Great tasting room. Much prefer their style of tastings and pricing (free up to 8 different wines) versus other stops charging for the tastings. Wine was fabulous. Just wish someone knowing their operations was there for more of your explanation style to learn more about wine processing and their operations.

Love this place! I love being able to walk through the grape vines near the winery. The winery is kept clean and the grass is well maintained. The location is very relaxing but not far from town. Its a beautiful winery and we drove 2 hours and made it a must stop on our adventures and glad we did. We had Strawberry Banana wine which was delicious. This is a must stop if in the area and enjoy the location.

Property is nice, lots of seating, covered areas, ceiling fans. People are friendly. Tasting is free. Stick to the sweet wines, they are decent. If I were rating solely on wine, Id drop it down to a 2 or 3, however, the overall layout is nice. Do not drink the dry wines. SW Michigan dry wines are magnitudes better. Stick to the sweet.

This is the most amazing wine of all different flavors. They are distinct in taste and always are worth trying a new flavor!!! Black & bruised is wheres it at hands down times, love it from Okolona!!!!

I have been here I think three times now. I love their selection of wines. I have my favorite and have discovered more. Chocolate harbor is great and their seasonal carmel apple will make your eyes pop in disbelief. Phenomenal flavor!

My friend and I did an impromptu tasting at the Purple Toad and their wines were great! The staff was knowledgeable. We ended up buying 12 bottles of wine...and we dont even like wine, but we REALLY love this wine! Go to a wine tasting over there and I promise you wont regret it.

I understand times are trying right now with social distancing but there is a way to be nice about enforcing the restrictions. Took a group of 10 by and the lady at the front was constantly yelling at groups and it wasn’t a pleasant atmosphere at all. We won’t be going back.

What a fun place! Id never been before and Im glad I stopped by. Everything was clean, beautiful, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I recommend trying the Cranberry Blueberry Wine and the Black Strawberry Wine if you like something sweeter! ️

Very pretty area and I wouldve really enjoyed going in and doing some tasting and having a nice glass of wine;HOWEVER, they have 1 entrance they want you to use. That would be just fine if they didnt post a sign saying that you cant pass this sign..hostess will greet you type saying. Again that wouldnt be so bad if not for the fact that those of us waiting (7of us) were in a very small area maybe 5x5? And NO ONE greeted us or explained things.They had a HUGE dining area we couldve spread out and maintained social distancing but REALLY???? we were packed in that small area like a holding pen. Plus there was a woman coughing a lot and hacking up a lung. During covid... this is not acceptable. We left!

If you go to Paducah Kentucky make sure you stop by the Purple Toad .. Great Service with Wine Testing...nice sitting room to drink wine and play checkers...

My husband and I stopped for the first time and really liked it everyone was nice and friendly. We tried some wine and brought home s few bottles of kinds we havent seen around home. We like sweet wine so we loved it.

I have loved the experiences of going to Purple Toad until this last time. I will probably go back somewhat as I cant always find the ones I want in other stores. This last time I felt like a bother to them. Not near as friendly. I had made stops 3 times in 6 days and had bought quite a few bottles for friends and family. They have always been so easy about giving us the military discount with or without card. This time no. We waited our turn and it took awhile to be acknowledged. I felt sad that I left with this experience.

Never been to the actual winery, so this review is simply for the wines i have tasted. I havent had a bad wine from this company thus far. I do enjoy sweet wines more than dry, and every wine i have tasted was true to its description. My favorite is the peach wine. I have had peach wines from all over the world, and even homemade peach wine from the amish. Purple toad peach still stands as my favorite!

Nice place, just not my cup of tea on the wines. If you like sweet to very sweet fruit wines this is right up your street, just not for me. They have a few standard wines which are nuce, but still not exactly me or my wifes preference. Nice local though, very inexpensive, free to taste the options which Id never heard of at any other winery.

Best wine in Kentucky! We are from Georgia and when we come to visit family in Paducah we stop by Purple Toad and grab a bottle. Very beautiful place and chilled atmosphere.

My boyfriend & I stopped here on the way to visit family in TN in July. We loved it! Great prices! Friendly staff. I said I liked the wine glasses with the toad on them & she threw them in with our wine free of charge! Got a couple cute t- shirts that were actually very reasonably priced compared to most places like that! Will definitely be back. My mom & aunts just left for vacation to TN & I told them they gotta stop here!

There are so many options and varieties to choose from!! I tend to like the sweet varieties so my choice was the Tropical Sangria. Corey Evitts was there to sing and play music. Hes a local and very talented person that sings songs from many different genres. This was my second time there to see him, oh, and to enjoy some good wine too

They have a great on-site selection of aged and vintage wines with very knowledgeable somanye their to help you make the proper selection for your next meal! Come by and see the fine folks at Purple Toad Winery on Old Hwy. 45 just West of Lone Oak and before you get to the St. Johns Community.

We are locals who LOVE Purple Toad. They have delicious wine and a great atmosphere at their winery. Their wine tasting is free and you can try unlimited wines - in fact you can try every wine on their wine list. But you usually cant get very far on the list before you find one that you have to buy a glass or a bottle of. Their wine is the absolute best, unbeatable, and a great price. They have mostly sweet wines and fruit wines, but a few drys and some very delicious tart wines like the Black Currant. I recommend visiting their winery for a date night or a night with friends. They also make amazing and delicious alcoholic wine slushies!!

One bored Sunday afternoon, us city folk were looking for some adventure. A quick Google brought us to purple Toad. With a name like that, we had to try it out. And we were impressed!! FREE tastings, shipping to home, and amazing FREE popcorn!! Three hours later, we were more than satisfied!! Awesome environment for the whole family.

I love Purple Toad wine but I have never been treated so rudely at a winery! We arrived at 7:40pm. We tried a few samples and then I spent $81.20 for a half a case of wine. I was with two friends who also bought a bottle each. Plus, we each left a tip. The server I had was nice she poured me a glass and reminded me that they were closing soon. I responded nicely that I would be gone soon. My friends and I went to sit down but as soon as we did we were told by the other worker in a rude tone you guys have leave right now we are closed. It was 7:58. I didnt say anything and sat down and drank my wine quickly and left at exactly 8:01. It would be one thing if I had been there long already or another if it was already past closing time. If they were not going to give me even a few minutes to drink it, then they shouldnt have poured it for me. I will not continue to support a place that does not care for their customers!

It was very calming an relaxing. We enjoyed taste testing a few different wine selections yet the service in my opinion has room for improvement. We also enjoyed a glass of blueberry wine while sitting in the lounge listening to Christmas music. The Blueberry was very good! I would recommend the Blueberry or the Black Strawberry, which are two of my favorites. A great selection of different wines, and also had a good gift and souvenir selection. I love the festive Christmas tree bottles. I would recommend this winery to anyone who has a taste for wine in a peaceful atmosphere.

Made the drive down on a Friday from the St. Louis area. Well worth the 3 hour drive. Friendly staff and absolutely incredible wine!

Came here for part of date night with my husband. Beautiful location to relax and drink some of their delicious wines. We sampled several different wines before settling on their delicious Chocolate Harbor. They have cornhole and a beautiful seating area available.

Have bought the wine here were I live but now Ive ordered some and found its cheaper my favorite wine just got even better thank you !!

Such a great atmosphere. Wonderful prices compared to other wineries. 42 wines to sample, no limit, no fee! Doesn’t get anymore reasonable, no wonder why they are so successful. Try Paducah Blue, Honey Mist, & Black Currant you won’t be disappointed.

I would love to give you five stars and I was looking forward to purchasing some wine for a family function in a few weeks. However, your hours state you open at 1:00pm and by 1:17pm the door was still locked and it didnt look like anyone was coming to open anytime soon. My husband and I stopped by on a whim and we werent disappointed. We had fun tasting the wide variety of wines. We ended up purchasing 3 bottles to bring home with us. My only criticism is that the person serving the wine didnt give us any information about the winery or the wines. Part of what makes the experience fun is hearing about the winery, the owner, the wines, the grapes, the wine makers, and how they all come together to make what we are drinking. Otherwise, friendly place and tasty wine.

Good wine. Non rushed service. Area to relax and play board/card games inside and outside. Middle of the road price but top shelf taste. Can try as many as u want for free. Nice open venue. Very hospitable hostesses. Only drawback is that the bar area can be congested on a busy night.

Didnt get to do a tour because they were short staffed but the tasting was worth the drive. The girls working were super nice and got us everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Our first visit. Saw the sign on highway and found the name interesting, so we went. Very nice place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wine was delicious. We had the “Angela’s black cherry” while enjoying the last pleasant day of fall outside. We also brought home a bottle of “Black and Bruised”.Very impressed. We will go back.

OMG!! I like sweet wines, and these might be the BEST I have ever tasted! And my husband found a few dry ones that he liked, too. We intended to buy a couple bottles, but bought a case - and would have bought more if we had the space. My only complaint is that they did not have paper copies of the wine list for our notes, but she did give us paper. We will definitely try to come back here.

My girlfriend LOVES the wine here, specifically the Black and Bruised. The sampling room is very nice and the staff are super. They offer free samples of all of their products and also have a nice area with couches and other seats along with some games peanuts and other snacks.

If you havent been here.... fix that! Be sure to get Allen to give you the tour. The wines are very good.
