A spacious place for kids to play in a trendy neighborhood. A parking lot, $5 for 3 hours half a block away. Bring your lunch (or order nearby) or grab a little snack there. This beautifully constructed space is wonderfully thought out. Parents can enjoy time with their children or steps away utilizing a counter and outlets for their laptop to get work done. The staff was very complimentary to the space in which they obviously have a passion for children. I highly recommend trying.

Hands down the best play space we’ve ever been to. The amount of thought (and beautiful design) that went into the space is incredible; from the custom play features, to the toys and books they selected, to the elevated parents’ lookout and on-the-go cafe, this was clearly a labor of love.

Great place to let the kids let off some steam. They do parties. The party room is large and spacious. They even take care of the cake from Ramona Susans which is awesome! For an extra charge theyll provide buckets of ice for your adult beverages

Without Playarts my wife and I would be lost and our children would be bored. Such a great spot. The staff is fantastic and honestly so are the other parents that go there.

We love PlayArts! The space is beautifully and thoughtfully designed (and clean!). My baby and I take advantage of their co-working offering every week so I can get work done while he plays nearby with his friends under the supervision of PlayArts teachers/staff who we adore. My dad attends a baby music class the baby and stays for them to play after class. The staff is amazing-- they are wonderful with my child, helpful to me, and make this a treasured space for families in Philadelphia.

Bring my kids here all the time. They love the play space and the classes too.

Fantastic play area for kids right in Fishtown

Writing this review for a childs birthday party. We recently had my sons 1st birthday celebration here and it we had the most amazing experience. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs and made set up and break down a breeze. The space itself has many options for developmentally appropriate play for a range of ages.We booked a party that went on during open play hours and were very happy that the play area was full of children with attentive parents. All our guests had a blast!Thank you Play Arts for a great 1st birthday party for our son!!

The place is wonderful, however adults do not properly supervise their child. I think it should be a separate room or area for children under 1 years of age. My child is 1 and a 2 year old ran up to my son while he was sitting on the floor playing with a car and smacked him.

I was very disappointed in this place. It is not culturally diverse at all. As well as the front desk person and staff are sarcastic and very snotty. I had forgotten my card at home. So I asked if I could pay cash. The front desk girl said she’d ask the owner if they could take a cash payment. So she walked away to ask her. I guess since I’m Hispanic. I looked uneducated to her. Little does she know I’m far from un-educated. As well as can read lips. I won’t repeat what she said to the owner. What I can say is it was rude of her to make fun of me for asking a common question anyone would’ve asked. They where looking over at me and my husband and 8 month old laughing. When she came back. It took all of me not to go off on her. So I’m now writing this review to let people know what a crappie place this is. The saddest part is the young lady was African American. I expected more from this place. As well as a kid fell off one of the toys while we where there. No one came to the child’s aid. The staff just acted as if nothing happened. The child cried for about 3 minutes. Got up and went about their way. Regardless I felt like someone should’ve gotten up to check on the child and didn’t. This is not a place where if your ethic you will be welcomed.

Such a nice place to host a kids birthday party or any kids event. The space is amazing, very open and spacious. They will work with you on how to use the space to bring your plans to life. The kids love it here. There is so many different toys and activities that they can take part in. Would totally recommend.

Great space for programming or private events

Best spot for kids in the river wards, if not all of philly. We have a membership for my two year old and love the flexibility of just dropping in to play whenever we would like. Their hours are pretty good, works well for my toddler. It super clean and has a nice mezzanine for eating. If you have older kids you could potentially watch them from here while enjoying your own food. I recommend this space to anyone with small children. With the long cold winter and now stifling heat waves of summer, this has been a savior from cabin fever.

Love the play space. Its very clean and kid and parent friendly. Its a great way to spend couple hours for my almost 1 year old and a wonderful place for her to socialize with other kids. Weve done the music class as well and my little one has lots of fun with it.

This place is awesome. Basically, if I was still a kid, this would be my dream house. Its bright, clean, modern, with plenty of places for kids to play, climb, read, make art...appropriate for all ages too. It has several indoor tree houses and classrooms for art projects.

Really nice space. A good variety of structures and toys. Has a loft area for parents to sit and watch kids. A little pricey but well worth it on a rainy day.

Pretty good for Philadelphia. Terrible roads to get there.

Everything about this place is exceptional. So pretty. So relaxed. So friendly! The staff is amazing.

This place is a lifesaver on rainy days and our 2.5 year old wants to get out of the house. Lots of fun for the kids, and a nice place to meet parents from the neighborhood.

Great place to let your kids run around, during the winter months especially. Theres always something to do and theres nice seating for the parents.

Its a cute place, but they need to add more to it. Not enough play things for children!! They say its for ages 1-5 But they really do not have age appropriate things/toys/ equipment for one year olds. As for five year olds the things they do is to young for five year olds. Id say its good for kids between the ages of older 2 years and maybe very young 4 year olds!!

Great place for baby

Play Arts is a beautiful, magical space for both kids and their grown ups. I am so thankful and proud that it is our neighborhood spot, though I would easily travel to visit as well. Usually after spending time in places like the zoo or Please Touch Museum (which, of course, have their own merit), I feel completely exhausted. Play Arts is the first place ostensibly for kiddos in which we as adults have also felt able to relax. The open floor plan with lofted eating/ sitting area enables parents to easily spot their kiddos as they explore the play space chock full of building blocks, trains, legos and climbing structures. The cozy reading nook and cool non-“plasticky” toys make you want to get down with your own kid-within too!Beyond the amazing physical space (did I mention how beautiful it is?!), the staff are so helpful, unpretentious, and kind-hearted. Their warm welcome and stealth ability to maintain safety and happy play were major reasons for why we decided to have our daughter’s 4th birthday party here. The ability to BYO food and drinks (including alcohol for grown ups) didn’t hurt either.I can’t endorse Play Arts enough. So just get a membership and come play with us!
