The Philadelphia Clef Club of The Performing Arts has been a vital part of My immediate Family as well as My chosen Art Family!!! I am Miss Justines & McCoy Tyners Niece, and a previous Member of Philadelphias own Native Band, The Soul DeValents/Force of Nature ... Soul Delights/Pure Elegance This phenomenal location has been an integral part of My entire life!!!
This is a nice, intimate location for concerts. I go to see Kindred Presents from time to time. It can get really cozy, though, so you want to arrive early when the doors open for whatever show you go to. Overall, the staff is nice and the facilities are clean with cozy ambiance. The drinks are a good price and strong. My only issue is that there is no bar on the lower floor and it would be better if every show had wait staff taking orders instead of folks having to go back-and-forth upstairs to get drinks.
Always hear the most amazing talented musicians. Been going there for five years. Many musicians in the audience. They know each other. It feels like family to me, all different races and ages. Nothing like it in the world. And now they have a publicity person who is getting the word out and this concert series had funding from PNC bank.
I havent been to the Clef club in a decade. I forgot what a great venue it is. The tiered riser cocktail tables are a perfect combination of comfortable seating and a great view of the stage. I was there for a professional organization program, but look forward to hearing some more jazz there. Great little bar at the top of the seating too!
What a wonderful and somewhat hidden resource for the city of Philadelphia! A jazz club with top-notch musicians inside a renowned music school on South Broad and Fitzwater. They have a lot of immensely talented bands that play here, both “names” as well as up-and-comers as well as student open-mic pick-up bands. They also have a bar, which rounds out the experience. I am dinging them one star to four stars because the drink service is somewhat chaotic and, at least, some drinks are very expensive ($24 for a double-shot of Jack Daniela??!!). But this really, overall, is a five-star establishment and I am thrilled that they exist.
I was there for a celebration of life ceremony its a very nice establishment, however parking is difficult to find I would return there again
Best place Ive been to. Great entertainment
Visited the Clef Club to purchase tickets for Philly Bloco show. Great staff! Looking forward to it. This will be my second show at the Clef. First was an awards event and I knew I would be back. Small, intimate performance venue. Conveniently located, easily accessible via SEPTA. Just perfect.
Nice bar area. Acoustics- great! Sound and lighting guy was great. VIP tickets arent worth it if you dont like table style seating and being sandwiched into one area. Its pretty tight. Above is good spacing. You can see from all views and angles. Upper bar area is pretty cool. Need some updating and solid drink menu (he didnt know how to make a mojito). Parking is tough but youll find it and will probably have to walk but not too far and most areas are well lit. Would go again. It was a fun night out.
It was a nice vibe in this joinr
It is like being home. Casual service. Great music. Fun people. Great lineup in April.

A treasured local icon. Such amazing talent.
Very nice experience!
Nice place to listen to jazz
Best place for straight jazz. You will here the best cat in town play.
I have not attended an event at this venue in quite some. It was the best inexpensive presentation ever that included the youth students. My child will start learning violin in her elementary school, I will make it my business to take her and her siblings to this venue and maybe enroll her in classes. They need to know what their possibilities are. I absolutely loved John Blake! I must buy his CD for them.
Awesome experience...really enjoyed myself..Music was great..Will be going again.
An overlooked Gem of Philadelphia. Staff is pleasant and venue is great!
Had a great time. Will definitely recommend.
Went to a show, wonderful time!
Great environment! The only drawback was climbing the stairs for refreshments.
Reservation process for show tickets is very confusing and staff has no empathy.

Great outlet for youth
The clef club was great because i got to perform there with my class and we got to dance there.
