The cool thing is this...bring your sharpie to tag up on the walls, or mirror or door. Graffiti is welcomed. They do not have a parking lot so you might have to find one and then walk. Overall this is a very cool place and I will most certainly be back and I highly recommend this facility

Alright Im mostly bothered by the fact is for 21 and over. I get it, its a bar but why do you have arcades. I just want to play the classic arcades, I dont care about the drinks, and youre still making money if you let 18 and above people in. I also understand I can go to a regular arcade, but I want to go to one with older people not little kids running around. I just wanted to vibe.

I just want to give a shoutout of appreciation to the manager Eric here. Last night I went with a group of friends and had an issue with an employee (the details aren’t important, but it was inappropriate behavior) and Eric truly listened to my concerns and situation, then went above and beyond by offering us tokens and drinks to right the situation. I had planned on leaving but we ended up staying for a couple hours and we had a fantastic time. Thank you Eric!

Get a good and balanced stiff drink for effort and price. Then you get to migrate over to the arcade cabinets with something for everyone. Every machine is within reach of a table or stand to rest your drink. The atmosphere alone is worth five stars, but the service and experience go above and beyond.

I took my friend here as part of a birthday scavenger hunt. We had lots of fun. It was very busy early Saturday evening around 4 when we went. We still managed to find seats at the bar and ordered a couple of beers and the guacamole (which was incredibly bland—I don’t recommend it). It was really easy to change money for tokens using the machine near the door. I put in $10 and ended up not using all of the tokens in the next hour and a half so we will be back. That was a great selection of classic games to choose from including streetfighter, Mortal Kombat, Mrs. Pac-Man, donkey Kong, and pinball. It was really helpful that there are spaces next to each game for you to sit your beer. We had a great time and will definitely be back again. Cheers!

The atmosphere is really fun, has a friendly feel and the staff are really friendly. There is a wide selection of retro arcade games and pinball machines. The food is ok, there are really interesting options but ultimately it is bar food. So really great for snacking on, not groundbreaking. The bartenders are quick and generally do a great job, even when busy. However, several of the cocktails we had the night we went were either heavy pours, or the mixes are just meant to be a bit stronger than most. Admittedly, there are not many options for arcades in Philadelphia and that alone forces the Barcade into the top few. Great place! Good food, decent priced drinks, and very cheap games. A bit unfortunate that you have to pay money for tokens, but a token is the same as a quarter. Always a fan of arcade bars, this one is super heavy on the arcade-side as far as these type of places go. Lots of old classics (Tapper, Donkey Kong, Frogger), fighters (MK2, Street Fighter, etc.), shooters, team games (NBA Jam, TMNT, etc.), pinball, the list goes on and on. If youre looking for a game, its probably here. All its missing is table games: no air hockey, foos, or pool... And no need to bring cash, you can put tokens on your tab (though youll pay a totally-reasonable 10% convenience fee).Draft beer selection is fantastic, local and non, and the kitchen seemed to be serving up pub classics at a good clip, though I personally didnt partake. Because of the kitchen, no smoking on the back patio, but theres a place in front for when you are between drinks.
