While I tend to love more old school elaborate architecture in theaters, I was still appreciated Verizon Halls sleek look, and the beautiful organ! (Unfortunately hard to see in the picture) Our seats were up top and pretty far back, but the sound was excellent, and still a good view. What I really liked was the room between rows - unlike the old theaters, there was a good amount of space between rows (you didnt even have to stand up to let people by). I hope I get a chance to go back soon!
Excellent music venue designed to mimic the shape of a violin. Multiple balcony levels offer a variety of viewing experiences but the building is all about the world renowned accoustics. Home of the Philadelphia Orchestra, you can enjoy many different varieties of music ranging from classical to experimental. Ive yet to hear the magnificent and dominantly present pipe organ but look forward to it.
Absolutely beautiful and well organized. The layout is designed well, in its ability to hopd multiple functions at the same time while also limiting crowding. Additionally there is no disturbance by any of the other events taking place at the same. Cant wait to revisit.
One of my favorite places to hear live musical performances. Outstanding acoustics and site lines. The building architecture is unique.
Amazing orchestra! Cant wait to go back! Kudos to all of the musicians.
There is not a bad seat in the auditorium. The sound. Is awesome
Beautiful wood and relatively comfortable seating with no real bad seats found so far for view or sound.
Philadelphias VERIZON is truly a fantastic, attractive musical venue for the Performing Arts. The venue is the New Home for the Philadelphia Orchestra It serves its purpose well to accommodate a diversity of music regarding to the Arts. Not only is classical music performed there, but also Musical Recitals, Pop Show Tunes, Short Versioned* Opera & Plays, Jazz, and commencement speeches / lectures. All of these events are done Tastefully & Respectfully - Maintaining the VENUEs ( Reputation ) *
Attended a concert specifically to see the composer and conductor John Williams. The second row seats could not be beat for price and also the view. Not my usual choice as I like to follow different instruments in the orchestra throughout the pieces but this was ideal for our show. Great venue, comfortable seats. Easy parking nearby.
An exceptional concert venue hosting a great evening of Music celebrating the Geator with a cast of classic artists. We loved every minute
Beautiful concert hall. Acoustics are great and the staff was very helpful.
Was there for The Firebird, It was amazing. Staff was very helpful and professional. Bring a shawl if your always cold though.
Best facility around. Not a bad seat in the place
This beautiful cello-shaped hall is decked in a luscious red. I had to crane my neck to see the musicians from my seat, but the sound was worth it! Lise de la Salle played a soft and musically-nuanced Ginastera encore after her Mendelssohn Piano Concerto 2, and then we were treated to the awe-inspiring Symphonie fantastique, conducted from memory by Herbert Blomstedt. The lively hall makes it hard for the musicians to time their entries precisely, but I loved how powerful and resonant the brass sounded.
Nice seating and the ushers were friendly and entertaining. The show was exceptionally great
A beautiful hall with incredible kinetic art in the lobby. While the place is huge, it keeps an intimate feel even when in one of the balconies.
WHAT CAN I SAY! THIS CONCERT HALL IS AMAZING! I LOOOOOOVE THE WARM FEELING THAT THE WOOD GIVES. THE PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA IS SUPERB! THEY PLAYED AN ALPINE SYMPHONY ABSOLUTELY WONDEFUL!
The venue is fine, the parking is outragous, 30 $ 2 hours, thats philadelphia
It was a joy the music and sounds that came out was awesome
Best orchestra in the world ...great acoustics anywhere in the hall!
Beautiful facility, extraordinary sound, PHL orchestra... fabulous!
Show was on point, Njoyed everybit of it.Thanks Boo, well Appreciated.
Home of our great Philadelphia Orchestra...home of great music and talent...Ushers are friendly and knowledgeable; ticket booth friendly and accommodating seat change requested at the last minute.Nice cafe and lounge!
Great accoustics good views, comfy seats. Great decor.
The show was great, both singers where excellent. The pops rocked.
GREAT Friday aft. conicert!.
Always good performances by top notch performers
I have just gone here over the weekend, it is a very nice place. It has a very nice organ, and great acoustics, especially because of the size of the hall. They perform lots of amazing music here and I definitely recommend going here, it is a great experience.
Enjoyed a show Gregory Porter was a PHENOMENAL performer.seats were great.atmosphere excellent!!!!
The best place to hear the Worlds best Orchestra.
Verizon Hall is beautiful and I look forward to going to more events here. However, I will say I was disappointed in the bar staff. The bells were chiming and they let us buy beverages and didnt inform us they wouldnt be allowed into the theater. Why? Why sell us two glasses of overpriced wine thatd wed have to ditch or chug? Thankfully, the nice lady at our seat entrance let us sneak them in.
Such an incredible place and ensembles with amazing talent
Attended Philadelphia Orchestra with Ben Folds. It was Fantastic. I recommend going and seeing the orchestra they are the best I have ever seen.
Beautiful venue and top-class performers
We had a great time. How about posting the refreshment options? The arrangement next door at the other Kimmel venue was totally different.
A lot of steps to get to the top level
Yo, DO NOT buy tickets here in the summer time ever! Unless you wear at least three pairs of pants or bring a blanket. Each seat has individual FREEZING air conditioning blasting from it to ensure that you stay cold and frozen the entire time. Its summer! Why does it need to be winter all year long, why cant people actually enjoy being comfortable and warm? Why do people want to be miserable all the time? Its not enjoyable and I cannot believe they make people pay to be so miserable and freezing. It was not even that hot out, probably 70 degrees outside when I attended but they ensured that it was as cold as a freezer in here. I did not have a good time because of this.
I hate parking but theres 4 garages maybe within a block. Building is gorgeous, sound was impeccable, and the staff was very nice. Would come back.
Great place to hear music.
The Kimmel Center is beautiful. The building architecture is captivating and paintings/sculptures inside give it a nice touch. Ive been here for Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra concerts and Im always blown away by the groups sound. They put on a quality, classy show. If you overlook the people who cough during the performance, the acoustics in the hall give the music a heavenly, moving timbre.
Amazing experience watching the Philadelphia Orchestra perform.
Wonderful concert by the Philadelphia Orchestra with Lisa Bariashvilli. Music new to the orchestra, and probably most if the audience as well as an interpretation of an old warhorse, the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto that made you forget other performances youd heard before and a profoundly moving performance of Jan Sibelius compelling Seventh, and last, symphony.
Excellent acoustics, comfortable seats, and attentive ushers. Easy to find parking nearby.
Great view from any seat. Nice venue for graduation.
Amazing acoustics, amazing experience!
The concert was very good with the extra fun with musicians Halloween costumes.Beautiful concert hall with a gorgeous pipe organ. Seats are comfortable. However its overall sound system was a little bit disappointing. In addition, there was a emcee but his words were not clear with eco of mic. This Verizon Hall is located in the Kimmel Center for Performance Art.Parking at this building is expensive ($26).
The acoustic in this hall are amazing. I have never had a bad experience in this venue..every show year after year has been amazing .
Fantastic venue. Sat in box 64 for the Pops for an incredible Sunday afternoon show. Every Philadelphian should watch a performance here at least once, truly an experience
Nice place to go for an event at any time.
Always wonderful to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra perform at their home on Broad Street
Philadelphia orchestra is fantastic as always.
Acoustically perfect for orchestra performances.
Its a beautiful venue with really excellent acoustics. Hire more bartenders for intermissions and youll get the fifth star.
They can use some fresh lounge furniture
What a concert hall!
Beautiful performing hall with great acoustics and a fantastic pipe organ! I went for a small performance and was impressed, Id love to go back and hear the symphony orchestra here!
State of the art venue with amazing acoustics!
Great seats@
Philadelphia orchestra is world class and get to play in a world class venue
What a beautiful space with awesome acoustics. I cant believe Ive never been there before, but so glad I finally went. We attended a performance of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra Fat Tuesday Celebration.
As someone who has performed her and witnessed concerts here multiple times of both, this concert hall is amazing. The acoustics, unlike Schwetzingen Palace (Germany), are great for instruments of orchestras, solos, and the voices of choirs such as the one Im in, the Keystone State Boychoir.
Absolutely gorgeous with excellent world-class acoustics!
Fantastic Sound
Beautiful venue!!
Great venue, even better orchestra
Fantastic acoustics except behind the orchestra. If you get seats there, ask an usher to seat you in different seats later in the program.
Love playing shows in Philly. This is a great concert hall.
Grand. Not as Grand as the Academy of Music...but pretty cool.
Was fortunate enough to see the Philadelphia youth orchestra, they were delightful!
You have to visit it at least once and you cant wait to return!
Great venue to listen to the Orchestra.
Live music in a nearly accoustically perfect place, what more could you ask for?
Wonderful concert hall.
Always a great experience at Verizon Hall.
Marvelous!
Absolutely a stunning experience! The Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra is a rare treasure!
Interior architecture provides amazing acoustics.
Beautiful venue. The organ is killer.
The organ show was spectacular.
