We just moved in 3 month ago. It was just so nice to be here. They redo the landscapes inside out. SO many pools. I can just go whatever I want to. Location is great, not far away from stores and downtown. Just LOVE IT!!!
Golf course looks great now - theyve done a good job restoring it. Love seeing it green again! Only negative is that they need to cut and ROLL the greens.
COURSE LOOKS GREAT now.... thank god... closest course to downtown PALM SPRINGS.... only problem.... ROLL AND CUT THE GREENS PLEASE AND FIX THE PATCHY SPOTS... but after that storm... GREAT TO SEE IT BACK
Not bad for the price, especially if you used Groupon like I did. First 18 of the year for me and just the 2nd golf experience ever for my GF so we didn’t want to pay a lot or deal with crowds and this place fit the bill. Yes, there are issues. Greens are overgrown and slow, no bar or restaurant to speak of and they lack restrooms on the back nine. I guess a flood created some issues and could not re-open fully. Otherwise the fairways were in decent shape and we had the privacy we were looking for.Pro tip: make sure to take your own beer, water and snacks. They do offer up some sandwiches and snacks in pro shop but not sure when they were made.
GREAT to see the course back and alive... fix the greens. roll the greens... cut the fairways and greens daily please... lets get this course back and rolling.. use the restaurant inside... OPEN the bar... would be a GREAT place to walk and grab a drink for the whole community.
Love this place. The course needs some work after the storm a year or so ago, but news is investors are putting money in to redo :) cant wait
This is definitely not a place to go if you can golf.... At least not on the weekend. You had to wait every shot. Tons of beginners just learning to play and not familiar with etiquette. The conditions are terrible and they have a ton of temporary holes because of damage from over a year ago!! Im not sure whats taking so long to make the repairs. I guess they dont care because people are still coming out. They are the cheapest price in the valley. The staff are all friendly.
Even though this course is priced very cheaply it is still not worth your time and effort to play it. There was a flood that went through the creek that goes through the golf course a while ago. This is not been fixed and it looks like no attempt is being made to repair it or to keep the tea boxes and fairways in shape. The greens are long and shaggy. I really don’t have anything positive to say about it.
With more investment and some hard work Mesquite really can become a premier desert course again. The staffing situation is really good led by Robert and Management team. Shout out to for Joe, great guy and really friendly, helpful service. Have to say I am impressed. First visit for over 5 years and will definitely be back.
Great weather.
The views were great. The greens need a bit of work. There was a lot of flood damage and the last 3 holes were par 3s.
Would not recommend this course. Weeds on very slow greens. Bad fairways. Okay for a beginner golfer.
This was a pleasant experience for me. Im a 77 year old pretty New golfer and played a 103 which is a little over my score at home. If you are used to great golf courses with lots of dog legs and huge greens you probably wont enjoy this course, but if you are just a fair golfer and would rather spend $50 or less on a round, youll like this course. The electric cart was fast and came with a cooler bag with ice already in it. The young man who served us was very friendly and helpful. Expect to see dozens of squirrels, ducks and geese.
It was sad, apparently they are not going to fix the damage from last years flood. Owner does not want to spend the money.
Seasonal public golf course. Closed in the heat of summer. Opens in mid-November. Nicely maintained. Not crowded on the weekdays. Has a driving range. Nice place to play a round of golf.
Always . My favorite Golf resort because of the accomodation by staff and friendly management. Often I meet golfers who appreciate feeling safer as a result of tightened security presence at the course . I feel cheerful to assist them and they ate safe golf cart drivers who avoid accidents and are very comfortable. At this course.
Golf course is in very poor condition. No beverage or food Service at clubhouse.
A beautiful golf course located on a blessed land. Too bad theyre always trimming the bougainvilliers in the condos to the point that theres nothing left of them.
I have played Mesquite for 5 years and 6 times this year. The course is in the best shape since I have played here. The greens, fairways and bunkers are fine and under new management, the staff is friendly and professional. A very good value!
Great value.... nicely designed course.
This year the greens need intensive care. They seem to have been damaged due to the heavy rains in SoCal. Well see next year.
Greens were ok if a little slow. Lots of Par 5s,3 on the front and longish Par 3s. Service was ok. Beautiful views but not a beautiful course. Not terribly expensive but dont want to play it again.
Its not quite ready for prime time.
Course in good shape. Got all 18 holes in starting at 2 pm
Beautiful course. First time here. Will be back
Good value, turf is a bit thin.
Squirrels have taken over the golf course. Little to no grass on the fairways, the greens arent green. Bring 4wd golf cart if possible its a very rough ride.
32 years old, a little tired. Golf was a good value for winter at $40.
Good price for 18 holes. Nice course. Not crowded. Easy to get to in Palm Springs
Terrible customer service, worse course
They are trying to bring the course around after neglect, so expect some rough spots. Good pace of play though which is always nice.
This course requires a great deal of TLC. The $ value may be attractive the course conditions are in need of a great deal of work.
Great staff, fun course, but due to recent flooding the back 9 were washed out and under construction.
From what I understand Mesquite has a long history and to imagine what used to be here and what I experienced when I visited was truly tragic. You can see faint remnants if its former glory but just barely and what remains is an absolute goat track.Unless the cheap green fees are your primary reason for booking at this facility, you will want to book elsewhere. You will be disappointed.
Nice place to spend the day golfing, beautiful course about a 3 on the difficulty rating.
This is not a nature friendly complex, the gardeners keep trimming the trees, bushes, bougainvilliers so much that there are no leaves, no flowers left. They should know that in the summer green keeps the air fresher but no they have to chop down everything and to make it worse they do it all morning starting at 7 so it impossible to sleep. Phase 4 is a ;little bit more quiet but they cut everything just the asme as in phase 3 (the one on the west handside of Farrell). I saw a bunch of dead bees by the pool and it smelt of chemical so I believe they spray something to kill the bees, some of them were not dead and if I hadnt been careful I could have stepped on one of them and got stung. I was thinking of buying a condo at East Mesquite, I wont because Id be arguing with landscaping management all the time. The HOAs could be twice as cheap if they saved on the numbers of hours devoted to cutting trees that dont need to or mowing grass that is way too short. However I have to concede that it is a well maintained and overall pleasant property, but it coulod be more pleasant if the bougainvilliers around the pool were left intact instead of being trimmed to the point that they dont allow for privacy.
Rough around the edges. Great were it counts. T-boxes, fairways and greens.
We have enjoyed playing at Mesquite Country Club for several years and this year we also enjoyed playing the course until our cart went dead. Our golf partners who play there often directed us to the clubhouse, incorrectly as it turned out and we were left pushing the cart ourselves to the clubhouse. The whole incident could have been handled with courtesy and graciousness by the club staff at the desk but was handled poorly. Berating a customer about going off the course with a tone of voice that is abusive will not bring us back here. The staff person was the one who gave us the wrong cart at the beginning. We used a coupon that our condo provides and he gave us a very hard time about that. This fellow who was at the desk on Monday, Feb. 15th was insufferable in his attitude and demeanor. We also came to golf here a few days earlier and found another staff person to be very rude to us. What is happening at this place - sounds like training is in order. Your customer service is truly lacking in courtesy.
Dont make the same mistake I made. The course -from the distance- looks in the poorest shape. I tried calling in the afternoon to cancel my tee time, and no one answered, went to the place, and it was desolated...what golf course is closed at 3pm on a weekend?
In rough shape... nice staff
Nice course. Fairway and greens are very we’ll kept
This is the worst conditioned golf course Ive ever played. Sad, because weve been coming here for twenty years, and weve always enjoyed it. But, dead fairways, dying greens, weeds & grass in the sand traps, the lakes virtually empty with a bad stench, rest rooms open but broken, on and on. Something must be happening, because the members and neighboring properties ought to be raising hell. The staff is nice, and the $18 price was great, but if you are a golfer.... no.
Played 3 courses on during a business trip and this one was my least favorite. Probably due to my game that day but personally, I preferred Desert Dunes & Terra Lago.
This is absolutely the filthiest golf course I have ever played. It seems that they wait for the next wind store to come through to blow the litter away. Rude pro shop employees .
It was in rough shape after the flooding, but it is a nice layout.
Lovely hotel and green. Will visit again soon!
Great bike path, beautiful greens.
Probably in the top 5 worst courses I have ever played. Cheap yes, but I wouldnt play here again if it was free.
Run down. Not cared for hardy at all .
Course in great shape

For the price and friendly staff
Not even worth a star..The front nine is in horrible shape. The back nine seems to look a little better
This place has the worst quality golf balls to use for there driving range.
