Super fun! Workers are super nice and helpful. Definitely pay attention during the demonstration. Would totally recommend as a date night, group outing ect.

Great place for a fun time. Had a wonderful coach to show us the ropes and get us off on the right foot. We recently went out of town to another axe throwing establishment and am happy to say they didnt even compare to what we have with flying axe here in Omaha. After seeing the increase in axe throwing locations, I’ve been extremely interested in trying it. My husband had never even heard of it so I figured I’d book a reservation and spend an hour trying it out. Worth every penny. Our throwing coach was awesome and very knowledgeable about technique and increasing accuracy. It was harder than I thought it would be but a super fun experience. Awesome group date night outing! Rob was our coach and provided excellent tips to improve our skills as first-time axe throwers. One couple was late arriving, but they caught them up to speed and had them jump in with us without issue. We will definitely return.

We hosted our holiday party with Flying Timber + had an awesome time! Our throwing coach, Jacob, was fun, interactive + helpful during our entire party + really made the night so enjoyable. The other staff was friendly + the entire party was a success. They also gave us an area after we were done throwing to do our gift exchange which was super helpful. I would recommend any large group to book with Flying Timber!

I went with a group couple weeks ago and had a great experience there. They had a great setup and a very friendly and informative coach, Jacob, who helped us learn how to throw and improve our technique. The rules were set out well and by the end of our time there everyone in our group had learned how to do it pretty well--it definitely is not as easy as it looks!

I was here for Team outing with my colleagues on a weekday. We booked 4 lanes. Instructor was friendly and helped us out as we were kind of new to this activity. I did not know that they had different games in it. Exceeded our expectations, had so much fun. Will visit it again.

We werent sure if we would like axe throwing but we had a great experience! We are greeted by smiling staff at the counter, and our axe-throwing guide was friendly and helpful. Safety was clearly a priority too. Great time, and we hope to be back!

They do not accept cash payments if youre in a group. Which everyone is. We also had to get our own beers although we were told our coach would do so. Not very organized. The boards looked like they needed replaced. The concept is fun but it was so busy by the time I was on my third to last throw I finally got good enough advice from our supposed coach to land a good throw. The staff was friendly and the place was clean, overall.

This place was awesome! We went in a group for a bday party so we booked lanes ahead of time. Booking online is super easy and signing the waivers are too! We had an instructor give us the safety rules and teach us how to throw and then he hung around the area to give tips as we threw. They make it kind of like bowling and have you keep score in ten frames, which I thought was a lot of fun!We will definitely have to come back!

Had a great time! The staff was extremely helpful and its not at all as hard as it looks. A woman in the group next to us pinned a picture of her ex in the bullseye, was hilarious! Definitely coming again.

This was such a great time! A co-worker and I were in town for a conference and had dinner down the street from this place and got super excited about it. We came back the following night and were able to walk in but were placed with a really fun couple. We all had a blast throwing axes for an hour or so. Jacob was super cool and makes you feel comfortable (but not too comfortable) about throwing sharp objects. Brooklyn(n?) was really kind and great about answering our questions the first night.10/10 would recommend

Flying Timber is the best introduction to axe throwing I could have asked for! Their dedication to safety and encouraging coaching style enhances the wildly amazing fun of the sport. Ive brought my Mother in Law, my dad, and my husband with me so far and the activity is a hit every time.Tips for an awesome experience:1- Make a reservation in advance on their website. You can send the waiver link to all of your guests before you go.2- Dont worry if youve never done this before. A coach is there with your group every time for getting started and help in general.3- Tip your coach.

Really fun experience. Cost wise, after a few drinks and tip it ran about 35 per person for the hour long session. We only had 2 people and an hour was perfect to enjoy it without getting worn out. Eric was our axepert and he made it very easy and comfortable.

The fee is steep they rush you out and expect a tip. Seriously!!! I built the game so i dont deal with a pushy counter person saying you have 15 minutes pay now. I offered to prepay for one for two 15 minutes is 1/4 of the time. Hold credit cards dont be pushy might see a tip or at least a return from my group. We werent thrilled with the service!!!! Jake was cool the cashier was rude pushy and the reason i built the gameIf you work with the public act like the customer matters. In our case she offended a large group and a couple werent impressed by her either.

We had a big group, 18 people, and the process was so easy. Couple of emails back and forth between Matt and I, everyone signed their waivers online beforehand, and check-in was easy breezy. We had a great time and our instructor Eric was extremely helpful, patient, and encouraging! Some people got the hang of it right off the bat and others struggled a bit, but he took his time to show everyone different techniques that might work better for them. It was a really fun experience and all of us agreed that we would definitely do it again.

Courteous staff that does a great job of teaching the proper method to throw effectively. Other than that you have axes friends and fun do you need more?

Bathrooms are in a prime location, the drinks were good and the axe throwing demonstrations were awesome.

I took my team from work and we had a blast! Ive been to several axe throwing places and this one has the best targets and best kept boards. However, Im not a fan of having to buy beer from them, that made it much more expensive with bar-pricing. We were able to bring our own food though.

The venue is great and the instructor was really nice! The person at the front desk was very rude and extremely overwhelmed. We had to wait forever to get a drink. It seems like they need more people working at the front when it’s busy.

What a great idea they had! For me it was like bowling where you play a few rounds then your done.You stand in a lane and throw an axe at a giant board with a point system just like darts. The only downside is some of the boards were pretty well beat up and the axe wouldnt stick. Overall good experience and worth trying out

So I may be the odd person out here, but my friends and I just simply did not have the greatest time. In theory, axe throwing sounds really exciting... in practice, it’s pretty mundane and actually a little frustrating.I feel like I need to justify my two star review though so not to just sound grumpy. First, the atmosphere was quite different than we expected. It was essentially a warehouse feel with lanes made of netting, some tables outside the lanes, and that’s about it. There was no music (or it wasn’t audible), and at 8pm there were very few people on a Saturday night. Having a conversation felt odd because it was so quiet... with the exception of axes being banged against wood. There is no bar, but they serve beer in cans at quite a high price ($4-6 a can). Last, the axe throwing just wasn’t that fun. We had a nice instructor who showed us the ropes, and then we gave it a try. Some of us got it, some didn’t... but after a couple throws we were pretty bored. They have some games to play, which we tried, but when you only get the axe to stick once in a while they become boring. We ended up leaving after only 30 minutes of our hour reservation, which cost us $20 a person... very pricey for what we got.I would think a way to improve would be to change the atmosphere to be much more social and inviting. Also, having other things to do like darts, pool, shuffleboard, or other creative things would be nice after the axe throwing becomes redundant. Maybe some people love this, but just not for us I guess.——————————————————Post-owner response:This is the first time in the history of my google reviews that I have had to downgrade my rating after a response from an owner. In fact, I have actually changed many for the better after discussions with the ownership.Congratulations on actually leaving me temporarily speechless after reading that reply. It may help to actually READ my criticisms before grabbing the keyboard in an emotional fit. Like I said, WE did not find it fun or exciting. All four of us. Men and women. Good at throwing and bad at throwing. Moreover, we were all highly disappointed with the atmosphere even BEFORE even seeing an axe. My criticisms speak for the entire group when I say we were let down with the experience. Plain and simple.And just to let you know, our wives are some of the most hard working, strong willed, business savvy, and overall impressive women that my friend and I have ever met. You should know it was the women in our group that were the most vocal about our poor experience as anyone. Quote from my wife: “I don’t fill out google reviews, but if I did, it would have been much worse than yours.” To think that women of that caliber would be married to men so petty as to write a poor review because they did better at something than us is not only absurd, but offensive to these amazing women. So no, they have informed me they will not be joining a league. They would rather be spending their time doing more constructive things in the city with people that are a bit more progressive than the ownership of Flying Timber Axe Throwing.Future bit of advice. When receiving negative feedback, learn from it. A simple “Were sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience, and we hope you give us a second chance in the future” would have spoken volumes about your character as a business person. I wish you good luck with your new business, and as I said before, I hope you are successful with the people who enjoy it... it just was not us.
