I played at this park in the 80s. I took my granddaughters here last week for a picnic and play time. They loved it!

Loved this park for years. My brothers and I growing up and now a go-to spot for me andy little ones. Spread out across at least a few acres or more, Its shaded all over by beautiful old oaks, gated around the perimeter, and includes a whole disc golf course. Fave park from here to Santa Rosa

Typically I love this park. Its one of 2 places, that I know of in Pensacola, that has a disc golf course- the other being the UWF Campus.I dont even have a problem with the park itself right now, not really. Honestly its just that the construction of the turnabout on Langley is a bit inconvenient at this time. No other issues i can think of besides the needed turnabout on this busy road, especially with plans for a soccer complex in the near future where the YMCA used to be just next to the Hitzman-Optimist park.Its a great playground, plenty of shady spaces as well as sunny, covered picnic area, restrooms etc.

I often bring my 2 year old here and let him run around. There are usually a few families there, an area for small kids and the bigger kids. They run, jump, and play tag in the bigger, blue area so have to keep an eye on the little kids if you go. Folks enjoy the frisbee golf course also, not up my alley though.

One if the best parks in Pensacola. Just got a great new playground for kids. Has fields for soccer and other sports. Disc golf. Great location for so many neighborhoods. ... Could just use a little sprucing up, but were getting there!

I think this is the best playground/park in Pensacola. Several sections with lots of slides, swings, and jungle gyms. A big open field in the back and a nine-hole disc golf course.

Great course. I would say slightly above begginer level. Only issue is maintenance. The grass has been really tall the last couple of times Ive played.

Great 9 hole warm up course for disc golf, a playground for children, and plenty of space to enjoy the park.

The play structure is new and has some original interactive gizmos, but the bathrooms are locked and the tables, benches and fences are in need of repair/replacement. Plenty of parking close to the structure.

Lots to do at this very popular park which has been a staple in Pensacola for as long as I can remember! Many play areas for the kids as well as a disc golf course for those who enjoy the sport. The adjacent YMCA is currently undergoing a vast renovation and so be prepared for construction crews and noise.

Did not care for dogs to be at that park when my baby cousin is allergic to them.

Park isnt the same anymore, with them ripping out the the YMCA and the baseball field. I enjoyed taking our dog there because it was always mowed, and she could stretch her legs, and do her business. Well now that were loosing the park, some people out there will have learned to appreciate what people do for you and clean up after there dog

We truly enjoy this park! I love that there is a toddler area in the new playground. I also love the padding. I took away one star because there isn’t much shade near the new playground.

I love waking my dog there. He seems more calm and familiar waking there than any other place. Hes a finicky pup when it comes to where he walks.

Nice large play structure and several other structures for kids. Several different swing areas. Lots of parking.

On a Sunday it was busy enough that the atmosphere was great, but it wasnt crowded. The 3-4 separate play areas kept it fresh for the kids.

Really great short, 9 hole course making it perfect for beginners. Tees average ~300 ft. The abundance of trees represents the only minor challenge.

Kids love this park, there are a ton of activities and obstacles, slides, swings. Theres also musical activities. My little ones always want to go there

Very nice, its designed to be accessible by children with disabilities, but non-disabled children love it as well.

They have updated this park and made it a lively place for everyone. New play area, disc golf, picnic area, bleachers. This is just a fantastic park!

Fun on Saturdays when the LARPERS are providing entertainment. The new play set is rad but the old ones might have tetanus. Enjoy but be smart!

Love the nearly remodeled playground...would rate a 5 for that part. Some of the playgrounds and swings still need an update, as well as the bathrooms. One bathroom has been remodeled (separate on the side) but it has NO ventilation and gets very hot and stuffy fast! Plus there was a man who appeared to be living in the area with belongings and water bottles (at least 10) kept on and under the bench by the bathrooms.

Disc golf course is short but oh so sweet. Practice throwing around tons of trees. Really stress test the plastic in these new space age plastic polymer disks. Be amazed how quickly a disk can be turned into a taco and then back into disc all in one flick of the wrist. But seriously tho its a relaxing 9 hole practice course located in a nicely wooded section of town, with all flora and fauna of said wooded area remaining relatively intact. Only exception being those desensitized squirrels. Always shaking me down for lunch money and lobbing fresh young green pinecones at my head. Boy do those hurt. Hope to see ya out there sometime.

The covered area, picnic benches, wooden risers/benches could use alot of work or replacement. The trees have alot of weak rotting limbs and need maintenance or at least get the extension office out there to check them. A large limb fell from the tree less than ten feet away from me while I was sitting at a table. This limb was at least 7 in circumference. What if that fell on a child or person?

Awesome park to play! There are multiple playgrounds and fields for kids to run around get tired amd sleepy ! Its amazing! They have restrooms and water fountains on location as well. Its a good time. Also its not too far from Cordova and other shopping options. Nice to treat the kiddos after a hard played soccer game.

This park still is pretty fun, even at 13 years old right now. To be honest, it used to be 5 stars when I was younger.

Its just a great all around park. If youre into disk golf, they have a good course with lots of trees to make it more fun. Theres lots of picnic tables and grills if you wanted to have a party or something. Theres a playground, mostly, but an even better one is soon to be installed. Theres a huge fenced in soccer field. Several swing sets. Its a huge park with lots of trees and shade. In fact, its mostly shaded. The bathrooms are nice and well kept. The covered picnic tables under the awning on the back side of the bathrooms, just before the entrance to the soccer field, have plenty of room for large gatherings and theres 4 outlets, 1 on top of each of the 4 poles supporting the awning.

Took my Great Granddaughter to the park. Great place clean very modern. She inter acted with many of the other children. Great neighborhood park.

This is the best park in the area according to my 3 kids. There is plenty to do. The playset is really nice. There is plenty of seating and plenty of parking.

Disc golf you say! Great place to bring this kids to play, I believe they have 3 park playgrounds, 2 for sure . Big field to play kick ball or football. I bring my pitties up here to walk around( the two in the picture),bring your own poo bags tho! The YMCA is there also.

I havent been to this park in a few years and to my surprise it has been completely updated and it is fantastic. My kids loved it and so did we!

We have had my daughters birthday party here the last two years, this is one of our favorite parks, plenty of space, nice picnic areas, and has updated playground equipment that the kids just loved.

My kids love this park and really enjoy watching the lightsaber people practice on Sundays

There are ball fields and half a disc golf course here. The course has lots of trees in it but is mostly free of brush and other places to lose discs. It is a great place for beginners. The restrooms are not well-serviced.

Its a good size park with ample parking and restrooms. It also has a outdoor stage for performances. The only downfall is the disk golf course. 9 baskets is fine, but most are missing the concrete pad and the map with the par on it. Why spend $500 for each basket and let it fall into disrepair. Sad really.
