This place was a great time for me and my family! Our axe master, Mitchell, gave us such a great experience here. He was so funny and lively. We paid for a 2 hour session which was a little pricey, but I feel like we got what we paid for and then some. Those 2 hours just flew by. 10/10, will definitely come back.

Friendly staff made my experience with throwing an axe super easy and successful. I like success. Even got the chance to have some awesome BBQ during their monthly pop-up UFC fight night special! Ill be back!

My husband and I went here for an anniversary date night and had a blast! Charlie was a great Axe Master! Even in a group of nine strangers we had an awesome time! We brought a six pack and some Smirnoff to drink and they told us we could have any food we wanted delivered from like Door Dash or wherever. They have fridges to keep your drinks cold but most people brought small coolers. I love when someone tries to do “Killshot” and the whole place erupts into noise, banging on the shelves and the tables to throw them off. We visited here for a friends birthday party and it was SO MUCH FUN! I was kind of nervous about it but our axe master did an awesome job explaining it and making it enjoyable. He was hilarious and super knowledgeable. It would not have been as fun without him!They also have a giant jenga and connect four you can play while you wait for your lane! We almost had as much fun doing that as the axe throwing!Everyone had a good time and I think we would all love to go again! It wont be a regular thing for me because its a little expensive but it would be a great option for special occasions! I would definitely suggest this place!

We had our small group Christmas party here. There were 12 of us but only 8 threw the axe. They have a variety of axes to choose from. SO MUCH FUN!!!!! We all had a great time.

This place was absolutely amazing. The guy that helped us out was able to identify the problems with our throws and help us correct instantly. Wonderful place will be returning with more friends!

Took our youth group there tonight for some bonding time and it was a blast. It was so much fun seeing everyone cheer everyone on. The staff were even having fun! You could tell that they wanted to make sure everyone was having fun! Definitely will come back sometime. But it is a great place for group activities.

Our group had a blast throwing axes. Our Axe Master John was very helpful and added excitement to our evening. We were able to have some great BBQ from Scooby Dooby Que and watch the UFC fights!

Had a fantastic time learning how to throw axes. Our guide, Miranda, was helpful and fun and the two hours went by so quickly! Going first thing on Sunday morning, it was completely empty and great to have the place to ourselves.

A great time with a very knowledgeable and attentive coach. The price was a bit high though and I didnt care for being forced into a tournament with strangers when I was trying to be on a more intimate date. We lost pretty quickly as the group we were forced to join all seemed to have experience with axe throwing. This resulted in us not being able to throw for very long, which kind of sucked since we paid more than $30 each for an hour.

Had a fantastic time throwing axes at Bury the Hatchet!!! Would recommend this place to anyone. Disclaimer, I did not have to pay for the experience as it was a work outing. But still, 10/10 Id do it again on my own dime.

I didnt really know what to expect going into this. It started off rather slow while we waited for couples we didnt know to arrive (late of course) and then went through the rules, how to throw, etc. Even the practice round was rather slow because some people required a dozen throws to try to figure it out and that takes a long time when there are ten people.With that said, once the tournament started it got competitive and fun and I enjoyed that last 45 minutes or so quite a bit.

Our host was great, he paused his lunch to help us out and he was very informative about how we should throw differently to hit a bullseye. Would go back and do it again!

Went to Bury the Hatchet as a date night as we were travelling through Kansas. Walked in with no reservation and they were able to get us in with very little wait. Staff was friendly and welcoming and the Ax Masters did a great job instructing patrons on techniques and giving helpful hints to ensure you were able to Bury the Hatchet. Had a great time here and would definitely got again.

I went to Bury The Hatchet for a work related outing and the experience was awesome! The staff was super helpful. They had one staff member show each of us how to throw the axe properly and also provided feedback when we werent doing so well. They let us have fun while being safe and made it a great experience. We had food and drinks brought in and had lots of room for a good number of us to eat, drink, and enjoy throwing axes. It was an excellent experience! I will definitely be going back. If you havent had a chance to throw an axe this is a great place to start!!

Bury the Hatchet, Tap Some Axes!We all had a great time trying to find the perfect stance to throw down some axes. Its not as easy as I thought it would be, but group that we were in just made it more enjoyable and our coach was awesome and entertaining. Definitely would recommend this place if you want to blow off some steam or just want to hang out with some group of friends to do something different. Its amazing when you can actually get the axe to stick to the board and everyone cheers for you no matter when you landed. So much good axe vibes.

I had a little problem in making and confirming a reservation; however, the management and leadership were very attentive to my concerns. If you have a problem making a reservation for a small group, please call them and see if they can work you in.

Went this last Friday October 4th with two other couples, had a blast playing there, our ax master Goose was fun and entertaining and the whole experience was beyond my expectations, I really recommend Bury the Hatched for a good time for sure

We had a wonderful time! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and included everyone in our large group. Having family in town for the Holidays, this was the PERFECT way to spend an evening. Our group ranged from 6 years old to 60, EVERYONE had a great time!The facility was clean and as were the bathrooms!!I would highly recommend checking Bury The Hatchet out!! Especially with family and friends in town for the Holidays! Be sure to call ahead for reservations!!

In town to see family & they took us here! Who knew throwing axes would be so much fun. Our Kick “ax” coach Jason was awesome. He was great with our kids ages 5-15. It’s also BYOB & bring your own food which was great. Definitely highly recommend Bury the Hatchet KC ️

My father in law took us so I cant attest to how much it costs or rate based on experience to cost ratio like some of the other reviews. With that being said, we had a blast! You can bring your own food in so we picked up dbronx across the street and chowed down while we competed against each other. Our axe master was fun and helped us improve our throws the entire time we were there. Even though I did the worst out of my group, I cant wait to go back and take the champion title from my husband.

Who would have thought?!? Throwing hatchets is a ton of fun, following the rules - its safe and the time flies unbelievable fast. Their team sets you up, guides the game and keeps things flowing. Highly recommend - the more people the better the contest... solid for corporate events too.

Eight of us went there and we had a great time. Our Ax Master Philip was fantastic. He was fun, funny and engaging as well as worked with each of us to do his best to make sure that we were able to throw an ax and it stick in the wall.The only negative is around the game. We did a double elimination tournament which meant some of the group played twice and then were done, so at least two guys sat for 30-40 minutes not getting to play. So basically, they paid $40 to throw an ax maybe 30-40 times. Sounds like a lot but not if you spread that over 2 hours. If I go back, I would not want to do a tournament style game but just play rounds for points to see who gets the most points. There might be other games and if so I would try and figure out which game lets everyone throw as much as possible.

We had an excellent time at Bury the Hatchet last night. Our axe master, Phillip, was wonderful. Easy to hear and understand, funny, encouraging. He was good teacher and kept everyone in our party safe. I like the byob and food policy. Fun atmosphere. I would definitely come back!

This place is so much fun! We went on a date night and had a blast. It’s BYO and they have quite a few refrigerators to put your beer in. The staff are amazing. We will definitely be back.

This place is an absolute blast! The axe masters are enthusiastic, helpful, and clearly want to have fun with you while you play a game and compete with your friends. Theyre always there to give you more advice or show you how to correct your form. They really make the experience just that: an experience! The facility is beautiful and much larger and more spacious than other axe throwing facilities Ive visited around the area. The BYOB policy is so cool and unique. I definitely recommend grabbing all of your friends and coming out for a night of lumberjack fun, but dont forget to tip your axe master!

SOOO MUCH FUN!! We had a group of 10 girls for a birthday party and had a total blast. Our axe master Aaron was super-fun, knew a lot and taught us all how to throw. Not only did he teach us how to throw but he also kept score for us the entire time! We were able to have some beers, throw axes and relax for two hours - cant beat this place for the cost!! Make sure to tip the axe master, they definitely work hard for it. My girls and I are for sure coming back again!

I had no idea how much fun this place would be until actually trying it for the first time! I was a beginner and had never thrown an axe before, but our guide Alex was amazing! He taught us axe safety, good form, and how to throw and gave us tips to help our technique too. He also kept score for us and ran our games very efficiently, all the while being a blast to be around. I will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Went with my family (5 of us) and got paired with another group of 4. We played an entire tournament after an hour of just practice and seeding followed by almost 30 minutes of free play.It did not take that long for each person to throw so there was always swapping and we had the lane next to us for practice (maybe because it was slow). Our axe master Xander was incredible. He watched each one of us the whole time and kept giving us hints in order to improve our game.Overall, it is well worth the money and we had a blast! After two hours we all were still wanting to play.

It was such unexpected fun! I never thought throwing a hatchet could be so much fun! The axe master leads you through various games like King of the Hill. It will definitely get your competitive juices flowing! Its BYOB but don’t mess with a cooler. They have big clear beer fridges for you right at your station. Great for dates, groups, team building, families, and really whoever! Don’t worry about a thing. Your axe master will teach you to be a pro in no time! Fun fun fun!!!

Our instructor was very fun and encouraging. The place was very clean and has a fun atmosphere. The only thing I will say is it can be very cost prohibitive if you arent going with a group of 4 or more. To rent a lane for a date would be very expensive, or you could share a lane with other random people (which I guess could be fun, but not if youre more introverted).

Would have rated it 5 stars if it werent for our vulgar, inappropriate instructor. I didnt mind the excessive cussing as much as the disgusting behavior. He made numerous sexual references when showing us how to hold and throw the axes. I was the only female in a group of five men (my family) and my infant son. Was not impressed with his level of maturity. He also left to service the concession stand about 4 times during our expensive session. However the atmosphere was fun and energetic. Would love to come back and have a instructor who is considerate and decent.

We love Bury the Hatchet! The staff is so fun and friendly. Great place for a fun indoor activity with friends or to watch sports while throwing axes. And one of the best parts is that you can bring your own beer and food! Definitely check this place out!

Bucket List Level Experience! The staff is incredible. I knew nothing about axe throwing during my first trip to Bury the Hatchet KC. It is surprisingly fun and much easier to learn than I thought. It doesnt matter what age you are or what your level of experience. I recommend to anyone looking to get in some post-work stress relief or a good weekend activity with friends

I believe Nicolas was our instructor. He was awesome with our group! We had a corporate party and separated from each other. Im pretty sure we had the most patient and instructive guide from the 5! Loved the place and will return for another again!

Went there for a work team building event. Decent place with good energy. A bit on the expensive side for what it is. In 2 hours our group (16 people, they broke us in to 2 halves) was so large that each person only got to throw about 25 times each.

Ive played at the other axe throwing place and this one was WAY more successful in creating a more fun atmosphere. Phillip was our Axe Master and man he made it such an excellent experience

This is such a great place! Even if you have never thrown an axe you should still try this out. We went with a group of eight and our Axe Master Phillip made our evening so fun. Great energy, great location and pretty nice you can BYOB. Well be going back soon.

Came to town for a visit with my teenager and was looking for something fun to do. This was a perfect venue, friendly and helpful staff. had a great time. Sunday is a great night for beginners too, it was quiet and we were able to relax and have fun.

I went in not knowing what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with how fun throwing the axes turned out to be. The staff was very friendly and would teach us as we played. They made sure everyone was having a good time.I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun time.

Fully recommend for anyone trying to step out their comfort zone and try something new. Also a satisfying stress reliever.

I would not recommend this place for anyone looking to go hatchet throwing. We calculated it out and it cost me and my two friends about $2 per hatchet throw, and we only got 20 hatchet throws. That also only took about 5 minutes, but yet we had to wait our turn over the course of two hours, which resulted in us wasting about 95% of our time there watching other people throw. Additionally our ax master had to go serve the concession stand twice which further wasted our time.Contrary to all this, the ax master was engaging and energetic, so too was the environment. However, I went there to throw a hatchet, not listen to drink people scream and bang on tables for two hours. And for that reason I will not be coming back nor recommending this place to anyone.

What a fun way to spend some time with friends and family. Very neat atmosphere, the staff and Axe Master were all very friendly and helpful. We wish there was one closer to us!!

It was FUN! Our host Tré was very encouraging and gave lots of help to make each in our group successful at actually hitting the target and scoring points. Its a BYOB (wine and beer, no liquor), BYO food and and have party kind of place. Great for large groups. Our host said I could bring my 13 y.o. and his friends too-- they would have a blast. The hosts also did an excellent job in creating and maintaining safety for everyone by being very clear on instructions and kindly reminding us how to maintain those safety techniques during playing. I gave a 4 star instead of 5 because it moved a little slower than I wanted, and there werent any comfy chairs to sit on, just bar stools-- our group was super large so we did a lot more standing than I liked.

They have trained axe masters on hand to help those that have not thrown or may be apprehensive about throwing sharp things, and dedicated lanes for individual groups.
