The family friendly atmosphere is above the rest. The coaches strive to grow their athletes into good people that have confidence in themselves. The communication from the owners, directors, and coaches is outstanding. Amongst all the uncertainties we are all facing right now Momentum is going above and beyond to keep the children safe while striving to make a place for the athletes to go and have a sense of normalcy.
My 9 year old has done rec gymnastics here, then switched to cheer when they opened that program. Coach Megan and Kelsey are really great with the girls and parents. They keep the team working hard yet keep it fun. They are very professional and have a lot of experience. One thing I really liked about the gym program was the progress ribbons and clear requirements for moving up the levels. We did not have this at other gyms we tried. Im not sure if they will implement a similar system for the cheer program, but I do feel like we have great communication with the coaches.
We love momentum! Both of my daughters are in their All Star cheer program. The coaches are caring while also leading their athletes to progress in their skills. I have seen my daughters’ confidence grow exponentially. If you’re looking for a gym that makes you feel like family, this is it.
We have had our 4 girls here at Momentum since they have opened. We love it here! The coaches and owners are amazing and always so helpful and kind. We love that it is such a diverse gym where you can do recreational and/ or competitive gymnastics all under one roof. I love how they offer parents night out and camps as well.
My daughter has been at Momentum since they opened in 2016! Momentum is more than just a gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, ninja gym, it is a family! The dedicated coaches, owners and staff truly care about the success of the athlete not only in gymnastics but also in life as well. My daughter has made life-long friendships, learned many life lessons and continues to learn and grow in her gymnastics through hard work, determination, support and FUN! I would highly recommend Momentum for anyone looking for a gym that provides not only great coaching, facilities and staff, but for a community as well!!
We absolutely love this gym. My daughter is in the excel program and was previously in the rec program. Our favorite part is that the environment during practice and even just in the lobby is a very POSITIVE environment. Coaches are knowledgeable with skills and are really attentive to each student. We highly recommend.
Our daughter joined Momentum mid season and we have nothing but positive things to say about this gym. The owners are engaged and care about the girls and the coaches are top notch. Our daughter has regained her confidence and has had huge improvements over the past couple of months. So happy we found this gym.
Momentum is more than just an athletic facility. Besides their amazing attention to details, skilled and professional coaches and staff, and excellence in sports performance, they are a family of caring dedicated individuals that see you and your kids as people and not just a dollar sign walking in their doors. They are building a community of athletes that value hard work and dedication, but also realize that it should be fun and positive. They understand the value of keeping their structure and programs innovative and fresh. On the very rare chance there is any issue, I have always been met with a caring and sincere response followed by options to help. I recommend this group of amazing people to everyone I know because they are truly the very best. Brenda is especially amazing and always incredibly helpful and an enormous asset to this community.
Both our girls have a great time each week building confidence and coordination. They always leave smiling, not sure what more you could ask for. Thanks.
If you are looking for the best Child Activity Center in the Parker area, 3rd Level Consulting recommends Momentum Athletic Center. Based on our decades of working with Children’s Education, Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Instruction programs in multiple industries and Countries, we are confident in our recommendation.
We have had our daughter at 2 other gyms in Parker and Momentum is by far the best! We now have both of our daughters enrolled in the XCEL program here. The owners and coaches truly want to see their gymnasts succeed and value open communication with the parents. My daughters would not dream of going to another gym and they love their coaches. The facilities are clean with ample spaces for parents to watch and they even have toys and tvs to help entertain any younger siblings while they wait. Anytime we have had a question or a concern it has been promptly addressed. I highly recommend Momentum for both cheer and gymnastics for girls of any age!
Awesome gym!As an old employee, I really do see what happens ‘behind the scenes’ and I can tell you.. this gym is genuinely a great place for any child. The management and staff constantly has meetings on how to beat cater your child and what is right for each student. We had meetings that solely focused on technique and safety and about how to get children to the next level. At other jobs, I really saw the way my bosses treated people behind closed doors, but here, it was very different. Everybody views and talks about students like they are all on the same level with I respected so much. A child that is in a beginner gymnastics class is just as important as a team gymnast and vice versa.I loved hearing such positive things and learning even more than I did when starting, plus building relationships and mentoring students is the greatest. We are truly hired to do our best and I respect this gym a lot, even as an old employee. I would definitely enroll my child here!
Every young gymnast starts out with simple and fun tumbling and bouncing around. They eventually learn, grow and move up to more difficult and, well, scary skills. Safety is my absolute number one priority in regards to my daughter and her gymnastics. This all boils down to the coach. You have to trust the coach, and you have to trust the coach way more than just their ability to spot your gymnast. You have to trust theyve developed the strength in the gymnast and taught the right muscle memory before the gymnast even attempts the full on skill. The current coaches here do just that. Theyre amazing. Theyre more than amazing. But, just like the previous coaches, theyre being treated absolutely terrible by the management and owners. Coaching turnover here is a huge problem - in so many ways. For me and my gymnast, we will not support another cycle of coaches. Our daughters safety and growth depends on us putting her in an environment that is safe, stable and supportive.Becky
Can’t say enough good things. My daughter has excelled having coach Sofia. We moved from another Parker gym and are so glad we did. Front desk is always there if I need to ask anything. My daughter is always so happy to see her coach and is always asking “ is it gymnastics day?”
Extremely impressed with this gym and how it’s run. Turnover can be frustrating but with any athletic job, it happens. I’ve seen first hand it handled badly, but this gym seems to be doing all the right steps to keep coaches and have students excel and be happy (which is all that truly matters). Keep doing what you’re doing!
I am not one to complain about businesses online, but I felt compelled to caution anyone considering Momentum. We have had an incredibly negative experience at Momentum, and will no longer be attending this gym. Momentum only cares about packing in as many kids as they can in order to make money than they do about the kids progress, safety, and enthusiasm for the sport. Our daughter has attended Momentum for about one year, after switching from another local gymnasium. Our concerns when we switched were poor communication, high turnover, and stunted progression. Had I known that it would be 100 times worse at Momentum, I would have stayed where we were. The coach turnover at Momentum was unbelievable. We understand that some turnover is natural and expected in this field, but our daughter has had at least 6 different coaches (within one year!) since we started; not to mention the revolving door of coaches that filled in while they were in the process of hiring each new coach. Additionally, there was NO communication regarding coaching changes, nothing! There was never a coach around long enough to get to know my daughter, or to accurately assess her skills. Not only did she not progress because of this, but I noticed some regression in skills she had previously mastered. My daughter who has always loved gymnastics started complaining and crying when it was time to go to practice.Another grievance of ours was that our child has been in the Beginner level for quite some time, and they refused to move her to the next level due to ONE skill that she had not been able to demonstrate consistently. This skill was so important that they practiced it once every other week for about 15 minutes (really only 3-5 min since they spent more time waiting in line to practice). Due to this one skill, she was held back in beginner, even though she was better suited for intermediate, and therefore she regressed in other areas. This added to her growing frustration, and she became bored and stagnant as she was in the same class with kids who had never done gymnastics before. This program is not designed to help kids improve; and they seem to have no interest on changing that so long as the money keeps coming in. This gym has grown too big at such a rapid rate that they cannot keep up with managing the kids they have; yet they continue to just keep packing more kids in. Not only is it hard to even move in the waiting area during times of turnover; often times there are so many people at the viewing windows that watching your child during practice is impossible. I regret staying with them for as long as we did. They talk a good game, and make a lot of promises; but they keep none of them, and from what I can tell, they do not plan to make the changes necessary to improve any time soon.
My daughter has been a part of Momentums gymnastics program for three years now. She spent about a year and a half in rec classes and the other half on the Xcel Team. We have been very happy with her progress in gymnastics. Not only has she learned some great skills, she has more importantly grown as a person. Her confidence and happiness has grown tremendously. Momentum is not just teaching our girls how to do gymnastics but to become confident in themselves. It is teaching them teamwork and friendship as well. I am thankful that my daughter has had this opportunity as she will continue to grow here and will take all that she is learning with her forever.
Very disappointed with our experience at Momentum. Turnover was extremely high which set my child back from making any progress due to the trust and relationship building she was having to continuously do. Management handled my concerns and frustrations very poorly and unprofessionally. I received very bad customer service from a few employees there during the months leading up to our departure. My daughter began to feel frustrated with having a new coach every 1-3 months and also became frustrated with herself for not being able to master the competencies to advance. Her love and excitement for gymnastics faded with each change of coach she experienced. In my final conversation with one of the owners, he stated that he was sorry to hear about my concerns. I did feel heard and understood, unfortunately it was too late. The observable chaos during our two weekly sessions to fill staffing gaps, the merging of different age group classes halfway into the hour, the decreased coaching and supervision all mixed with my daughter’s frustrations and disappointment and the unprofessionalism and poor customer service I received made it enough. Sadly, the damage had been done. It’s been a few months since we left and my daughter has no desire to try out a different gymnastics school. She’s lost interest in the sport and I only hope that one day she will feel excited to give it another shot.
Im not surprised that you dont know who I am. I never really had anyone from management/staff/instructors really try to communicate with me or let me know about my daughters progress. This seems like a great place for already established gymnasts, but not for beginners. The gymnasts in higher levels took up most of the gym space and beginners had to make due with what was left over. I never received any progress reports or communication from anyone. Not impressed.
Paige is great! Works great with kids. Awesome facility. We couldn’t be more happier.
Momentum Athletic Center in Parker is an amazing place to bring your kids for the open gym time or gymnastics! Amazing ownership & staff with huge hearts for kids. Such a blessing! Highly recommended! 5 stars!
I love the coaches i have gotten so many skills and i really like the girls this is the best gym ever!
I really recommend this gym for your children! They have quality staff and coaches! They go out of their way to make sure they meet the needs of every gymnast that they coach.
We no longer attend Momentum for many reasons. We do miss the parents and friendships we built there with families, but just could not support a gym owner that claims my 7 year old was failing!
Response to owner: My biggest concern is that my children were not safe, emotionally or physically. Classes were NEVER canceled and random coaches frequently filled in. There were not broken bones; however, emotional scars are harder to heal. My children we enrolled under the last name Madril. You can reference unauthorized payment emails dated August 27,29,30 sent to owners and Brenda. You can also refer to cancellation email dated Thursday June 7th, no response from Mark-not sure if you are the same owner. There are also several additional documented calls and conversations. I was very clear about being unhappy and I was willing to fix the issues until it was clear management did not care.As we have now enrolled our children in a new gym I am realizing how much damage Momentum inflicted upon my children. A bit of a background: I am a parent of 3 children that attended Momentum for about one year. At the beginning, it was a great experience. We had coaches who were knowledgable and took an interest in our children. Coach Bailey carefully taught my 4 year old son the fundamentals of gymnastics. Unfortunately as time progressed, there was a shocking and disturbing turnover of coaches who left Momentum. At first, there were plausible reasons; however, as more and more coaches left the system it became alarming. We felt that our children were regressing or becoming stagnant. There were numerous times we were concerned for the safety of our children as they performed basic gymnastic routines. Our 8 year old daughter was not correctly supervised or spotted and her safety was in question. In addition, my daughters were becoming bored. I began timing the sessions and my daughters spent approximately 26 minutes walking or standing in line, during a 1 hour session. We started to notice this was the norm. Almost every week, there was a new coach and I watched my childrens enthusiasm and interest in gymnastics decline. Coaches seemed to be bothered, seemingly disgruntled and indifferent to any of the children in their charge. Month after month, they were held back due to unclear standards and not given clear direction on improvement and I had to take home disappointed kids-next month will be better. After numerous talks with Brenda and the front office (no return calls from owners), we pulled our children.Unfortunately, I have not and will not recommend this gymnasium to anyone.
Absolutely love this gym, they really care about the safety of the kiddos and make it fun!
First time here, seems like a really nice and supportive gym. My daughter had a blast.
I moved my two daughters to Momentum from another gym in the area where they had less than positive experiences. I have to say that Momentum truly lives up to their advertising that this gym is all about community. We have had nothing but amazing experiences for my daughters who a part of their recreational program. The coaches are amazing and dedicated and truly care about a quality gymnastics experience for all the kids, not just the teams. The facility is clean and well cared for and there are three different viewing rooms, my favorite of which is one upstairs that includes toys, coloring, and a tv for my little ones. Best of all, this gym is to building up the community by donating 100% of proceeds of open gym night to a local family in need. This is a great facility run by great people!
They have great cloches. And the choaches are keep the kids son safe this is a really great gym to go tooo!!!!!
Great people and my kid loves it been here 3 years
The owner, Kevin Warr, called my child “special needs”
Our entire experience was amazing!
