Well, to be honest, Im waiting on my bucket-of-a-car to get her clutch replaced, and, there arent too many places these days to just kick it around West Oakland without knowing too many folks...

Raimondi Park could use a little TLC, but it served in a pinch as an adequate place to fly our drones....

Clean portable toilets and functioning drinking water fountains. Decently maintained dual purpose football(American and International) and baseball field with excellent lighting and working electronic scoreboards. City of Oakland recently cracked down on the fleet of RVs that had occupied the entire perimeter of the park, though there is a big camp in the field across Wood Street next to the old train station

I didnt like the sight of so many homeless people in their cars and RVs. Nobody in America should live that way.

Since they put in the artificial turf this place has come a long way. Kind of smells bad since its near the sewer certain times of the day and The Grass Is Always filled with goose poop. Sometimes it could be big homeless encampments around the outskirts project basically a pretty good place to play soccer.

Ma

Smoke and its good and they got water to drink wash or whatever, porter potties and a place to meditate and run your dogs. Its great to tear up the little mud field with a stolen truck too

To many homeless and needles around the football field. No police presence! The Homeless were looking in cars and trying to open car doors! Not a great place to go watch your 10 year old play pop warner football!

Its made major improvements and I mean it used to be the absolute worst grass field Ive ever played on, it was actually dangerous. That was years ago and they have since put in what was a really nice, brand new turf field. Most of the field is flat and nice at this point still but if you look closer there are gigantic ripples in the field. I have no idea how they got there but now its dangerous once again. Oakland actually has to fix this again and Im sure they wont any time soon. For now, pickup games are cool to play but honestly competition sports will be actually dangerous for peoples ankles so watch out.

Park is well kept, despite not being overly used. There is a homeless community built up on one side of the park, but they are generally decent people, and Ive not had any difficulty with them. Great place to fly a kite (or a drone), if theres no one using the main field. Easy freeway access via West Grand ave.

Fair warning, no seats on the toilets! I warned you. Clean park, limited parking that seems to be taken up by residents from the surrounding apartments.

Some really good soccer leagues for kids and grown ups that have their seasons here. The road has some wear and tear in addition the parking in the are can get challenging during the soccer season but the fields are in good condition

Review №22

The surrounding area is really rough with homeless encampments around the entire park but the fields themselves are very good.Ive come here in the mornings to practice some soccer and havent had any bad experiences.Theres an artificial turf section and a real grass one right next to it. A small playground for kids and some bathrooms. Its a great spot to come for some quick training or random matches

This Park is a nice little Park tucked in West Oakland. It sort of comes out of nowhere.Theres a baseball field along with a soccer field. And a small playground for kids. Its good and chill and it feels safe too.Oh and theres a small putting green, because you know how important it is to be great at putting in Oakland.

This are is changing fast. Im starting to not care for a lot of the new out of towners. They are slowly strangling the Soul and flavor of Oakland. It has rich history despite what a lot may think. I miss my home town. This park never used to have homeless people here. But now since Oakland has become a new fad... it has caused this rise in homelessness. Along with the new wealth comes greed and displacement of the Real Oakland residents.... who really appreciated this beautiful and once affordable city for what it was....

The park is always clean. Its a Place you can go and take the kids and feel safe. It offers several activities in season like soccer and football. It has a baseball field and even a Horse shoe toss for those who enjoy that type of thing. Every Sunday theres Soccer games and Local vendors selling delicious Spanish and Salvadorian dishes at reasonable prices.

Nice little set of 2 football fields in the edge of Oakland that my wifes Ultimate Frisbee winter league plays at. For the most part they are well kept, the lights are bright, the fields are kept clean. They have bathroom facilities, but I havent used them.Parking is all street parking, not very convenient, but after hours (after 8pm) not that hard to get a spot. The roads around are full of huge potholes, so watch out!

Ma
Review №30

This park is a small piece of land that rich soccer families take their kids to on weekends for spring soccer. The surrounding area is full of homeless, drug addicts and criminals. The streets are never repaired and full of huge holes. Not potholes, large gaping holes. Its horrible here. Stay away if you can.

Review №38

Raimondi has a turf field that is used for state qualifying games because the condition of the field is optimal. However in the past few years the homeless in their motor homes have taken over the whole street between the park and West Grand. Nothing against the homeless is just is putting poverty right in the field of soccer, contrasting.

Weekends there are always soccor games or practice going on.. Now also baseball. There are usually food stands on Sunday with inexpensive homemade Hispanic items. They could use some pic nic tables between the soccor and baseball fields.. There is also a small putting range.. There are homeless encampnents in the area buy overall quiet and clean.. Need more large trees and some tables for those of us eating there. I frequent it often on Sunday for Pouspous.
