Never golfed before. I have to do more research. But from what it seemed is that no one can really explain golfing to you here, you just have to go out there and start. Only negative thing id say is that even though ill probably buy some stuff here, they wouldnt allow me to go on the putting green practice area because I wasnt buying one. They should allow all customers who are curious about golf at least try something miniscule to try and lure your customers in. If someone came to me wanting to try out a new hobby, Id try to get them excited, teach them and encourage them. But, other than that they are nice people. Just take a friend with you that knows about golfing and thatll teach you.

This Golf Galaxy location store culture is questionable. My experience here has always been pretty bad. They dont allow you to try clubs unless you pay for a fitting. Also, brought in a used club to get modified and the club service employee was dishonest in his assessment of my club (Im an avid golfer and knew more than this guy) telling me that if he did what I asked, it would mess up the club and that it would be better if I sold this club and bought a new one from them. It started to piss me off how dishonest this guy was. I was just thinking how often he must do this to uneducated customers who dont know any better. Multiple other times I was at this store, I would overhear the sales ppl with other vulnerable customers and could easily tell they werent actually helping the customer and just trying to sell them a club. I really dont think most of these guys are qualified to be helping new golfers. I felt like many of these sales guys could have just been some weekend hacker who just got hired at the store. I think the issue with this store is more about how the manager sets the sell, sell, sell culture than what Golf Galaxy as a store really represents. They really need an immediate change in management personnel at this store. The employees seem nice but they really are a bunch of dishonest sales clowns, reminding me of car dealership sales ppl, with the only intent to upsell vulnerable customers who dont know anything about golf. If possible, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. If youre able, Id highly recommend the Golf Galaxy location in Upland. Its a much bigger store and the customer service is so much better. I havent had a negative experience at that store at all.

I have to agree this place really lacks customer service. Waited 15 mins for them to check on stock and they never came back on the phone. Had to call back and ask about price since it was advertise on their website, and he said they would look into price match. Really!!! Sad, might just be still location only. Havent had any issues at other stores in the past.

They had the club I wanted and on top of that you get fitted for free. It was quick it was easy it was fun. Would highly recommended. And they price match anything on the internet

Yall are haters. The team was really helpful from the moment I walked in. I dont know much about golf but that didnt matter. They walked me through the differences in club options and I was able to find my father-in-law a great gift. And the cashier took the time to find a club cover. Thanks guys!!

Went for a driver fitting. Absolutely amazing service by Nick. Tried six different drivers from 4 different manufacturers with different shafts. Walked out with the best driver Ive ever hit. Thank You!

Pretty sad state of affairs. Terrible service. I am hoping the people responsible for running this shop read this. Although after reading all the terrible reviews from past horrible experiences they may not be paying attention or dont care because they do not need to sell any equipment. Thank you for allowing us to see what you guys are like, we too will be spending our money elsewhere.

Went in for an iron fitting. Said I was interested in trying a few different brands to see which one I liked best. Got about 6 or 7 shots with the first club before they took it away from me to move on to the next one. Obvious they were trying to speed the process along and get me in and out as soon as possible. Every request to swap to a different club felt like I was asking them to waste their time, and there was nobody else waiting. I didnt have my greatest ball striking day in the hitting bay, but the service was bare minimum, at most. Got no input on shaft type or stiffness. Never got a chance to see and compare numbers for more than just a few seconds. About halfway through the fitting service, the attendant helping me bailed and left someone else in charge.Only positives from the visit were that I got to try a few different irons that a lot of other stores dont have, and that they ultimately didnt charge me for the fitting.Super disappointed. Wont be returning.

This past time that I visited this shop I was not at all pleased. There was someone at the cash register who greeted me when I arrived. He wasnt really paying all that much attention. He didnt seem to care whether I or anyone else was coming or going. He didnt ask if there was anything that we were looking for in particular. He was watching TV. He was watching one of the more recent major tournaments that was being televised. I understand that golf is interesting and what not but I think that you should pay attention to the guests that you have coming into the store. For all you know, your lack of enthusiasm or lack of eye contact even might mean a huge sale for you and/or your store! He didnt give a single F!I wasnt pleased with that (lack of) interaction from the very beginning. My lil one came in with us. She was interested in the putting area. She and her Dad putted a bit on the practice area. He saw here there and didnt care either. He didnt ask if we needed help or anything. My hubby went over to the wall where there were a number of sets of clubs on display. He picked through some of them, giving each of them a baby test swing, to get an idea for the grip, weight, etc. Still, no help.We went to look through some of the golf attire and some of the golf shoes. We looked around the store for anyone that might work there. Still, no help.I told my hubby I was over it and that I wanted to go. He seemed OK with that too. He had questions but couldnt find anyone who cared at all. When we left there was a girl at the register. She was on her cell phone laying across the counter and just barely said bye. I mean, I kine it must have been close to closing time but my goodness. She was literally lookin like a kiddo in her boring math class trying to stay awake. She had her body strewn across the counter, laying on her arm, on her phone and only gave a smirk and a mediocre, ok!I dont need to come back here for anything but in the event that I come back because the hubby needs to pick something up, I hope they are much better at delivering SOME kind of customer service.

One of the worst golf shops, if not the worst, I’ve ever been to. “Can I hit a few balls?” I asked. “Once you start comparing clubs we’ll have to charge you for a fitting.” Oh, I see. You want to charge me for the process of deciding how I’ll spend money in your store. Terrific. It would be another story if their prices were amazing. But they aren’t. In fact, the prices suck. I decided to leave with just a sleeve of balls because I wanted to try a few new kinds like the Bridgestone Bx and Chrome Softs. “Do you sell balls by the sleeve?” “No.” “When did that happen?” “It’s always been our policy.” I now have my own policy regarding Golf Galaxy. Never go there again and make sure my friends also know to shop elsewhere.

This place sucks now. It was much nicer when it was Golfsmith. They dont have all the new gear. I was looking for the Cleveland Launcher HBs. The sales person told me that they dont carry that line there and he doesnt know why. Save time, money and aggravation and go to Roger Dunns Its worth the longer drive. Pun intended.

I am torn between Titleist and Callaway fairway woods. I had taken 3 swings with a Ping G400 demo and one with the Callaway Steelhead demo 3 wood.The store was almost empty (one guy putting and one guy on the other fitting bay and perhaps two others in the rest of the store) - no one waiting.The attendant informs me that I can take seven swings before they will charge me a fitting fee. I could not believe what I heard - I said thanks for your help but I will be taking a drive down to Roger Dunn
