Saturday morning we spent my pups 7th birthday at the Palm Springs Dog Park. There were lots of dogs playing and having fun. Almost every human was wearing a mask and supervising their dogs. It was a beautiful morning and a great time. This is my husky Kimo Sassafrass playing with his new friend Lily.
Nice park, good size, a walk way around the inside of park . People seem very nice and they watch their dogs!
Place used to be top notch.stopped by one day and the place smelled like dog urine and feces. Everything was stained,no doggie bags anywhere, only one water faucet was working and the grass area was as dry as the parking lot at noon. What has happened to palm springs pride. Its seems as if covid masks are only a suggestion for some of the assorted bunch who show up. I will be looking for some place else, obviously much cleaner where some owners and you know who you are,pay attention to there pets and pick up after them instead of read their cellphones, newspaper or just flat out dont care.
Nice large dog park, plenty of grassy area. Friendly atmosphere and good dog manners.
Whenever I visit Palm Springs, I take my two little dogs to this great off leash park. There are two separately fenced areas, one for big dogs and one for small ones. The small dog park has a large grassy area and a shaded area where pet parents congregate. Many know each other from the neighborhood. There are also a few benches and chairs scattered about. Ive found both dogs and humans alike here to be friendly. After Cupcake got attacked in an AZ doggy daycare, I have both my girls wear puncture proof vests anytime theyre off leash around other dogs. There are also free EV charging stations for my Tesla in the parking lot by city hall. Clean restrooms are located on the east side of city hall, facing the airport. The park was open on Christmas Day, which was wonderful. Check my photos for hours of operation, park rules and closure times. We love this park!
This was a really nice park. They are closed 12noon -3pm for cleaning. The people and the dogs are really nice. It was a fun place for my dog to go and play with other dogs
A GREAT DOG PARK! Maybe it’s because of COVID-19, but the park hasn’t been maintained, trash is overflowed and smells.
Theta and l go every morning. We love our park and all our friends!!
A gorgeous dog park with plenty of room and shade for the hot days. Took our pup for the first time and met so many friendly dogs.
Thoughtfully laid out dig park. Well cared for.
Nice park with a separate area for small dogs. And some nice trees for shade on a warm day.
The nicest and most well maintained dog park I have ever been to! Ample parking, fenced in area with a variety of terrains, water fountain, sun shade and even hooks to hang your leash! I also really appreciated the dog bone shaped bench. Thank you so much!
Big dogs, small dogs & all sizes & breeds in between...they are all here & they are excited to see and smell each other. There are 2 areas fenced within the oval surrounding fence enclosure, one for big & one for small. My dogs go on the big dog side because the yorkie & the pug/terrier love to run as fast as they can while chasing their newly-found friends, they are not afraid of larger dogs & there is plenty of seating for poop-scooping owners to have a conversation with another adult.
Currently closed. Posted sign reads that it will reopen on Dec 20, 2020.
PSDP is a nice large park, split for big and small dogs. It has the best parking of any dog park in the valley. There is a walking path inside the park for walkers. It has lots of trees for shade, and is well lit at night. It does not have restrooms, but there are public restrooms in a nearby building. It has the most mud of any dog park in the valley. Although the city has tried, they cant seem to get watering and drainage right. Overall, I still would recommend this dog park.
This place has the stupidest hours of any dog park I have been to.
Lovely and well kept dog park
It was good size for Dog park. Only thing they need to fix the water fountains is look not clear to me. Just bring your dog stuff please.
My dog loves this park, some of the other dog owners are annoying, but what can you do?
The best dog park Ive ever been to. Its super safe and the exits have two doors so the other dogs dont get out. There are really nice water fountains and there is a lot of room for all dogs if all sizes to play in. There is also a section thats for little dogs only
We came here while on vacation during Thanksgiving week 2016. Someone told us the city had just updated the entire park and it reopened a week before we got there. Its fantastic. Theres a separate area for small dogs, a great lawn, water fountains and bowls, gated areas for safe ingress/egress, benches and shade, and plenty of trash cans.
Fun safe place for your dogs big or small
Great dog park. Pups loved it there.
Very Clean and well supplied with bags and scoopers shaded seating and watering and two fenced areas friendly pets and pettys
Clean, well landscaped, maintained, well lit at night, feels safe in eves. Most importantly, well stocked w/animal shelter waist products.
Well maintained, with fresh water, grass, lots of seating & shade for dogs & owners, plenty of room for play, nice sally-port, plenty of parking.
Good sized .The park is next to the airport that your dog have a great time before / after the trip.
My favourite & most importantly my dog Haleys favourite dog park we have found in the area.
Cool park with easy parking and nice facilities
Awesome park. Friendly...
Nice clean dog park. Really nice size, excellent for big dogs.
Lots of parking, great people, great doggos, and a great facility that is very well maintained. The city and the community obviously take pride in this park and it shows.
Its a good sized park with both a small dog and big dog side. Nice people, overall, most of whom watch after their animals. Parking can fill up in a hurry, its open all week, but closes early on Tuesday and Friday at noon. But it opens up at 7am for the early risers. Im not sure when it closes normally at night, Ill say 6pm. The dogs always love going there so theyd give it 5 paws Im sure!
Very well kept with lots of room for the dogs to run! Always very friendly dogs and owners.
From 2-3pm on this Thursday, the dog population was reasonable and the dogs present were reasonably sociable. The park has two parts: one for small dogs, one for large ones. My dogs are 50 lbs and 72 lbs respectively so we only use the large dog facility. It is maybe 20 yards x 75 yards with very nice trees, two water sources, and shelters from the sun. Poop bags dispensers are available. It appears to be the only public area in town where dogs are allowed off-leash.
This actual dog park is pretty good but be prepared for a lot of challenged dog owners. Lots of shock collars here. Very surprising for a place like Palm springs. there are a lot of retirees in the area many of which have decided to continue buying large dogs without realizing they no longer have the ability to put in the effort to take care of these animals properly. many of the owners around here use this as a place to socialize while their dogs run free. I guess this is okay but not when the dogs are large breeds filled with energy that need work and exercise.
Went to view a larger town dog park. Palm Springs dog park was very sufficient. Double gate entry so as to help corral your dog to inside. Several sitting places around the property. There was a fenced off section dedicated to smaller dogs, if needed. Water spigot was available. My only disappointment was that they did not have any small challenge apparatus s to make for some training opportunities.
Nicely laid out, good size dog park with separate parks for large and small/timid dogs. Park is all grass in great shape, which can be rare at dog parks, but there is also a concrete perimeter path for humans to walk while the pups play. Several water stations and supplied poop bags are convenient, and custom artistic details are a plus, like bone shaped benches, and custom wrought iron fence with desert and dog themed accents
Best park to take large or small dogs, good for people, too.
Awesome place! Very clean, beautiful grounds. Its pure fun and joy for your dog to run freely and find new friends.
Busy, busy park. Theres a small section for small dogs & a much larger area for the larger ones. The large section can get pretty crazy. My dog got very overwhelmed with all the activity going on. Some dogs are pretty aggressive & not well supervised. We had to leave due to an unsupervised dog that was intimidating my dog & getting him all worked up.Theres just too many dogs for the size of the park. Palm Springs need to offer another park or two given large population of dogs in the city. One with a splash pad would be incredible given the heat we experience here.
Nice dog park. Two areas for big and small dogs.
We are visiting Palm Springs for 5 weeks and brought our 2 Cheagles to run and play at the dog park. They both had a great time. All of the other dogs and their people were playful and kind. Lots of grass for the pups to run and play and lots of benches for two legged friends to rest. Safe, secure and fun. We will be back for sure.
Its a really nice park its well-kept everyone who goes there is very polite never really had any issues with the dogs everyone make sure is there animal is behaving themselves I would recommend this place
So much space and the environment is so friendly with amazing people and dogs. Best dog park in the desert in my opinion really does feel like a park specifically for dogs!
All the water was in the sun, 116 degrees. My dog just cried it was too hot. We left. Park seemed ok. I do like the Yucca Park better
It stinks all the time
One of the nicest and friendliest Dog parks weve been
I used to go to this park on a regular basis but there are way too many owners who dont pay any attention to their dogs once they get inside. My dog has been badgered by entire packs of dogs because he likes to stick with me and play fetch, then the other owners start yelling at me when my very big dog snarls at their medium sized dog. They didnt even notice their dog biting my dogs legs. Half the people are great, the other half let their young kids run around barefoot in the park, or bring their chihuahuas into the large dog section.Go to the Rancho mirage or palm desert parks instead if you can.
Great place! Benny loves it and hes friendly with all the dogs.
Just a few there at noon hour; clean and serene. Closed M, W, F, noon to 3pm for maintenance.
Its visit, friendly people, nice layout, will return.
Very nice clean Park with nice dogs on the day I was there
Great place
Nice and airy. Mostly clean.
It’s the dog park...big dogs, little dogs, dogs everywhere. I know more dogs names than I know peoples names. The city needs to kick it up a notch. Irritated when they close the park twice a year .. they scalp they seed and within a few weeks there are giant mud holes everywhere, this crock that everyone here has bought into about scalping and reseeding is a bunch os BS. In this day of high technology someone has got to have come up with something that works better than grass, especially since the city never fixes the irrigation problems. What a waste of time and money. All this being said I still go 7 days a week, the dogs love it
While we have been to larger dog parks, this one is particularly nice. Everyone is friendly and helpful. There is a separate area for smaller dogs. The park is well maintained. It is fun to walk in with our dog, and have him immediately recognize his friends as he runs off to play. Other dog owners are happy to say hello to Harvey as well. Good experience for all
Its an okay dog park. Not convenient to my home but Reba loves running here.
Lots of room to run, walk and play. Very enjoyable with everything you need, such as balls and poop stations for dogs.
Great place to let the dogs run and play...one side is for small dogs.... fun for the dogs and a place where you can meet locals as well as visitors to PS ...talk about dog stuff....
Love the dog park, meet nice people, with nice dogs. Never had any bad experiences here and would recommend to all. There is a small dog park separate from the big dog park.
We love coming here. Its always very clean, the fencing is very cool and artsy. They have lights and wifi.
Really like this park but wish there was a closer bathroom.
Big area for larger dogs. Lots of friendly dog lovers when we visited.
Great place right next door to where I work. Some days can be crazy, but good today.
Wonderful and clean dog park very fun to hang out with other dog lovers!
Quiet placeSeems friendly.I would go back
Fun dog park! Lots of pups!
This is really a unique and cool dog park to go to. Very hip and very trendy no doubt a place to take your dog when youre in Palm Springs.People and dogs are friendly and the dog park is extremely clean and tidy.I wish we had a place like this in Orange County. No doubt Palm Springs has one of the better dog parks Ive ever seen.
It used to be nice, but now they cut the grass space and it doesnt feel it has been maintained for a long time however, it is the only close one to us so we will keep going there
Love, take my bubby Mac there every morning
The dog had a great time
Great place to take any size doggie! My two little girls loved it! Its fenced pretty well, but my one dog did get her head stuck in between the bars for a minute. It could use an upgrade for security and safety. All in all nice park
Older people need to be a little more consider it and pick up after their pets
It was very RUFF RUFF! I loved it
Both my dog and I loved it! Great environments and well-kept.
Wonderful for large and small doggies! Be responsible with your pet and it will be great!
Though my dog had a good time, there is no place that I could pee . .When I looked this place up online, it said it was human friendly . .
Nice park and our dogs love to play with the other dogs. It can get pretty busy with a lot of dogs. So go off hours if you can its less busy
Love this park! Owners respectful and friendly. Lots of room for running. Tons of clean up stations and plenty of water! Oh shade too
The best thing about the dog park is its custom-made fence. Other than that it is a typical dog park with a section for small dogs and another section for large dogs with water for dogs and shade for their humans. It is certainly serviceable especially if you just have to get your dog to the park for some zoomies to tire him out but certainly do not take a special trip to this dog park.
Great park! Clean & fun!
Im wondering why people wouldnt give five stars to this park. I think its all you expect for a dog park. Parking is easy, Id say youll take less than 5 min to find a spot. The park is divided between small dogs and big dogs by a fence.I believe the part for small dogs is not quite big but enough for them. I also understand its made that way so big dogs dont hurt small dogs while playing and running. I dont think I have seen any sign saying small dogs are not allowed into the other side of the park. So I see its really considered having a space just for little dogs. The park has lots of trash cans, it has bags if you need them and tools to help you clean after your dog. It has shade, benches and picnic chairs and tables.Theres thousands of balls along the park, two fountains and all sizes steal bowls. It also has a cool view of the mountains and I took many good pictures!
It would be nice if it had grass and not fox tails. Some People are idiots. They take Their small dogs there.
Improved with new landscaping and seating. Friendly dogs and owners. A good place for dogs to meet and socialize. Also for owners.
The park itself is very nice, it is very large it has shade structures and Nice Landscaping. The only problem is for me, it is a little bit too cliquish, and a lot of people dont watch their dogs or what the dog is doing. My dog is a service dog who also provides limited protection services for me, so when other dogs start running at me barking she responds by terminating the threat. And it usually goes downhill from there hahaha. But it is a beautiful Park, with lots of room
Dog had a good time until somebody showed up with an aggressive dog. It was easier to leave than to convince the owner his dog needed a constant leash.
Love it, unfortunately one lady totally ruined our vibe and tried to say something about no kids under 4?? We had a sleeping baby in a stroller, kids should be around dogs. Then she tried to say something about our pups not being nurtured and it’s a “riverside law”? Anyway there’s no rules like that just wanted to share for future parents. Won’t stop us from going our dogs love it!
