Judging from the peals of laughter, melodramatic outbursts and the smile on my childs face, I would say that Oly Family Theatres online programme is a win and worth every penny. Coin shortage notwithstanding.
This is such a gem. We come for the Lets Play shows (ages 0-5) and we love it every month. The actors are fully engaged, not just patronizing. They pick great stories and add their own little turns to it. Plenty of humor for adults too, yet never inappropriate. We look forward to Lets Play weekend each month.
My 6yo loves the summer, and spring acting camps. Very cute. We worry a little about dropping our daughter off with all the homeless down there, but this place is right across from the police station, which makes us feel at least a little better.
Fantastic, kid friendly venue. Love this place. Take your kids and let them experience the arts. My 4 year old daughter loves the plays here. Seating is comfortable, there is bench seating for kids right on the stage. They always have an arts/crafts project to do prior to the performance thats related to the show. I was hesitant to give a good review, would like to keep this a hidden gem.
The Lets Play series is so cute and perfect for my 3 year old. They hold the play in the foyer and you sit and the floor so get there a little early so you can get a seat in the front.
Super fun and the directors are super sweet. For all ages too!
Watched a great performance of wind in the willows.
This little theater company in downtown Oly has so much heart. Although my kids are adults, Ive loved their family-friendly programming and affordable ticket prices. Do give them your support!
Great theater. Intimate environment. Friendly staff. I’ve seen several shows here. It’s a nice way to spend an evening or afternoon.
The show Flora and Ulysses was a truly memorable play my mother played Dr.meecam she was perfect! :3 the actors were great especially Ulysses(he was the best)
What an amazing theater we have here in Olympia! It was so much fun to go with my Mom and to see the joy on all the kids faces in the audience. I highly recommend you see a show here, fun for all ages!
Great, family friendly shows! Catchy songs a kid-friendly humor! Loved it!
Wine the Pooh was delightful! Took my 3 & 5 year old grandchildren today. First time visiting this theatre. Will attend again! Good family fun and affordable. Thank you.
The children were wonderful as was the staff. What a great, fun, learning environment. I look forward to coming again soon.
Love working there on sets and ushering. Lovely people.
I love this theater and the whole community within it. They have fun plays for all ages.
Alan & I with the boys went to see Tiny Tims A Christmas Carol. 1st time weve been there. It was a nice little place, very good play!
Love this place! Always a good time. Fun for all ages.
They had a kids program acted out in the lobby. The entire performance was about 20 mins, which was just about the perfect time to maintain a preschool aged audiences attention. My kids enjoyed it and want to go back.
This is a fabulous community theatre that is very child-friendly, with an incredible team of humans that give it heart, and passion. :)
Awesome cheap entertainment
Fun summer program camp for kids. Our daughter went twice this summer and really had fun. Best part, she was learning new skills, improving her confidence, and discovering a tiny part of the world of theatre.
Over Valentines Day we decided to see a production at the Olympia Family Theater. I wasnt expecting much since its local actors/actresses. I was completely blown away! The play was The Monster Under the Bed and it was excellent. We laughed, had suspense, almost cried, and was a little sad when it ended, because we were having such a good time we just wanted more. I wish I would have known about this gem when we moved here, weve been missing some really awesome theater.
It was cute, but geared for really little kids, not really for families. Limited seating
Went to see CinderEdna. So well done! And even got to take my coffee into the theater... bonus
We love the humor and experience for the kids.
Wonderful Family theater. Kid friendly environment. Always entertaining shows.
Went here for one of the performances for little kids. The performance was fun and perfect for littles. Will be going back again.
This place is my second home. Plus great theater for the whole family!
Very strong anti-Christian undertones. If I could give zero stars, I would. It used to be a great theater with innocent, child friendly plays like If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Busy Town, Frog And Toad, Winnie the Pooh, etc....We haven’t been back since we’ve noticed this negative trend that they definitely favor. Today a friend took her family to see The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Her 10 year daughter started crying. It was very dark. They were disgusted and aren’t going back. It’s unfortunate that they won’t feature plays that let children stay innocent children.
So great for little ones!
I do a class here and its just a great environment to learn in!
Cool theatre. Almost no distance between audience and stage
Kid hated camp. Was oriented to little kids. Supposed to be for up to 13 year olds. My kid is crying incessantly and refuses to go back. They refuse to refund and allow someone from waitlist to take our place. Would not recommend for kids over 10 or those unsure. Poor attitude on returns
Fun atmosphere and amazing staff and performers.
Fun for all ages! Full of smiles, laughter, and happiness
This place is a treasure for kids of all ages
I love this place, and so do my kids!

Small but nice
Short, interactive shows for kids of all ages.
