I love the location. Not sure why staff is not welcoming as in the past.

A beautiful resort, close to the ocean. I will warn you, though, that its not for everyone. There are no elevators, with at least 1 flight of stairs to your condo. No air conditioning at all. Also, the train is loud and runs frequently. If you are okay with these, youll love Aquamarine Villas!

Great economical place to stay! You are close to the pier, restaurants and a little market for your needs. The bonus is we had a garage and a view of the ocean if you stay in a 2 bedroom villa. Oh and the pool is also heated! We’d stay here again especially what you get for the price!

Had a great relaxing time. The staff was great, and the hotel feels very safe and secure along with garage parking. I got some of the best sleep of my life, being on the second floor in room nine, with help from the sounds of the crashing waves just a short distance away. Food and fun in the sun is all within walking distance. Oh and if you happen to be there on a Thursday I highly, highly recommend the night time Farmers Market.

Great value & VERY well maintained. We rented Unit 5, which is at the south corner end of the complex. Nice privacy with a lovely balcony. This unit has a partial ocean view & is only a block from the beach. We enjoyed a sunset stroll at low tide all the way to the pier.Extremely bare bones kitchen. A lid to fit the frying pan and a set of tongs would have been great. We love making breakfast together when we travel... kinda why we dont do hotels. Thank goodness for the coffee maker!This property is across the street from both convenience an liquor stores, making it easy to buy supplies. Its also a block from the MetroLink/Amtrak rail lines. They are required by law to sound their horns as they do. I didnt mind, but future travelers should know this tidbit.Would I stay here again? Yes! Great off-season getaway at a reasonable price with easy access to all Oceanside has to offer.

Block away from the beach. All stairs to unit with limited view of the ocean. Our unit was with dated furniture. Covered garage is a plus and the staff where friendly.

No air conditioning because we are not owners just rci members 3years ago we stayed here was great now sad not because of covd we wont be back to this place

Location is near perfect. Just 1 block to the beach. They have 1 and 2 bedroom units, fully stocked except for you and your food. The only downside is there is not enough heat for the cooler weather. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Cleaning services are daily for the light stuff.

Love the short walk to the beach. Staff is great and polite, the grounds are kept beautifully. We enjoyed our week stay, will definitely come back next year.

These are timeshare condos. I was not aware of that at time of booking. The condo was super clean! No dust dirt anywhere inside! Very impressive! Koudos to the housekeeping crew! We arrived after hours so nobody was there for check in.. I was given codes and keys and instructions and a map.. The hot tub was drained and needed repair. The grounds are smaller and tighter than photos lead you to believe but are still lovely. The front desk lady wasnt very friendly nor informative. She offered no information as to places to eat since there is no restaurant on premises. All she said about breakfast was oh i already put it away, sorry... Overall it was A nice place, close to beach, and a great price!

This is the 2nd year we have stayed a week at Aquamarine Villas and everything is so nice from the staff to the condo itself to the location. We are looking forward to our stay next year.

I love this place so close to the beach, this place has all the amenities you need . This is truly a great place for a family. There is a train that Crosses every now and then but not a problem. My family will l come back again.

Great location! Could see the water from the room! Loved the place it was super clean. Parking was excellent. Didn’t get to get in the pool because of time and rain but that area was beautiful!

Easy to find/access. Upgraded their WiFi. One block from beach. Staff is very helpful. Common pool area is great for lounging and BBQ if your not into the beach. Two car private garage for double room suites. Larger shared garage for single room sweets. Full kitchen with most dishes and silverware stocked. Been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Wonderful location and walking distance to the pier. front desk gave a small booklet of all the information and recommendations you need. Everything you can ask for! Only negative they don’t have air conditioning.

Ive been staying here with my family, every year since 1994...on my last visit I was a little surprised by the downhill turn in the appearance of the landscaping and the guest amenities...the staff was also a little rude which is the 1st time Ive encountered that. I guess after 25 years one bad experience is a pretty good record overall. In the last 25 yearsvery little has changed except the condition of the landscaping, its time to freshen the place up a little.

Not recommended because the facility is no air-condition, it’s hot and humid the beach is not air con at all, window and door open overnight to have air or breeze, but the train keep waking us up because the train sounds. Amenities email don’t mention about the no A/C at all,we pay this exchange $ through RCI XCHANGE, not very happy and it’s disappointing vacation weeks we experienced and instead to stay 8/30-9/6, wer checking out this Monday, our money it’s not worth it to stay longer, I want some of my money back to this location.. Put in your amenities that there’s no A/C @all and only one electric fan, ceiling fan, sweating after showers, no surprises please let the guests knows what’s your amenities including period, we want our vacation to be stressed relief not stressful

Such a cool little timeshare resort! Easy beach access, small market next door for little necessities, nice pool and hot tub, comfortable beds and accommodations, and just about everything we needed for the perfect vacation. The staff was super nice and humored all of my questions and even loaned us some beach equipment. I hope we can make it back next summer!

Very clean, nice amenities, close to beach. Parked car in garage and never had to drive. Walked to all restaurants and train depot for a trip to San Diego.

Views of the ocean from the balcony and 1 mile walk to Rubys Diner at the end of the pier. Great location!

Rooms are great, the beach is only a block away. All rooms are set up so that you can see/hear the ocean from your balcony. Great place to stay.

Beautiful resort for your next yoga retreat

One of the worst stays Ive ever had anywhere. Listed on Expedia as a hotel, but its a dirty, run down time share. Everything from arrival to being billed correctly was a complete fiasco. I would highly recommend avoiding this place.

Heres the thing about this hotel that has me rate it as I did - on the last night there after feeling worse each day I noticed there were little plastic clip on things in all the pillows. I do not know what they were, but some photos are below. My concern is that they were insecticide/anti bedbug or other devices. Also, upon arrival requested two extra blankets since there is no heat in the hotel and it was cold and the young man brought them in a bunch looking like theyd been pulled off the bed next door.

Beautiful small timeshare. Two bedroom is two story with king size bedroom and bath upstairs and you can see the ocean. Downstairs has full kitchen and twin beds bedroom. The staff is very friendly. Rate it a 5 star. The only drawback is the train whistle at the corner.

The location is only a block away from the beach and I love it! The interior design is a bit dated but everything was clean and the employees were friendly. The view from the balcony is beautiful and they offer a free breakfast (not hot).

We just returned from our stay. We loved the villas. The one bedroom villa was the perfect size for myself and two 8 year olds. Our patio had a lovely view of the ocean. The beach was a block away and there were plenty of places nearby to eat and shop. The heated pool was clean and convenient.Steve in the office was extremely helpful and friendly.We plan to return very soon and are considering ownership.

This is not a hotel, it is a run down timeshare. Front desk clerk often not there during business hours, garage door opener opened wrong garage, no signage to navigate the maze of run down units. Its right up against a VERY busy train rail that runs all night. This in the running for the worst stay Ive ever had anywhere, and I suspect some of these other reviews are fake.

We have stayed here two or three times. The staff is long term, friendly, and helpful. It is only 1.5 blocks from the ocean and some rooms offer ocean views. It is a small community and is good for families. The units are frequently updated and spacious. I would recommend to both family and friends.

We stayed here at the end of May. The rooms were clean, the location is great, and the staff were exceptionally helpful (especially the maintenance guys). There wasnt anything negative about our stay. We will stay here again in the future for sure.

Stayed here 5 nights and 4 days, not one time were our linens changed or fresh towels given even after we called the front desk.

Loved the well appointed room. I believe it was room 1.. Looked to be completely renovated recently. Very clean. Nice deck. Corner room facing street but Ocean view from deck. about 1 block to walk to beach and a nice approx 1 mile to pier. The landscape was beautiful. Small resort but we loved it. Parking garage locked and covered.

My first timeshare, bought in 1983, before it was opened, it has risen to the highest Gold Crown rating. Great residential location less than 2 blocks from the ocean. Has the feel of an apartment complex with very friendly staff. Close enough to the Oceanside Pier for a pleasant walk along the beach. Sunsets galore, sound of breaking waves at night. Even has the romantic sound of trains in the distance. Love my visits there!

Overall, the stay was very comfortable and made me wish we had booked a longer stay. Obviously equipped for an extended stay, the room was complete with fridge, stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. Im pretty sure my own kitchen isnt as stocked :P. We had a (sidelong) view of the beach and walking there took just a few minutes. For my morning run, Pacific was accessible for beach views the entire way north to the harbor and partial beach views south to Carlsbad. Dozens of shopping and dining options were less than a mile away with two markets literally across the street. Parking was inside a small shared garage with plenty of space. We are planning another stay here soon.

This is my place when I am in the area. The location is great and convenient to Camp Pendleton. The hotel is well maintained. The breakfast is very good. The pool and fitness room is better than most. The front desk staff is the best. They really make me feel at home.

Stayed here for valentines 2018 weekend, and it was perfect, the whole place is beautiful, quite, and the rooms are big with full amenities in the kitchen. We went in the middle of winter and the weather was 74° during the day. (Note, no ac in rooms, just ceiling fans) This small hotel is in the middle of anything and everything from small bars and restaurants to decent fine dinning. Love this place and seems we always have the same room. we been coming here since 2013 twice a year, best time share we own.The staff is friendly and helpful.The only only down side is the train horn, day and night.

The staff was friendly and location was the best! Only 2 blocks from the ocean and about 8 blocks to the Pier (it was a beautiful view the whole walk so it couldve been more but 8 seems about right) Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view (rooms with view are limited and comfortable feel. It was a home away from home. My son said the pull out couch bed was comfy. We went to Walmart the 1st day and bought waters, Gatorade and food to make breakfast. The kitchen had everything I needed to make breakfast. The location also had a pool and a hot tub which we didnt use only because the weather wasnt that hot.

Clean rooms, a little pricey but for good reason. Pool area with a hot tub, grills, nice patio.

This place used to be amazing but over time the amenities have gone down and the service is not as thorough. The management is also less attentive and they no longer have a manager on premesis in case of afterhour emergencies or lockout and want to charge you to call them. I have been going here for 20 years, its disappointing to see these kind of negative changes.

It was fabulous. We loved it and we loved Dana she was great I will continue to try and stay there as well see if we can buy one......thanks for the great vacation.... and just for the records we did not hear the trains once and we were there 2 nights....thanks again Annamerie

We were exceptionally pleased with the ameanities at this hotel. It is really a time-share place which rents out vacant rooms. As such, there is a stove, fridge, micro, TV connected to cable, VHS / DVD players, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, dishwasher, etc. In short, everything to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. There was a pull out couch which was rather lumpy and uncomfortable but the hotel was in the process of replacing all of them. The king size bed in the bedroom was very comfy. The bathroom was a little tight but everything was clean. The shower was full of hot water and nice. The decore is pleasing to the eye and there is a nice pool and hot tub as well. The staff put out beach towels on the lounges surrounding the pool daily. There are 2 gas grills by the pool for having a cookout. Parking is below the hotel and in secure garages. Security is very good, not that you feel unsafe in the neighborhood. Some people need to know that their place is secure and it is. It is a 1 - 2 block walk to the beach but the fishing pier is a bit far. Oceanside has these lots where you can park for $3 for the whole day so you can drive to the pier or the main beach, hauling your stuff in the car rather than on foot if you wish. The only negative thing and it is slightly negative is that it is close to the railroad grade crossing for the Coaster trains so you are hearing the train horn somewhat frequently. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The area of the Villas is really nice. Beach is just a minute walk away. The rooms were nice clean and comfortable. The people who work there are really nice and have no problem communication with people.

Really nice resort withbig room, pool and jacuzzi. Excellent service, only problem is it is next to a train station which can be pretty loud sometimes

Weve stayed at the Aquamarine Villas before, and this year is just as comfortable, and the staff just as friendly.

They dont care about you. People upstairs made loud noise every night. Wouldnt let me change rooms. Wouldnt talk to them. I had to go every night upstairs to talk to say be quiet and of course it didnt work. I would never stay there again.

My parents and I have been visiting the Aquamarine Villas yearly since 1989. I have grown up here as our family vacation spot, and have been able to bring my daughter here as well. Weve had many fond memories here. But, this review is highlighting this weeks visit.Pros:- The grounds keepers are excellent. They take pride in their work and are extremely helpful.- Our best interaction with the front desk was with, Im sorry I forgot her name, the attendant with the long red hair. She went out of her way to make a special moment for my daughter by turning on a special movie for her in the lobby, giving her a cookie, and popping her some popcorn while we did laundry.- Location to the beach, local eateries, and shopping.Cons:- There are many loud trains, but thats just a location issue. Not much you can do about it.- We had difficulty working with the brunette front desk attendant. When we arrived they had us in the handicapped room, which didnt work for our needs. When asking if there was another room we could have, she told us there were none, but the other attendant easily found us a better suited room.- We were consistently short toilet paper and towels each day. We tried to make it work the best we could, but when asking in the lobby for the items, the brunette attendant was very bothered to help us and wed still end up short the next day.- Finally, our last day, the housekeeping staff never brought us new towels or took or trash. This also happened with a unit a couple doors down. I carried the dirty linens and trash down to the lobby and caught the brunette attendant just as she was leaving. She informed me that everything was locked and she couldnt help and to call maintenance or the manager. The first maintenance number we called that was in the information they give you when you check in was a gentleman who was retired. After that we called the manager who told us they couldnt help because the office was closed. We called the office and left a message expressing our frustration and got a call from someone. She was very rude and accused us of never putting out our linens. (Weve been visiting here for 28 years, so we know that we always put out our towels and trash by 10.) She told us someone would get us, and our neighbors, towels if we wait in the lobby. By this time we were all frustrated and our last night of vacation was soured.Im not really sure what is happening with the care of this place. There are a couple gems who work here and make it feel like a vacation, but a negative worker can quickly turn it into a nightmare. I truly hope that the management of the Villas make it up to my parents somehow. They are faithful owners of their timeshare and take good care of their room and are respectful of others when they are here. I do hope that others do not have the same experience weve had this week.

I have been coming here for 30 yrs,nice beaches,and lots of resterants.

Views oceanside are of buildings and powerlines which is the least of the bad review. The train runs by overnight all night with the horn but there isnt any air and the rooms are super hot. The pull out couch is thin and springy.

It has fun events everyday that are free and everyone can take part in. Theres also a pool and the beach is only a block away, GREAT place for kids

It was a difficult week there the train and intersection is practically in your back yard and they like to blow their horn, came home very sleep deprived .They seem to go by every couple of hours. They dont seem to go by pool hours,again sleeping problems there. A lot of stairs inside and out not good for handicap. No safes to put valuables in and they come into your unit everyday wheather your there or not its mandatory!

Had 2 bedroom, 2 bath place. Has garage, fireplace, 1 block from beach, ocean view, comfortable beds.

We stayed in the 1bedroom for one night then 2 bedroom for 4 nights.The front desk staff we very helpful and friendly. I cant find nothing negative to say about the resort.5 stars!!!!
