This flora in this place has really proven the investment over time to make this place look like a prarie. The grasses have grown beautifully over the years.Attention to detail is great. Some and walkway even have horse shoe prints as if horses treaded and sped during the Centennial Land Run.Sculptures look clean and well maintained. This is a nice place to have a peaceful walk. There are many benches around the place.
Amazing art and depictions of the actual sequences that took place. If you take the boat tour the guide explains the sculptures and the history to each one, uncovering unknown info about Oklahoma to me. Definitely worth checking out. Not on a 90 degree plus day though Kermit cool
This place is very pretty. The monument is nice and its the largest amount of bronze cast statues. The park area is very pretty with a little stream flowing through. I would totally chill there and read, hang out, do homework, etc. Check it out yall!
Its a very well crafted and designed monument. The surrounding area is a nice place to find shade, have lunch, find quiet. My favorite, was the man on his way down with his horse, ciggy still in his mouth. And the look of the horses about to leap over the water. It all looks like a moment frozen in time.
Love this art treasure. Protect it from democrats that want to tear it down!
The Centennial Land Run Monument celebrates the opening of the Unassigned Land in Oklahoma Territory with the Land Run of 1889. At noon, when a cannon was fired, men in horses to families in covered wagons rushed to claim lands in Oklahoma. The sculpture really captures the event. The artist is Paul Moore. There are 45 figures. They claim that it is one of the world’s largest bronze sculptures. My photos are from the Bricktown Water Taxi (from the canal).
This is a really lovely area! There is a bit of construction and they appear to be redoing the walkways and landscaping, but it is still beautiful. The monument is astounding and you can tell that they continuously add to it. I was walking with a local and they told me that the artist made his own face into one of the men driving a wagon and that some famous Oklahomans are also featured. It has the Riverwalk run right through it and has all natural plants native to Oklahoma. There are many benches and nice shady, relaxing spots to take breaks. There is also a fantastic trail that leads all around and into Brick Town. It is really amazing and worth it for a trip out in the sun.
Cool park all the way around the monument. Pretty cool.
I think we picked the wrong day to come because we came to take a nice family walk with our dog and they were a bunch of protesters with m14s and m16s walking around it was quite bizarre we werent concerned about our safety or anything we were just wondering what was happening other than that the park is really nice and it is a great place to take the family on a walk just to enjoy the OKC scenery it has a connection to the bricktown Riverwalk which you can cross underneath a bridge also has connection to bricktown what are you doing canal so if you have time walk over from downtown and enjoy this wonderful place.
Very impressive monument. It’s a must see in the city.
Beautiful, lifelike bronze sculptures in a natural setting - very impressive. Makes you appreciate the extent of the human event of the Land Run. Would have been better if it was a peaceful, quiet and reflective atmosphere but it is unfortunately next to a noisy interstate highway.
Great park from walking, even a boat ride. Small canal with a guided boat tour. There are giant bronze statues of the pioneers coming to Oklahoma. Make time to visit this beautiful place.
Very nice. Visited at dusk and had the place to ourselves. Worth the visit for sure.
We took the boat tour. Most of the greenery was taken out and new things going in. So it looked like it was still under construction. They are huge!! Very very detailed. History of it is quite nice.
I absolutely love this monument; its beautiful for one, but its not only beautiful, its a telling of history. A history of what happened, the good and bad. Though it doesnt go into the schematics of the history behind it, its telling just through the detailed men, horses, and covered wagons. Along with the monument, the canal next to it is beautiful: theres ducks during the summer, small boat rides, and it just looks amazing. The mossy walls, bridges, pathways, everything about and around this monument is amazing.
Lots of pokéstops and good spot for Wizards Unite. Beautiful landscape too.
Beautiful made statues in a nicely maintained park with native plants, a canal, and walking trails that lead through brick town. Plaques and signs explain how the statues were made and about the history of the land run.
Beautiful. Looking for a jumping off point for some Pokemon Go? It doesnt get any better than this! Fantastic, clean, large, safe parking. LOADS of nearby pokestops. Easy access to many, many more place to discover and catch pokemon. And, you are almost guaranteed to run into fellow pokemon-ers every time u visit.
Very cool but some paths seem to end
The monument and walking area are amazing! This little park is very well done and you can also see it by canal boat on the tour, which I also highly recommend! I did it at night and then visited the next morning in the daylight.
It is a beautiful place in OKC to walk along the canal to take in the amazing sculpture
Love this park! I cruised around this park on a Bird scooter from the begining to the end. Loved every moment of it. A must to visit whenever youre in OKC!
Absolutely amazing!! Everyone should take the time to see this!
I love walking/ running here. The statues are awesome depicting the land run
A lot of history and a very beautiful landscape. Nice walking area!
One of the most incredible monuments I have ever seen! Absolutely worth to be seen, each person is perfectly made, I was deeply impressed!
This place is awesome! Enjoyed the monuments of all the horses, people and wagons.
Nice way to spend an afternoon in OKC. A little walk into history.
Great place to walk by the lake ️
Very cool place to take a walk and read some history!
Wonderful display of American history.
The sculptures here are AMAZING because of the detail and the drama captured of pioneers and soldiers crossing the river. Truly larger than life figures which really makes an impact. But, judge it for yourself by visiting if you happen to be passing through OKC. You wont be disappointed. There are additional figures of soldiers with a canon and a separate monument to honor the Choctaw Nation. The sculptures are definitely the centerpiece in this beautiful little park with pathways on either side of the canal, water taxis and greenways for everyone, including the birds: from robins to swifts to Canadian geese.
Very cool sculpture and great attention to details.
A little of our states history frozen in time.
One of my favorite places to visit. Grounds are kept clean, amazing sculptures.
Great place to walk around and visit. The statues are great
I’ve seen it many times. Very impressive and beautiful.
Its easy to park and walk right up to these very impressive sculptures. You can take the walking path over the canal or around the end of it to get to the statues on the other side of the water.
Great monument :)
Really neat monument with some interesting history information scattered throughout the walking path to provide context. I would recommend taking time to walk the river path and stop by the monument.
Really impressive! Scale is about 2x life size but super emotional and relatable. The story really is alive in this art installation!
This place is beautiful and neat!
What an awesomely extraordinarily Beautiful Family experience. U know U cant imagine how Large and Exceptional the Quality of these Bronze Statues are until you are in their Presence. What Beautiful craftsmanship and true to Life they are. WOW I mean WOW. Thanks Oklahoma city for the Maps project. Finally a GREAT place for BOTH Family and friends. Shalom SHABBAT
Interesting little park and the coolest statues!! Although I wish there had been more info on the history of the Oklahoma land rush than on how the actual memorial came to be.
Cool stop, still being built but what done cool.
When in OKC, nice walking trail after a meal
There are 45 larger-than-life bronze sculptures that capture the moment just after the starting gun fired signaling the opening of the Oklahoma Territory. Frozen in time are the images of frenzied citizens rushing to claim land as a wagon dropped its load, a rider on horseback stumbles, dogs race to catch up, hats fly, rabbits scurry to get out of the way, carriages race to catch up, horses balk at the a water crossing, etc... This beautiful sculpture wonderfully catches the motion and chaos that ensued that day. Its a great place to chat with a friend and wonder about the back stories of those who participated that day. We spent and hour here and I could have used about 20 minutes longer. Its really worth seeing.
The Land Run sculpture park is phenomenal. We have been watching the pieces go in, the story unfold in bronze, for 20 years. It brings a part of that history to life. We love bringing guests to this park to share the story. It is a very easy park to walk through.
Great art work.
Great art work and fine details. It is very life like.
The statues are just beautiful. There are quite a few of them. Brings back the old west.
Oklahoma City Land Rush Monument is beautiful. You can see it from the Water Taxi from Bricktown and get a little information on the artist. We also drove dowwn by Bass Proshop and under the bridge to see the Statues. But to walk up and see the statues in person is awesome. The bronze statues are created 1 1/2 times the size of a normal person. The details that are added are insane to see #oklahomacity #brickhtown#gopro
Beautiful park and very interesting to learn about the history of Oklahoma
Awesome sculpture display, very cool idea
Very nice gardenIm sure the real thing would have been noisy, dirty and chaotic
This place is awesome, every year it gets better. New sculptures, and better landscaping. I keep coming back year after year.
I love coming to this spot with my kids. They love playing around the huge sculptures and get caught up in the story.Every piece contributes to the whole dramatic moment. Discovering the lone Sooner was a thrill that made looking at the entire installation feel like we were in on the secret.
Life like portrayal of the land run. Beautiful work by the artist.
My grandparents on my fathers side were children in the back of wagons . i will defend this monument
This wasnt what we expected. It is a series of 47 statues depicting the OK Land Grab. 2 more will be added soon. Its a lovely walk in a park setting. The statues are beautiful black bronze. Look closely...one has the face of Will Rogers. It takes about 10 minutes to get the full gist of the monuments. It is located on the far side of the Bass Pro Shops parking lot. A very small sign at the parking lot is your only indication that its there.
Impressive statue-art of the Oklahoma Land-Race. I overheard there are 40 individual figures and they are intending to add to the collection.
Great place to walk around. Its well-lit and well-maintained. It also links to the river trail, which could take you all the way to Lake Hefner if youre not careful.
This is a really neat monument. You are able to walk around these larger than life representations of what it must have been like all those years ago. The area has a very nicely planted walking path and weaves through the Bricktown Canal.
Such a nice area with lots of things to explore & eat. The boat ride is my favorite & just learning about OK as a state is interesting. Ive done the boat ride 4 times with visiting family & loved it every time.
It was a nice walk along the river front with lots to see and do
A must see and do when you’re in the area or passing through.
Under construction while we visited, but was a great monument. Great detail. Good historical facts around the area. Nice walking path around the river walk
Nice little park
The statues are awesome, but there should be more story to them. Either the dedication or the literal story of those depicted.. maybe I just missed the plaque, but in that case it should be easier spotted.
Stunning!!! So life like. The attention to detail including hoof prints where they cross the water. Truly amazing.
Awesome place to go, walk around and see amazing history. And the craftsmanship of the artist, was amazing.
You will be amazed at the length of this monument
What a wonderful series of monuments so finally detailed. I can hardly wait to see the final two sculptures that are to be added during the next couple of years. It brings our country’s history to life in a manner that could only be described by the workmanship exhibited here. Wonderful!
Great photo opportunities.
Love this place for a family walk too many people dont pay attention to this sign though
Absolutely incredible! No detail left out. The expressions on the faces of the people as well as the horses depicts the frenzied emotion of the moment. The sheer size of each piece is truly awe inspiring! Beautiful area too! Plenty of great places to eat & drink along the river walk.
So much information and a real lifelike scene captured in motion. The sculptures tell a story only a life experience could tell. I cant wait to see it finished.
Still a work in progress but very very nice. Paths to walk on, scenic, supposed to be about 10 miles in my length when completed.
An utterly beautiful site. Definitely one of the best in Oklahoma. The depiction of our states history in the arrangement and detail of these massive beautiful Bronze Statues makes me feel so much closer to those that came before me. It is also really nice for walking around and getting in some good exercise. If you happen to be a Pokemon go player it is littered with pokestops period a great place to lower up throw on an incense and catch em all
This is a large-scale sculpture that does a good job of illustrating the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889.
Love this park. New sidewalk look like they will be a great addition after construction is complete. Also a great park for pokestops.
It will be even better when they finish the upgrades. Really enjoyed the time we spent there.
I dont want to say too much about this to spoil it but this Monumental sculpture has got to be seen up close. And the gardens that surround them were well in bloom when we went. Well worth the trip.
Absolutely amazing and emotion filled monument that is unmissable when passing through Oklahoma City! Open 24 hours with no charge and the only caveat is that parking nearby can be difficult but not impossible. There is an electric Prairie Schooner tourist boat that gives guided tours of the canal that includes the sculptures but the best views are obtained by walking amongst them. Highly recommended to all ages.
This is a breathtaking park located by Bass Pro Shops in Bricktown. They have a grand sculpture of the land run that is amazing. The park is also a hot spot for Pokémon Go as it is a nesting spot for Dratini.
Very pretty, maybe more ilumination for people at night would be better
Doing some work on it, but still a pretty cool monument, very detailed. Pretty area to see.
Very interesting monument worth the stop.
These anarchic, larger than life sculptures, are worth going out of your way to see. They feel like theyre in motion with all the promise of the Land Rush and some of the tragedy. Theyre great and Id take anyone who visits OK City to see them.
Very nicely done very educational 8 and 14 year old thought it was cool to be able to see live image of the past
Awesome bronze...lots of action...impressed with how many different figures are included.
Great place to walk and see brass monuments
Nice place to walk and eat
