This has always been a great venue. Very safe with their Covid precautions.

My wife, our son & I had a wonderful evening. It was our sons 1st time seeing A Christmas Carol. He really enjoyed it. Everyone on stage & behind the scenes did great. We just loved it. Great way 2 end a nice weekend. Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas.

They did a great job of social distancing. Grounded was an intense, well acted play.

We had an amazing time and the staff was over the top for my cousin anf her family. They delt with the emotions of the family and they even accommodated when her body was to tired but still wanted to rock out to Today and Yesterday. If you havent seen the Beatles Experience I highly reccomend seeing these amazing artists.

Went to see A Christmas Carol. It was a wonderful experience for our whole family. The cast was great and so was the band! The stage was beautifully decorated with great detail. They serve beverages & cookies during intermission and the cast lines up to greet you at the end. Jerry Longe is Scrooge and a fine one at that! Thank you for the great show!!!

They produce wonderful community theater year after year. The stages are wonderful. The community supports the theater with attendance, volunteering, and donations. I cannot think of a better community playhouse without sending you more than 6 hours away.

Weve been here for several productions over the last few years and this is a fantastic venue to see a show. Intimate seating in relation to the stage and a great sounding room combined with the depth of talent behind the stage as well as upon it gives an immersive experience that I greatly appreciate. Do not hesitate to see a show here, you will be rewarded!

I so enjoy going to the playhouse. The performers are so professional. I especially enjoy The Christmas Carol. It is a holiday tradition for my friend and me. I highly recommend the playhouse.

Attended A Christmas Carol. The Playhouse was tremendous as usual. The show was fantastic and it made for a great evening.

A true Omaha gem! Love seeing shows here! Amazing stage crafts, sound and lighting!

They have a very talented core group of performers, continuous new faces, and great techies (disclosure: I used to be a techie back in school).Tickets are a bit expensive for community theater (approx $40) but there are usually deals or coupons available if you look around.

The talent and scenery were great. Rotellas gave everyone a free loaf of bread. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful.

I come here every December for The Christmas Carol and for many other theatre plays. Between breaks in the play you can go to the main lobby to get a drink or some snacks. At the end of the play when you make your way through the lobby the actors and actresses will be lined down a row and every play I’ve been to they have been so friendly and warm. It’s nice to give them a handshake and how well they performed.

What can I say about one of the best community Playhouses in the country? Quality shows. Community acting that astounds me every time. SOOOO much more than just the annual showing of A Christmas Carol. Things to make you think In the black box. More family related shows on the mainstage. And you want a hint? Go often enough, just buy the season tickets! Best deal in town for 10 shows. Its totally worth it!

I really like it. It is really nice at the playhouse. I like how it looks. The people that work there are really nice. The She Rocks concert was really good. The dry ice irritated my eyes though.

Love the alternative program readers theater offerings! I prefer plays on the Hawkes stage to plays on the main stage, which cater more to middle-America. The Playhouse is a fabulous facility, and a vital community asset.

Saw the play Sweat in the little theater. Very powerful. The acting and production were terrific. The story was very emotional.

We saw She Kills Monsters and it was absolutely fantastic. The Howard Drew Theatre was very nice and intimate. The stage was amazing. The lighting and sound were perfect. The cast was extremely talented. I cant wait to get back to see another production!

Had a great time. I am so glad to have this in Omaha.

Nice venue, really enjoyed the show I attended. I believe this is one of the largest community playhouses in the country. I do wish there was more of a decline between rows, it would vastly improve the viewing experience.

Billy McGuigan was fantastic loved his show. He is a great entertainer, very friendly and funny. Would go again.

Wow! What a performance! The Stars The Supporting Cast and the ensembles were fabulous! The staging the props the music were all absolutely outstanding! Wow! Thank all the producers, directors, choreographer costumes, props, stage hands & all who and any role in presenting this outstanding production! WELL DONE!

A beautiful space with a large offering of plays every season. Free, adequate (mostly) parking. A bar with a few snacks is available in the lobby.

The play Bridges of Madison Cty. Was fantastic. The songs were moving and funny. The entire show was well staged and took the audience on a trip to Iowa.

Its a nice community theater.

Great talent and sight lines

A very comfortable, clean, and accessible venue, but I was not a fan of the performance that was done there.

We enjoy the live theater and we go every couple months. We take our girls (age 4 and 6) to the family shows! They have booster seats for them so they can see. During the intermission they have drinks and cookies available for purchase. We purchase the community playhouse membership every year to get cheaper tickets for all the shows! Definitely would recommend for all ages!

Bridges of Madison County. Was Amazing a must see Music was superb . Entire cast so very talented and gifted, a most enjoyable evening!

Roomy seating great view of stage on main floor. If you are shorter I do not recommend the balcony unless you are in the first row.

The Annie musical was awesome.

While not every play here appeals to me, which has no more bearing on the establishment than a crappy movie does on the movie theatre, I love going here! The staff is great and always helpful, and they seem to have a knack for getting top-notch talent (as was evidenced in Ripcord last night) on their stages. I fully intend to become a season ticket holder.

Fun night out! I had never been here. Last weekend we saw The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance in the smaller theater. We were basically on set! The actors did a fantastic job, every worker we came in contact with was incredibly friendly. We will definitely be attending more plays in the future here!

First class theatre! My wife and I always enjoy attending plays at the Omaha Community Playhouse. The tickets are also inexpensive as far as plays go. If youre looking for a fun way to spend your evening in Omaha, go to a play at the Playhouse!

Of Mice and MenFirst time coming out. Reccomend going in box office to buy tix. I was able to choose seats and date. Reccomend eating before for the snacks and drinks are nicely priced.Of Mice and Men acting and stagehands were outstanding and worked quickly! The Playhouse puts on high quality shows! Would definitely see a show again.

The Christmas carol was amazing

Always a great production can be seen. We just saw Beauty and the Beast here Saturday night. It was great! Costumes were fantastic. The singing by the actors was superb. We have attended numerous plays here, and we have never been dissatisfied.
