Best park in oxford ms. You can enjoy the waking and playing experience all the time . Dining and feeding fish is allowed for little ones and pets are allowed. Great big ares to team plays and gatherings. Less parking area but well maintained. Sun set time is very attractive and the middle lake is eye catching.

Great place to take kids under 15 fishing. Nice walking/ running track not to mention beautiful.

Great place to spend time with ur families and friends. Park is big enough (more than enough in fact) to jog or walk the dogs. We saw Canadian geese the last time we visited.

Its a great place to take the kids for a run or to look at the ducks and turtles on the dock. The dock is really nice, and the lake is stocked with fish for the kids to catch or look at.

Beautiful park with a 1.5 mile paved walking/running path and a small lake. More seating arrangements can open the park to everyone, not just to joggers and runners. Still no playground for kids. More trees needed and I am glad the city is working on it.

The park is nice. The art along the path is awesome. The pier is nice too. Restrooms are clean and stocked.

Nice walking path. Offers flat and hills for your workout. Lots of open green space for other activities and a lake to fish in. More seating would be a welcome addition.

Occasionally, come here for jogs since its closer to home. Very public area, but the art scattered near the small grove is a nice touch with the scenery. The lake has been there for as long as I can remember and its my favorite part.

The grass was freshly cut it never get really tall. They have nice paths. You can go the short way or take the longer way round. If you like to play Pokémon go then there are plenty of stops and several gyms for you to visit here.Thats what my friend and I do.

Its a beautiful and spacious place! You can go to paint, run, walk, hang out, or simply to relax. Its a great place to spend time with your family or to have a fieldtrip.

This is Oxford, Mississippis most beautiful park. Its located closest to the University of Mississippi. Long ago it was Oxford Country Club, and had a big golfing area in it. In more recent years, it became owned by the City of Oxford and was renamed Lamar Park after one of Oxfords beloved late mayors, Patricia Lamar. It has walking/jogging/biking trails. There is a lovely lake with a small dock to walk upon and observe some minnows and small fish. The park is dog friendly as long as the dog is on a leash. They also ask that you also respect the others who use the park and pick up after your dog, please! As you walk through the park, you are treated to large pieces of sculpture from local artists as well as pieces that may be on loan from artists from other areas of the country. The park itself is kept beautifully maintained by the large staff that works year-round to make it a special place to visit.

Good park for walking. Very well maintained and long walking path all around the park and pond. Has covered area and also multiple areas to relax amongst the nature.

Lamar Park is a great place to get out for a nice walk/jog with your friends or pets! My husband and I love taking our dogs on a nice day. There is a great walking path around the park, including a small lake with a fishing pier. The only drawback is there isnt a dog park/fenced in area for our pets.

Great walking trails all through the park, no playsets, has a beautiful lake (no swimming), has water fountains along the trails and a restroom facility. I love coming here to walk and see dogs.

Lamar park is a bright spot in oxford to exercise, relax, or just enjoy a quiet moment. The maintenance crew does an excellent job of keeping the park beautiful.

Great for walking or jogging. Large, open areas which are great for outdoor games, such as frisbee or soccer. Dog friendly (with dogs on leashes). There are geese at the pond, and the bigger ones may come up to you and fuss.

Pleasant and vast, but lacks the large trees and tasteful structures of the best parks. It used to be a golf course and still has that feel.
