Ames Park located on the Halifax River is an historic dedication that we can all enjoy. So many quaint points of interest along the pathways. Plus a little launch ramp and two steps into the river for anyone with a kayak or SUP paddle board one might like to just sit and relax on the many benches or fish from the river side. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Its gazebo explains its history and dedication. VERY limited parking. One way entrance ONLY.

A very small park that has winding paths and water throughout. The park is very pretty and there is surprise statues of animals to delight the little ones.

Perfect place to put up a hammock under the palm trees. Also great for a picnic in the shade next to the water. I even saw a few people doing yoga !

Not a big park, I believe It was just a residence with a garden area. Its close, quiet and free. Limited parking / no facilities.
