During covid-19 Oklahoma Hall of Fame made it fun for kids to come and visit their location. Each person had to wear a mask, families could set together at tables and others would set across the room and another table, each time a person would leave they would clean the tables and hand out new crayons and wash the glue sticks. The outside area before you walk in had a few games for the kids to play, bubbles, listen to music, areas to take pictures, dancing piano and so much more.
Absolutely beautiful historic building with a wonderful collection representing Oklahomans who have contributed to the betterment of the world in a variety of capacities from sports, entertainment, civil rights, medicine, education & business.Every inductee has their portrait or picture somewhere throughout the museum with their name, City & general contribution plus the year inducted into the Oklahoma Hall Of Fame. I think an added touch would be a longer synopsis of what each person did in more detail but I’m the curious type of person that will look them up to find out more information There is an art gallery where the artist exhibits rotate periodically. The current exhibit “Spirit Of Color”, just started and runs to April 30th, 2020. Beautiful art that you can contact the museum about purchasing the items.Originally built in 1926 for the Mid-Continental Life Insurance Company. I love that every door handle still contains the Mid-Continental emblem. The building is absolutely gorgeous, grand staircases on every floor & marble everywhere! You can even rent the location for private events & weddings. Unique venue with lots of beautiful photo opportunities. This was my second time here. It’s a nice way to spend an hour or two browsing around.
The Little Dixie Chuck Wagon on display at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame FALL YALL event, Oct 17, 2020.
Would have been a 5 but the lady manning the desk was grinchy!
Great and relatively cheap. A little less exciting since its mostly portraits, but there are more interactive and engaging videos and a little play area for younger visitors.
It was great. they had Christmas activities for the kids. I enjoyed walking viewING all the great history about Oklahoma. I will visit again next year.
This place has come a long way. I still wish they had the End of the Trail statue in a bigger room so that we could stand afar and admire. Its my favorite. Thanks so much for going to the extended effort of getting this restored. Also, you added someone who is a poet from California, so THANK YOU for that. You think of everything. Blessings to you. Its such a gem!! Love you all and Ill be back soon.
It was very facinating and interesting to see the people who arose from Oklahoma.
A must first stop in OKC to learn its history and how it developed to modern times.
Cool place for organzization parties
I took my childcare center here for a field trip and we loved it sooo much. They had activities for the children and it was so educational. The museum had a lot of historical and informational 4hings and the interactive exhibits were so much fun!
Actually, this is the mother of the bride! We loved this venue and their staffs willingness to help put out a couple of last minute fires at our daughters wedding. Corie is gracious and did a wonderful job! Promptly returned phone calls and helped when we didnt have enough room to get everything home. Fantastic. Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere. I enjoyed myself. The children in my group didnt like all the walking and were upset because they couldnt touch anything
First time visiting. Very organized, friendly and had many varied and fun things for kids to do. Both 3 and 6 yr. olds enjoyed greatly. Am looking forward to trying summer activities.
We always have such a great time here as a family.
We looked here for a wedding venue some years ago and it was amazing then! Now, its still AMAZING, they hosted a baby event and they were miraculously clean and everything looked like it was fresh out of the box.
Great for kids lots of video information for them Ill be bringing my kid back
Went to a wedding reception there. Very nice and comfortable. Good views from the 4th floor.
Oklahoma is a great state. It produces great people. This Museum and Hall of Fame is dedicated to making sure that those who have contributed greatly to our state and to our nation and to the world are honored and remembered. People like Will Rogers, Speaker of the House Carl Albert, Wiley Post, and many many more. If you want to see Oklahoma history come alive, this is a great place to
Small and limited, but story time was great with the Dodgers!
My perspective comes from bringing young kids. It would be different if they were not with me. The museum tries to make the place kid friendly, but it can only go so far. Unfortunately, most younger kids under the age of 10 dont really understand the significance of such a place, and dont recognize most of the people featured. I understand the importance of educating people about the people feature in the Hall of Fame, but museum could do better than just show a bunch of videos of people. The photo booths are fun and were the childrens favorite part. Unfortunately, that was more fun than educational. My suggestion is to come prepared and teach the kids about some of the people they will encounter so they can at least recognize someone more than Russel Westbrook.
Oklahoma history. Interactive simulations. Historical video presentations. Lovely art and sculpture. Beautiful building and interior. Lovely Park like grounds. Areas to contemplate and meditate. Very nice gift shop. Great parking. Wonderful community. Friendly and very helpful staff. Worth seeing again.
We went almost every week during the summer. On Thursdays they had a free day with lots of activities for kids. Our children had a great time and loved it!!
I brought my to kids for a Fall Yall event and it was awesome! Very well organized and fun!
Children were the focus during there spring break. Verious themes were croud pleasers. As this free event, the little tikes were refresh with nutrious snacks. All the while adults alike got to dress up. This sparked up an intrest in career building. As well the museum like setting, the latest teck. was in display as one could upload theirselves to the web, using various props and staged setting to pic share on the world wide on them
I attended an event here and the coordinators were amazing. The space is beautiful and in a gorgeous part of OKC!
The Hall of fame is a nice museum however it needs to display more diverse fame.
Cool museum and gift shop. Plenty to look at and plenty to do!
Childrens story time loved it
Very nice some good people that work here
Beautiful building. I attended a wedding there and it was truly amazing. Only negative I found was there was this beautiful ornate mirror in the restroom on the 4th floor, the restroom was very clean, But here sat this incredible mirror and it was filthy dirty. I can only hope it was just an oversite as they knew there was too be a wedding reception on that floor. And no it wasnt finger prints from all the visitors of the busy days from that whole week. It was a plethora of dust all over it and smudged stuff. At any rate, overall a beautiful property.
Love their family events. Wonderful place to visit.
It was a fun experience, definitely more for your 7-10 age group.
Parking lot to teach my daughter to drive. Thanks!
A great venue for an awards banquet!
Great museum and great staff! The family and I always have a good time and learn something new about the people of Oklahoma.
Nice place ... Needs some soft classical music playing
It was the perfect place for a group event. I also know they hold weddings and wedding receptions here. I think its beautiful and classy.
Wonderful people who were very helpful. Full of history and arranged very beautifully, the museum was unforgettable. Interactive exhibits were a blast.
Pretty good place to drop in or visit on a field trip but not a lot to keep coming back for like the Science museum or something else.
Very interesting.
Great place for kids
Amazing place to learn some of the finer points of Oklahoma history.
Great for a wedding (which is what I went for)
Nice field trip for the children!
We spent a couple of hours. A large portion of the museum was videos that you watch, but it was a very interesting setup. Its definitely worth watching all of the videos.
This place is awesome, from tge Oklahoma Hall of Fame, to the Interactive displays! So much to see and do.

Lots of neat activities for my young children, as well as this grown up!
Nice place a lot of history
Stately carved stone building, the MidContinent Life Insurance property has come to life again, with dedicated use as a free standing museum, honoring creativity in Oklahoma. Dually prepared by the Gaylord and Pickens families, this building has its own collections which span electronic projections to live demonstrations to exhibits. It also has visiting exhibits, dedicated to varied related topics. So far, my favorite activity was the youth creative day, which allowed for performing artists, visual artists and those creating materials to come together for a day of kids celebrating kids. This includes an art show and sale, where the vendors are the youth from gradeschool to highschool ready to answer your questions and explain their work, techniques or use of product. This group also offers scholarships and other community activities year round. The spectrum of the celebrated runs from Wayne Coyne to Kate Barnard and about everything in between you can imagine. Also, the intact office for MidContinent a joy. :) along with behind the scenes info on renovations for this. This is a busy facility for weddings, and also for banquets and other social functions.
DJd a wedding at this venue. First class!
