Excellent location 1 block from the beach, unit had plenty of room for our family of 6 (though the kids shared a king bad and couch). It even had a hot tub in the back patio area. 2 story unit with 2 King bedrooms, large closets, full kitchen, washer and dryer and 1.5 bath, (upper bath can be accessed from both the hallway and master bedroom). Only issue we had during our stay was lack of beach towels. I suspect you can get these from the office, but due to Covid, check-in and check-out were done contactless, and we were also staying over the holiday, so not sure the office was even open, and didnt want to trouble anyone. It would have been nice if there were some beach/hotub towels left in the unit for use. I dont know anyone that would stay this close to the beach and not use it!Pictures were taken on 2nd day, so ignore the mess...

Very comfy place. Great locating, just a couple blocks from a beach (no shells to find though.) Lots of space. Adequately stocked kitchen utensils and dishes for preparing your own meals. Available washers and dryers too! Helpful staff but not available at all hours. Personal hot tubs per unit!! Four stars due thin walls and loud heating unit/fan.

The unit we had was super clean and everything in it were clean. They even had the dishes in the dishwasher clean and ready to use. Having the jacuzzi also ready for use was great. We had a great stay. Its worth mentioning that its a steps away from the beach.

We stayed 5 days/4 nights in Sept. 2020 and it was OK. Condo has a 70s Florida feel to it. Probly good deal for families w/ kids. We dont have kids. We enjoyed the hot tub and proximity to beach. Other amenities were OK. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was serviceable. Some interactions w/ management were curt/brusque. People who actually came to the condo to help were nicer. Rule against allowing us to store our bikes in backyard was inconvenient. Biggest drawback was not CIS fault but turned out to be location. We discovered Silver Strand Beach is a better beach and would most likely stay there next time.

Love the location and size of these condos. Very sufficient for a family . And within walking distance to the beach. You can see it from your room.

We have been coming here for years, we get a whole house to our selves, it is a two minute walk from the beach, beautiful place for bike riding, daily activitys for you and your kids, farmers markets almost every day! You also get your own spa!

All the bedrooms are up stairs. There is 1 unit of 2 br and 1 1br that arent. But they wont guarantee you will get it.Most condos have their own Spa, BBQ and washer/dryer.

I liked everything . the experience was the best it could possibly have been . The location neighborhood the beach. Nothing could have been better except for the weather which still wasnt bad. I used to live in the shores 30 years ago and it was a complete pleasure to be back and stay at such a unique and beautiful spot, The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back many times going forward

Only steps to the beach, so location couldn’t be better. Not much of a resort, just a place to sleep oh and a nice hot tub on the patio.

I have been a timeshare owner at Channel Island Shores for many years, and it’s wonderful! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, and the location is perfect! It’s one half block from the beach, and a short drive to Ojai, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and the Camarillo Outlets. There’s something for everyone in your family. The beach area is never crowded, and it’s cleaned all of the time. The office has beach chairs, umbrellas, buckets and shovels, etc. for the kids and adults. Again it’s the perfect place for a vacation.

There were 4 women in the two bedroom condo for 2 nights. The location of the condo and closeness to the beach were impeccable. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The condo itself is noisy. Particularly the heating/ air conditioning unit which is right outside the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The plumbing is very loud when someone takes a shower. Especially when you are trying to sleep and someone showers at 6 a.m. Kitchen has everything needed to cook, dine, and eat-in. Appliances are modern and very clean. Tile flooring throughout except carpeting in bedrooms. Pullout couch is comfy in the living room. I think a couple would find accommodations very comfortable. More than 2 adults is overwhelming with different habits. I would return with my husband.

Stayed at Channel Islands Shores for a weekend in March 2020. The check in was very quick and efficient. The size of the unit was huge. We had a two bedroom that was a town house so it had an upstairs and downstairs. We were fortunate to get a Jacuzzi in our unit. The furnishings are not bad, and the beds are comfortable but the floors need to be replaced. The unit was clean and smelled fresh. All of t;he plumbing fixtures and counter tops are old and need to be replaced, but when you take into account the proximity of the beach and how reasonable it is to stay there you can overlook a few things. My biggest complaint was that there were no beach towels. The Grand Pacific, all of the other amenities were very much the same as other Grand Pacific Time Shares. Why could they not provide beach towels. You are expected to use white bath towels at the beach and for the jacuzzi. So you will end up calling house keeping to get more so you can bathe. Its abusurd. It makes it seem like the Time Share is broke. It is just a little thing that goes a long way.

Where do I even begin....Check in time is 4pm...we got a text at 4pm telling us our room was not clean yet and we would not be able to check in on time, we ended up checking in almost 45 min late. Then our keys didnt work...not once, not twice but 4x then they called maintenance and had them come fix the problem. Later that evening we had a very important even to attend (which was the reason why we were visiting Oxnard) only to find out our keys were not working AGAIN, so I called the after hours emergency number (it was 7:14pm) and they told us there was nothing they could do for us that evening because it was after hours and our issue could not be resolved till the following day during business hours. I told them I had a very important event to attend and I needed a key to get back into our apartment after the event and they just said sorry there is nothing we can do to help. So needless to say we had to miss our event because we wouldnt be able to get back into our apartment without a key that worked. Our hot tub only had 1 jet that worked. It was just definitely not worth the pretty penny we spent to stay there for 2 nights. Just based off the customer service I would not recommend or I will not be staying there again. Dont waste your money.

The location was great and I love the fenced in patio surrounding the hot tub. Aneisha explained the late check-in process by text and her directions were perfect. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a spacious two-bedroom condo with a nice kitchen with a gas stove. We had our own private jacuzzi tub on the patio. The place is just a block away from the beach and has private parking. Tile floors downstairs and comfy carpet in the bedrooms. Front office has DVDs and beach items to loan. Nice staff

Check in was easy even though we checked in after hours. Units are bland but you can tell they take good care of them. WARNING - you can hear your neighbors tv, music, coughs, sneezes and word for word discussions. Was up most of the night due to neighbors music. Office instructed me to call security but when I realized I can hear the voices and every cough or sneeze I realized the neighbors were not being rude it was just “paper thin walls” as “they” say...whoever “they” is. Very rough night for almost $200

Location to an underused part of the beach was a treat! Great view from the sidewalk. Premises themselves were a bit dated. Did not appreciate asking for additional tips for the cleaning staff- we expect a clean place upon arrival, and did not have any additional visits from the maid- so very unrealistic expectations. Extremely close to the beach! This place had complimentary sand toys and body boards that we used and made our beach experience so much better! They also were kind enough to allow us to use it even though we already checked out!Having the complimentary tar remover was great since I actually had to use it after coming home from the beach. This is definitely a place you would want to stay more than one night.

We needed a place to spend the night and take a break on the way back from our roadtrip. We booked this with expedia due to the location and price. We were going to arrive a little late but staff was super friendly and helpful. The place itself was better than what we expected. 2 bedrooms, very clean, amenities and even a jacuzzi. Good location too, right by the beach and close to stores. Unfortunately we were just there for the night but I wouldve loved to stay a little longer.

I want to start by saying this is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. The location is great, the rooms are comfy, and most importantly the staff is wonderful. I wish I could live there for the rest of my life. I feel very at home and safe when I vacation at Channel Islands. It’s so peaceful and so quiet during the day and all through the night. I could probably sleep outside to be honest haha. I’ve been here multiple times and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ll always come back when I need a little getaway.

Clean. Spacious. Affordable. Great location. Channel island shores served as a home base for our visit to the area for our sons graduation from Westmont College. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Late check in was very easy and checking out was just as fast.

The condo was very clean, had a nice appearance, is right next to the beach and ocean, and its great to have your own hot tub just outside on the patio. Enjoyed our stay.

Absolute hidden Gem.Had friends stay with you folks and had to update my review.....These folks are extremely curtious and the customer service is beyond reproach. This is 5 star service at a quarter of the price. Big condos that feel very home like and you can almost throw a rock and hit the beach. Family and I will be coming here for years to come. Friends were at one of the big resorts not far down the road and we recommend this hidden gem and it was a night/day difference as they put it.

Excellent beach, all safe marine life. The beach sand is very diverse from the top to the bottom. Not a place for snorkeling from the impression I got as well as not seeing scuba diving promoted much. Very popular for surfing, boogie boarding, skim boarding, canoeing, jet skiing, sailing, and fishing. I saw 1 tent that camped on the beach. Waves can vary from day to day and riptides do occur because of how different each day could be. Just swim parallel to it and all should be well! Peferably swim with small children. Early mornings are the best as it is quiet, less tourists and very friendly locals. Amazing time as well to go running, fish and collect the rounded rocks or sea glass washed up. I found one clam shell in the 3 days I was there. Mostly rocks, but less than there is soft sand. Entering the ocean can be tricky and rocks are thicker with a little dip in which a rough wave could knock you down. I took a tumble there while body boarding and did a full on tuck cartwheel. That couldve been very dangerous if my neck had gotten more force on it. Dolphins are constantly swimming up and down this channell, jumping and playing at times. If you keep looking, you will see them at any time in the day. There is also an occasional sea lion. Whales come here in January and leave around November, but it varies highly as to when you can see them. Lots of diving pelicans and seaweed, but very clean beach overall. All of the marine life stays further out from the beach, about 150 ft. The channel front houses are high class. I stayed in a very nice timeshare condo a block up the street from the beach. There is a good mixture of types of places to rent for a stay, not sure the pricing as I stayed with family. I ran every morning, had fun in the sun, tanning and playing in the ocean. The sufers are way fun to watch and lots of them, more experienced ones than not. Cute to see peoples dogs running and swimming in the ocean for fetch and a cool down. Across this inlet are the Channell Islands themselves which you can take boat rides and even a boat ride to camp there and come back. I heard from locals that killer whales reside just past that and that is why the milder marine life come in to this bay-like area. Great place if you want to relax more than usual and not be by a crowded city. Beaches can get busy, but this beach in particular wasnt crowded up until the Saturday after the 4th of July. Its so large and long, so youre not searching long for a spot. Not sure how it is if you have to park and walk in.

We stayed here for my sisters wedding day. We stayed in one of the two story rooms closest to the beach (we could see the ocean from the balcony). We had a lot of space for the hairdresser and makeup artist to get the bridesmaids ready. A lot of us stayed the night after the wedding, and needless to stay we slept very comfortably. There was about 10 people who stayed over night so there was a lot of people and we all slept superbly. There was also 2 bathrooms and a full size mirror in one of the rooms and a lot of natural light to get ready in which was perfect. My sisters wedding was in the town over, but we really wanted to stay by the beach. This location was perfect for all our needs. One of my most memorable experiences thus far!

Me and my fiancé just had our babymoon here in July since our little was due in August, and let me just say first of all the fact that its 45 seconds from the beach was a plus. But then the service, hospitality, and amenities made it a triple plus and a 10 star resort. Definitely booking our honeymoon here.

I wish I could live here. A great, secluded location in the heart of a great & friendly beach community, the staff is wonderful & the accommodations are VERY comfortable. The hot tub on the deck & the bbq grill are the perfect toppers to my stay.

We love getting away to this hidden gem. We always do family trips here when visiting Universal Studios or fishing charters for my boys. Great location and you feel like you have your own private beach. The staff is always doing fun stuff and always so helpful. Jennifer always takes care of us and makes us feel so special. This is a timeshare property. My mother-in-law used RCI points to trade into this resort. Very clean, very nicely maintained grounds and rooms. The staff are top-notch and make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. About a block and a half walk to the beach and the ocean. Highly recommended.

Hi, although i would not rave about this place i wouldnt have anything drastically negative to say either other than our personal experience. First off, i understand every suite is a bit different compared to the photos shown in terms of layout, but our suite was way off from photos, nowhere near as much room as the photos showed, and the layout was entirely different, the rooms were okay in size and very basic which is just what we needed. However, on night one we opened the microwave to heat up food and someone had failed to take out previous tenants food in there, it was rotten and moldy shrimp, it stunk up our apartment the entire trip, we all had headaches, and got sick from it. Something else minor, there were some red stains in the queen bedroom i stayed in upstairs that appeared to be blood very small, but noticeable. We also found a gatorade bottle under the pull out bed in the common spaces area, very disappointed cleanliness wise. Forgot to mention, our wifi went out saturday night around 8pm and never came back. We loved the location, it was perfect but i definitely dont think any of us are eager to stay here again.

I booked this place on airbnb thinking the cost structure was similar to other places Ive stayed - cost listed is the full price to stay. This place charged a resort fee of $17.95 per day.This resort fee (on airbnb) is misleading folks to think they have found a reasonably priced place. I truly do not know why this place would charge a resort fee. There was no caffeinated coffee provided. There was no live person on premise 24hrs to ask for coffee outside of front desk hours of (9am-6pm on Sunday).Also no hand soap was provided in the two bathrooms and kitchen.So, what was the resort fee covering if this place wasnt exactly a resort?

Even though the condos were very close to each other it was very quiet, especially in the evening. Proximity to the beach was a bonus as was having a hot tub on the deck.

On 12/4/18 I booked my stay at the channel islands shores a place that I once considered to be my favorite bnb/hotel in all of Ventura county . Threw Expedia I made the reservation, but when I got to the property i call the after hours number only to hear that I was not on their list. I ended up sleeping in my car that night.

Parking may be an issue but its a good place to visit with the entire family.

My family stayed in a two bedroom unit (1317). our experience was amazing. The room was available early as requested. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The unit itself was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean. This is a gem and we are already booking our next trip. We enjoy Ventura and Santa Barbara which was only a short drive. The neighborhood in which the shores is located was very nice and people are very friendly. We will be back soon.

Horrible. Gunshots/fireworks went off all night. Besides that, vulgarities were screamed at my guests and I as we tried to sit and chat in the jacuzzi after our long day. A transient tried to climb the wall to our patio while our children were out there and this all occurred as we stayed right behind the main office. Not safe. Not friendly. Not at all accommodating.

The complex is small and well situated for a couple who want to take advantage of the nearby beach (which has loads of sand, unlike many beaches in Southern California). There is a great/inexpensive golf course nearby (Olives Links) which has a wonderful practice area. Ventura is a few miles away and, for those who love to thrift store/junk store shop, it has a plethora of opportunities! We enjoyed our stay and wished that we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay at Channel Island Shores in Oxnard. The staff was fantastic! Every time we went into the office, they served every need we had.We really appreciated having free movies to borrow. We also appreciated having free beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow whenever we needed them.The room was huge. It had its own private hot tub which we really enjoyed.Wed highly recommend this place. Wed love to come back again!

This is like renting an apartment. There is not someone there 24 hours a day to help with emergencies. I was locked out of my room (my fault), but it took 2 hours to get back in. Thank goodness I had my phone with me.

We, 5 of us, stay for just 1 night, all wished if we could stay longer. Nice 1br apartment, full kitchen, washing, drying machine. Best of all, a private jacuzzi on the back yard, I booked the hotel and did not know we have it. Also, bbq stove with charcoal ready.Hoghly recommended.

1 bedroom condo a walk down from the beach, average in devor (nice bed) but..... Location, location, location (even if winter). Has full kitchen, stove, oven, fridge, so you dont have to eat out all the time. And a hot tub in practically each room! Tiffany at front desk is great. Ive called several times before the trip, and so helpful! Roxana is nice also A&G produce stand on Los olivas, yummy strawberries in winter (strawberry capital of California!l Oh, and did mention, short walk to beach:)

Everything about the room, location, staff, etc. was absolutely wonderful. Just a very short walk to the beach. Staff is more than willing to get you whatever you need to make your stay fabulous. Wish we could have stayed longer, in fact, I wished we owned one!
