What a great course. Amazing views. Course is maintained very well. I was in a fair number of bunkers and they were all consistent soft sand and none washed out. I think they had just been replaced so its possible the previous golfer just caught them in the middle of replacement.

Played the Resort Course on 3-8-20. The course was in pretty good shape except for the bunkers and where it was washed out. Greens rolled true but they were slower than I expected. Had to take off two stars for the very slow check in at the pro shop and the lack of consistency of the bunkers. Some were soft sand and others were like playing out of packed mud with a base of rocks. Tahquitz needs to remedy those bunkers.

Decent course but we consistently had to wait for 2-3 groups ahead of us to tee off making for a very slow game. I normally wouldnt reduce rating for that but we didnt see a Marshall out there once, so there was no effort by the course to keep pace of play up.

August in the desert and no water on the course? They are doing some repairs to the resort course. Not sure if from the February storms or just fixing some cart paths. Greens were in good shape, fairways were a little rough in places, but generally pretty good. Sand traps were awful. Not dressed, not raked. Several had 5-6 inches of loose sand in them. Never dressed since the new sand was put in. Pace of play was excellent. Staff not very friendly except in the restaurant where they were great. First time to play there. Not sure I will be back. Indian Canyons South is $4 more and much better conditions.

Wow ... Legends course has a little bit of everything. But even before you tee off, youre shocked into reality when you drive up and find yourself outside the USS Arizona memorial - which is actually in Pearl harbour thousands of miles away. Its a rather sobering experience when you realize it must have been the same Hawaiian architect (via Austria - a Mr Preis) that designed this same clubhouse in the early 60s. Once inside, there is a great breakfast / lunch / green fee / cart / 2 drink deal that blew my mind ! For those booking a tee time before 1:00 pm, you get buffet breakfast ... and lunch ... and two drinks (each), in addition to cart and green fees for approx $60 USD. Optimal situation is to book for 0900 tee time ... have breakfast at 0800 ... then lunch and drinks when you finish. Or sign for the drinks and take them with you as you play. At this point I havent even hit a ball and everything is coming up roses ... then things get interesting. If youre playing after 2:00 pm (twilight start when I was there a week ago), you can expect back ups - thats because you can get on for as little as $20 bucks ... 20 BUCKS ! The course crosses or plays through the wash 5 or 6 times, and the 1st and 10th hole blind shots (at golfers on the other side of the respective berm) dont help ...but the place is a keeper. Dont get me wrong ... the sand can drive you crazy (especially with significant lips that can leave a person - i.e. me - trapped), but the greens are in great shape and are a good test. Expect many 3 puts ... and frustration ... but remember youve got a meal in your gut and another coming. Well worth checking it out ... and remember to salute !

A stunning golf course, in beautiful condition, but a day ruined by slow play. Over five and a half hours to play a 6000yd course, on buggies. Ridiculous. I played the legends course. The other 18 is closed due to flooding. Every hole is straight and the greens are flat and tiny for the most part. They roll really good though. Its a really boring course but a decent value. I paid $69 and was supposed to get a free breakfast and lunch plus a sleeve of balls. Well, the very snotty and rude girl behind the desk informed me that any round booked thru Tee off or Golf now does NOT get the comps. I could tell she was more than happy to blow me off (stupid tourist). HEY ! IF YA DONT LIKE TOURISTS work somewhere else !! Overall distasteful experience for me. Will not be golfing here again.

Arnold Palmer is rolling in the grave with the poor level of service his management group offers for this course. Im certain he would not have anything good to say about the condition of the greens...rolled like I was putting in my front yard.We were treated very rudely by the starter who appeared to be Overworked. The Pro Shop counter staff did have their game together. The Free Breakfast and Lunch was something that was not advertised when we booked the tee time so we did not get the full benefit or value of that perk. Plus their policy on charging for Large Styrofoam cups to use for water on the course seemed to be something else Arnie would not see the sense in.The overwhelming smell of the water treatment plant next door was a little unfortunate. The overall condition of the Resort golf course was OK..for the price it was way overrated. (Not sure we ever found out what Resort was associated with this course.) This was not a quiet and tranquil golf environment. Lots of noise from the kids soccer field next to the course and the noise from the traffic on Gene Audrey St took away from the game. The pace of play was above average but not at the pace the course could play if over 80% of the golf courses in the area were not closed due to over seeding. Maybe they will get things together someday.

I loved this place. Because I was visiting Palm Springs for 2 days, I had to rent clubs. When they came out with brand new Callaway Rouge clubs I couldnt believe it. WHAT A TREAT! The course was in beautiful condition with pretty wide fairways. They were busy due to a tournament that started first thing in the morning so it was a little slow, but worth it. Staff was great.I will definitely go back.

JT
Review №68

This golf course is as they state.... An all inclusive. What that means is you get your golf, cart, buffet breakfast, 2 alcoholic drinks aaaaaand a buffet lunch. You will not be needing to eat the rest of the day after golfing here. This is the best deal in the valley. And thats all the time, not just during the low season. And if youre a desert resident, its even better. However the price is awesome regardless.Staff are great. Especially the girls that work the breakfast/lunch area and bar. They are constantly cleaning and ready to get you whatever you need. Because they work so hard, make sure you tip them!! Dont be cheap. Now that youve heard the good, heres the bad. If youre used to golfing quickly, that wont happen here. Plan on being out at least 4 1/2 hours. There are 2 courses here and they are night and day different. Way more money and effort is spent on the resort course. It is however an out and back course. The other course is a bit more of a cow pasture but still playable. If my review was helpful, please give it a thumbs up.

Love these courses and the people who run it with exception to a couple cart guys who have a bad attitude. I went out to play golf in the late evening as it is my favorite time to play since its a bit cooler and you get to watch a great sunset behind Mt San Jacinto. Anyway, I went in the pro shop around 6:30 pm and was told by Aramus that they are no longer sending people out to play golf since it was so late in the day. I pleaded with him and finally he let me go (as I was a single}. I teeded off around 6:45 and had a great round on an empty course and was able to finish nine holes before dark. Great customer service and a great track. Very much appreciated.

What you get for the price they charge is perfectly matched. Had a nice complimentary breakfast, and then proceeded to play 9 holes. This place has tricky quick greens that left me wanting to play another round in an attempt to make up for some of my not so good chip shots. Tee boxes are well maintained, and the fairways and sand traps were in good condition. It is extremely hot there, so play early. Also hole 6, if I remember correctly, had some construction going on, and the whole right side of this long hole was mixed debris and really fine sand. Nice course to play if you’re trying to save a buck, but still want a challenging course. If I ever go back to Palm Springs I’ll be sure to play another 9 at Tahquitz Creek.

The course was in pretty good shape. We rented clubs that should have been wiped down before given out. The cart could have been cleaner.. at least the sunflower seed wiped out. I am on assignment with assisting a friend moving from golf course and the temputure way below 30 degrees and my sleeping bag and bicycle is frozen and I want to make it be known that the people who work at the golf course are very friendly and completely no fault exists in any way and the path of least resistance . It would be simply a tragedy to not acknowledge that the human spirit of survival even under extreme conditions reveals that people do generally help and freedom shall prevail and compliance was met work the order to vacate.
