Visited The Rose for the first time for a backstage tour. Absolutely beautiful theater and the history lesson of the theater was very informative and well given. Our tour guide answered every question we threw at her and was entertaining. A great place that does a lot for the community!

We have taken our son when younger, and his family now to shows here and always loved it. The grandchildren adore the shows. They put on wonderful productions that everyone can enjoy. We have been members of the Rose Theater for many years now. What a beautiful older theater. The remodeling a few years ago has really brought back its glory.

I love this theater. It looks positively regal. Its laid back enough for kids but its fancy enough to be special. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Its most definitely worth the trip and most performances are reasonably priced.

Kid friendly shows. Booster seats to borrow for kids. Great introduction for kids to theatre!

I have been bringing my preschool classes here for the past 4 years as a part of the Drama Curriculum Infusion Project and it truly is a fantastic place. The actors are so engaging and really amazing with the kids.The Hitchcock Stage upstairs is a small and intimate setting that my students find magical no matter what play is being put on. I adore that audience interaction is encouraged, we all were part of the show and it is so much more meaningful and fun for preschool children!

Went to see Elf with the family. The seats are a little small for bigger guys like me but not so bad that its a deal breaker. The cast was amazing and while it wasnt the movie to a T like some seemed to expect it have great nods while being its own thing. The Rose is a great place to bring the whole family and get them involved in theater.

Nice family-friendly theater with quality productions! We saw Elf and enjoyed it! Prices would be a little high for a large family to enjoy a play, but less than the Orpheum for sure!

Lots of great plays in a beautiful old theater. I took lessons as a kid when it was on Center, and enjoyed it. A great time for the family.

Beautiful architecture, great design on the stage props! We went to see the production of Matilda the Musical. It was very nicely done, and the actors were all fantastic!! The theater is easy to move through. Not too big, not too small. Would love to come again soon!

Went to the Doll Makers Gift! It was fabulous! Maybe a little old for young children but VERY interesting and the acting by the main actors was incredible!!! Love the plays at the Rose, but in my opinion, this was one of the best! Many plays are done with wonderful acting, staging, and worth bringing your family to. Have absolutely nothing negative to say about this wonderful theater!

Took class on a field trip here and it was awesome. The staff are all friendly and the place is beautiful. The people there are all so kind and fun and great with the kids.

The production was colorful, and the actors did a great job with what they had to work with but the show dragged on, I think trying to extend Dragons Love Tacos to 45 minutes was too much of a stretch. The pacing of the scenes was not great, but my kids enjoyed it, and the experience of the theater. Thats the most important thing, really.

Great childrens theater. Wonderful place to introduce kids to theater. If they get excited and talk during performance or try to talk to characters, no one chastises them. Performances are generally very entertaining. They offer plays that appeal to different age groups.

I spent the day with third-graders who were given a field trip. It included a backstage tour, a Rose staff member who was dedicated to each classroom group, imagination, design, casting, rehearsal, and performing for the other groups! My old knees didnt enjoy all the trips up and down stairs, but thats the only drawback to the experience. This is an educational event, and doesnt include a performance of the current production. They do get to see the stage during their tour.

First time experiencing the Rose Theater and it was a blast took my family there to watch The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Parking is very convenient, the theater is easy to get into and the staff are efficient. The show was very well produced and my daughter (2) really enjoyed. We all left very happy.

The Rose theater is such an amazing place! If you are looking for entertainment, culture, history or just looking to escape the realities and grind of the outside world for a while then the Rose theater is the place for you!

Great for all ages the atmosphere created in the theater this excellent. The performances they offer are great for the community. A great place for children to enjoy themselves and learn about the theater. I recommend visiting this establishment at least once. I hold it in the highest regards. One of the greatest places Omaha has to offer. A perfect family experience that wont disappoint.

It was ok but really boring and nasty

Well preserved, clean and, nostalgic venue poised to impress your senses. Managed by an experienced staff that rose (no pun intended) through the theatrical educational and professional system. This theater teaches and entertains all in one location as well as traveling to several schools.

A great Performance as usual. We started out taking our children to the theater and now we take the grandchildren! We love The Rose.

We had so much fun seeing Judy Moody on a Sunday! Last performance for this show and it was really good. My 11 year old is asking about the next play!Great experience and I love that parking is free on Sundays downtown.

The Rose Theater For Family Entertainment gives children the opportunity to explore their creative side of life ! It also helps them to interact with other children outside of school and gives their parents a chance to see what their childs true talents are on stage . I was amazed how the new owners transformed the old Astro Theatre into this wonderful place for both families and guests here in Omaha, Nebraska . Yours Truly Mr.Cottrell .

You cant feel Omaha without feeling the magic of The Rose. Its charm is beyond and the service is always special. They care about what they do, and what they do is bring the arts to life for kids.

It was super fun watching my play. The Rose has so much to offer for future actors like there kids acting class. Also they put on a variety of plats such as Matilda and the one I watched, the Newsies.

So pretty but saw pooh and they changed all the characters and they werent at all like the historic characters we all know and love. Disappointed with performance but the theater is beautiful

Rose is a beautiful theater. Took two granddaughters to see Winnie the Pooh. 5 year olds review (she has gone to several plays): It was not very entertaining. 3 1/2 year olds review I liked it but it was too long.

Return to Niobrara was a well written play. Our boys (10 & 12) enjoyed it & it sparked great conversation afterwards. They are still singing the Native American tune that was sung (by our favorite actor in the show - a true Native American).

Love the Rose. Been to several performances and never disappointed. Now have my son in an acting class for pre-schoolers and hes loving it. So glad that this gem was restored and preserved for more generations to enjoy.

Great place for children and families to go, offering plays and musicals for preschool and up. I have gone several times.Some tips: I recommend calling the box office to reserve your tickets, though that process does leave you at the mercy of their hours (roughly standard business hours--still can be frustrating to keep calling to get to someone to get your tickets reserved). They do offer free booster seats and will let you know where to park (garage parking). Get there early as it is open seating (not reserved), so where you sit depends on how close to the front of the line you are.Still they put on great shows and we plan on going back in the future.

Thier coordinators dont know how to treat thier guests especially when they are children went for Peter kiewits field trip with boys and girls club...we were the first group to get called down and then got lectured for coming down and everyone got loaded while we had to wait tucked in a stairwell. Besides that the show was great!

Saw a perfomance of Matilda. The cast was great, the question and answer afterwards was exciting.

One our favorite family activities is to see the fantastic childrens shows performed here at the Rose Theater. Each season offers a well-rounded lineup of shows that cater to our youngest family members (1 year) and yet continue to entertain are big boys who are 6 now.

Watched Rebecca Rosen. She is always so amazing to watch. There is not a bad seat in the house.

I try to go to The Rose Theater at least one time a Year as a family event. I always enjoy watching the talented performers, theyre absolutely awesome!
