We went for a work team building experience. It was amazing the staff was super friendly and helpful. The directions and instructions were excellent. I inquired about rates for a later day to bring my entire family. They provided the information as well as answering all the questions I had. Im definitely going to be coming back with my family for some axe throwing fun and games.

First I was gunna give 4 stars only because the facility didnt have any beer. Just sum wine left but at the end of the night me & my crew had an absolutely freaking AWESOME TIME! Didnt know exactly howd it go but man that was a great time & my guys really digged the hell outta it! We will be goin more now guaranteed!

Its really not in me to give a 1 star, though I probably should. We were planning this for my birthday, Id had my heart set on it for a few weeks. Went online to book and found it was $15/hr. more a person to book it than to just walk in. The website really had no info as to what the difference was between booking and walking in. We decided to just walk in, plus we only had 5 people confirmed to go and you need 6+ to book it.So, we get there and what do we find but a dark building and locked doors although their website and Google both all said they were open. Now, you can only call an 800 number, and I tried to message them online about the ordeal. (Now thank god I didnt book online.) Now the only thing Ive received back is the automated well respond within 48hours. That was 5 days ago although 1 was a holiday so I give them a pass there.I highly believe in a communication on issues but since Ive tried numerous ways to no avail, I only forewarn that you may get there and its dark so have a backup planned.

We did this as a family of 4 and had a great time. Would also be great for a small team building event. We will definitely be back.

Had a pretty good experience and had fun. I will likely go again. I can’t rate this a 5 Star for a few reasons. The people here need to work on their on-boarding experience.When we walked in, someone yelled out a greeting which was great. There was a bunch of people throwing. There is no front desk or obvious place to walk up to. So as a first time person, it’s awkward because it’s not obvious what you should do. We then stood around for probably 5 minutes observing and trying to figure out who we should talk to. It became apparent that one of the people throwing was also an employee, so we waited around until we had a chance to get her attention. We said we wanted to do a walk in. She told us they typically don’t do walk-ins until later but she’d talk to another person and figure out what we could do. One, she didn’t explain how they typically do walk-ins and second, this is not clear on the website. The term walk-in insinuates that you can just walk-in, anytime. This is terrible user experience.Then we waited around for another few minutes until a guy came up and told us we could throw now and talked us through the process of signing our waiver. Then we got set up to throw. The guy doing the set up talk did a pretty good job but it could have been better. After that, started throwing and had a good time.Our experience would have gone from good to great if getting started wasn’t so confusing and awkward. Potential paying customers should not be left standing around trying to figure out what to do and how to give you money. This is business 101.Tip: Because of the building location and parking situation. It’s best to park around back.

Fun way to step outside your usual idea of fun. Perfect for a group. A few beers available and boxed wine. Simple which is totally fine! Food not available but I believe you can bring food or have it delivered of needed.

My first time for axe throwing, I was part of a group from work. We all had a great time. The staff gave a good safety briefing and gave us throwing pointers during our time there. You can bring food (we ordered take out from Joeys Pizzeria) to eat while youre not throwing. They sell beer and soft drinks. Definitely made the experience even better. I recommend the venue.

We had fun and there is a cool chair there that is really good for photos. A little pricey compared to some other places. But overall not bad.

If you want to have the most fun time of your life, then you NEED to check out Bad Axe Throwing in OKC! The staff were very friendly. A 1 hour session costs $25 per person if you are a walk in (which I was). However, if you have a larger group you can book an event. The axe throwing itself is extremely fun, the lanes are large which is nice. You dont feel claustrophobic when youre about to throw an axe. The only just like I have is that the axes didnt seem to be very sharp, so they wouldnt always stick when they were supposed to. Besides that, I would highly suggest coming to this axe throwing spot because it is very fun. I will definitely be back!!!

Went with a friend during walk-in hours and had a fun time. Had some cold beers and threw axes all while listening to good music. The staff was great, I plan on being a regular.

I had a blast with six of my friends for my birthday party. We were able to bring a cake, sodas, and water. Birthday girls and boys get to throw for free. I highly recommend this place for an outing and the more the merrier. **note** Open toed shoes are not allowed to be worn if throwing axes. Must wear closed toes shoes. I found this out on site. Perhaps it was written somewhere but I didnt read it. We dressed up for Halloween and I wanted to change out of my super high platform heels into flip flops. Thankfully, a friend swapped shoes with me because shes much tougher than I am!Sticking an axe is more about technique than strength/size so even petite people have as good of a chance at doing it as a larger person.

A group of us went for a birthday party. We had a lot of fun. We brought in our own pizza and cake and was able to purchase beers.

We had a group of 8 go from 9p-11p on a Friday evening to the one in OKC. It was so much fun!!! It’s not near as hard as one would think. The staff was great, very helpful, and fun supervising the different games. Will definitely go back!! Would love to have a location in our town of Shawnee, OK. One of the best times I’ve had in a long time.

We made plans at Bad Axe for my brother-in-law’s bachelor night and had a blast. I’m very glad they’ve been able to weather the storm of endless, terrible road construction close by. It was a lot of fun and the hostess did a great job instructing us all and keeping score during our games (we were a group of 8 and two teams of 4 worked perfectly). I absolutely recommend it for any fun group outing - experience playing outdoor soccer is a bonus, especially if you were good with throw-ins.

Fun night with friends but seriously over priced when booking/reserving . Alot to be desired here, bathroom lighting was out, beverage choice very poor, and it just seemed like no one put thought into the setting. Maybe they will improve.

Was greeted as we walked into the facility, didnt realize that they only took card, but just a minor mistake on our part. There was already a party that had a coach participating with the group. Our wonderful coach gave us a few tips on how to land a few good hits into the board as well as fix some of the loose axe heads that we were throwing.Both my girlfriend and me both enjoyed the experience and will definitely be going back to fling some more steel.

Had a great time learning my newest sport. Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks. Fortunate to be a part of a birthday celebration that included the OKC location just west of downtown. I need to bring my dinner group, my investment club, my happy hour friends, my golf group, etc...……...

Loved it! Our Coach was Ryan and he was excellent. He took time to show us different ways to throw the Axe based on skill level or disability. I highly recommend scheduling a group session - having a coach walk us through several different games made the experience terrific for our group of 8 ranging from 13 to 45. We all had a great time!

We went for my husband’s birthday and we had a blast! It was a group of 6 of us. We got right in at our scheduled appt. time and our coach Rachel was fantastic!! Her axe skills were amazing and she definitely made it look easy. However, it’s not easy at all, don’t even expect to get your axe to stick because, most of the time ours didn’t! The birthday boy won the medal and overall we had a great time!! The best part was the staff and service, she really made us have fun and was very engaged the entire time we were there!

I wasnt really sure what to expect, but I got the hang of it super quick. The guy working was really nice and informative. I loved it, I definitely will be back!

A great place to visit to change things up if youre looking for fun! The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Safety is stressed and enforced. They teach you how to throw the axes and teach games. They let you bring your own food and beers. They also have a small selection of beer to sell. I highly recommend booking your time online, though they do allow walk-ins.

We had such a great time at Bad Ax Throwing this past Friday night. My friends and I had never been before and we couldn’t of been more satisfied with our decision. This place was a lot of fun. We went for a birthday party and luckily the 9 of us had the place to ourselves. Seth was the staff on that night and he was great: personable, informative, fun, but still professional when he needed to be. I’d recommend coming here, once you get the hang of it throwing axes is kind of addicting and therapeutic. My only criticism is they need a lit up sign out front so you can find it from the street at night. Other than that it was worth the money and time, I’ll definitely be back!

Bad axe throwing is a great few hours of entertainment for a group of friends. Who knew that throwing an axe is such an art? You can purchase beer while there, but bring your own food (we ordered pizza). Once the entire party gets the hang of throwing you can start playing games which is the best part. I would recommend for any groups who are looking for something fun and interactive.

Excellent place for a guys (or girls) night out. We had a group of 6 first-timers and enjoyed learning technique and a variety of games to compete with each other. Just as an FYI - bring your cell phone (to digitally sign the waiver) and bring your credit/debit card to pay (no cash). Neither of these were an issue for us, but worth noting. I cant wait to come back and enjoy Bad Axe Throwing again.

Was an amazing experience. My sister dad, and I went on Sunday Jun 2. I wish I could remember the name of the awesome employee at Bad Axe. She was so helpful with showing me how to throw and offering tips on how to throw better. Will definitely go back when I visit my family again.

This was an AMAZING experience. We walked right in and we’re able to get the next slot to throw. I know that doesn’t always happen, but it was pretty great. The people there were extremely nice and helpful. They want you to have a great time and make sure of it!

I had been wanting to do this for a long time so for my 40th birthday my fiance booked a party. There were 7 of us. Our Coach was Seth and he was amazing! He made the whole experience what it was. It was a little out of the box for some of the people in our group but everyone had a great time and really enjoyed it. Many of us cant wait to go back! Ive already started looking into buying my own Axe. Seth was so knowledgeable and gave us expert advise, not only about throwing but about the axes too. This was just the start of what I hope to be a long love affair!

Friendly staff, fun experience. For groups above 10-12, suggest getting two lanes, as waiting times to have everyone throw can be a bit long. Drinks are offered there. Beer or Wine. You can bring in food. The staff is very safety oriented and make sure no one does anything that might get them hurt.

This place is awesome! It was everything Id hoped it would be. We went as walk-ins and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They taught us axe throwing techniques, let us try 5 different axes, and showed us some games. Because it was Tuesday, they also had beers for $2.50. I would definitely go back!

This was a blast and I’m so glad we gave it a try! My friend and I were a walk-in appointment and because it wasn’t too busy yet we had a lane to ourselves.Our coach showed us the basics and went over the safety rules, and then let us go for it! I was a little nervous at first, because hello - throwing an axe here, but it quickly became a lot of fun!The employees here have a intuitive balance between watching out for safety without you feeling like you’re being over analyzed.By the end of the hour my friend was hitting at 50% accuracy which we were thrilled with :)I was not so great ha, but another employee stepped in and gave me some tips that helped me improve (namely I needed to stop flicking my wrist forward and also release lower!) practice helps but even when you aren’t hitting the target you’re still throwing an axe so it’s a blast all around.Wish that they were closer to where I lived, might have to make the drive just to show it off to more friends :) 10/10

Am I strong? No. Do I have stellar hand-eye coordination? No. Do I ever want to try new things? Also no. BUT! I LOVED THIS PLACE! The host, Katie, was excellent. She showed us so many games to play and even a few trick shots. I felt comfortable and had a great time. I will definitely be coming back and would suggest this to anyone who is looking to do something new in the city.
