Great memories playing basketball here when I was younger before I moved out. One of the best basketball courts in Oakland. At the moment, baskets are temporarily removed due to this years pandemic.
This was a whole walk. You get a map and you do the walk and see the murals. Its a nice way to look around a neighborhood. There are a lot of murals and its really fun to spot them. We started the walk in the middle of the map and didnt even do the whole thing - it was still great. You can get the map at the visitors center in Jack London square and then you can take a shuttle (free) and walk around instead of dealing with your car. You can either take the shuttle back or walk back to your car.
I volunteered at an even held at Lincoln swuare park. It was so nice how they had different set ups and games for the community kids. The best part was the guy i completely forgot his name. But he would fix bikes and raffle them off to the kids, that really touched my heart. The dedication they have to the community cant be expressed by words. I would love to come back and serve as a volunteer especially since they are from a different culture really makes me appreciate it.
Nice place to do pull ups and push ups
Great park. They have Ti Chi in this park early Saturday mornings around 7a or 8a
Nice little community center. They have ping pong tables set up in the gym on certain days and at certain times. Bring your own paddles and ping pong balls to play.
I appreciate the pirates of the Caribbean scenery at this park, but absolutely love playing on Attles Court practicing my jumpshot.
Its pretty ghetto. Not a place for my crowd. We tend to avoid taking our children to the hood.
It overally has a kind of a bit run-down feel of an urban park, no grassy area and few trees. It is doubled as school playground for the adjacent elementary school. The oriental theme is not artistically done and all the concrete makes it cheap. There is a big recreation building serves the community well that open freely to the public, instead for many other similar centers just being locked most of the time.
Best place to play basketball ever. So many courts and friendly competitive people around.
Great place to bring the kids and have fun
Right in Chinatown, this park is pretty fun. It has a big ship to climb on. It has a small little kids side as well. Its surrounded by lots of little shops with goodies you might not be able to find elsewhere. A lot of the kids at the park spoke in a Chinese language of course, but most also spoke English if that matters to you.
An epicenter for communal gatherings and sports. An intersection of cultures. A crucial piece of Oaklands mosaic beauty.
Homely community activity space, people are welcoming of diverse groups in general
Nice little playbset for toddlers
One of my favorite playsets in the city
Its a good place to have fun on the playground and basketball court
Great place to see kids of all ages play.
To rest over.
Fun with the great nieces and nephews
Very fun and good for kids.
Yes! A good playground for kids however is in mid condition as it has missing swings and not very Clean.
I grew up loving this park so my opinion is very biased. Recently it doesnt seem great, the slides are closed for no reason aswell.
One full sized basketball court, two smaller courts, a small play structure, a swing set, a large pirate ship play structure makes for this park to be quite a busy place. Theres usually friendly people on the courts, willing to let anyone join in a pickup game. Theres a regular crowd of ballers who show up every now and then who are a tad more competitive and plenty friendly.
An excellent place to play some basketball. This place is popular for that. Youll find people playing even late night. Theres plenty of courts for everyone. Once you get done playing, you could go down the street and get some boba.
Great outdoor play area!
Awesome for basketball and kids . Crowded
Lost a ball no way to get it back.....
Basketball!!!!! Get some good runs in here
Great place for kids but sometimes its dirty with trash strewn. Its frequented by many people at all times of the day.
Great Kevin Durant Foundation basketball courts!Very active community park, basketball, fan dancing, tae kwon do, childrens playground, with nice mural art!
A lovely park with many people and families all enjoying themselves.
Great Chinatown playgrounds for kids of all ages.
Fun boat playground for kids. Some of the slides are broken though and it doesnt seem like theyre fixing it. The place is so dirty and poorly maintained with trash everywhere and the garbage cans overflowing. It could have potential to be a nice place if maybe they cleaned it up a little. Maybe some community service?
Went here to play a pick up game of fotbol
Good basketball courts, there are walls here to practice tennis also
Good place for kids
Pretty chill environment to hoop. loved it
Poorly kept up park (3 of 5 slides broken and closed off), garbage left out from people sleeping there at night, and generally unsafe/dirty structure. It could be adorable, but no one cares to keep it nice.
Great for kids play
I go take my dog for a walk.
A decent park. Two play structures. Basketball and four square. Right by china town.
Cool park, basket ball hoops open to public, well kept play structure for kids.
I was here since I was 4 and my last day going there was May 25 2017 and now I have to abandon it, So goodbye my Lincoln Park, Soon I will meet you again...
The only thing is that when you are in school they wont let you run around in the park
Im from new york and i visited this park with a female friend i met while visiting oakland...at night its alittle creepy but the people is quiet friendly...i like it
Should go for kids. My kid like there.
It was cool lots of nice people
Park for the local kids. They play basketball and other ball sports.
Getting better and better
Ay so my boy deshawn got capped by some punk Nortenos while he was swinging i mean what the
Would be 4 stars for the basketball hooping except the two smaller courts DESPERATELY need new paint for the key areas. The current paint (done by the Golden State Warriors Foundation?) is dangerously slippery, not safe for basketball at all. Also a small turf futsal/soccer field, tennis wall, small play structure and Chinese boat play structure (junk) and the hidden gem of a rec center with a small gym that is often used for volleyball.
Beautiful
Love it
Rec center closes at 6p but the outside lights stay on til 10p.
Likey
Great park!
It has basketball hoops a grass area a boat park which you dont see ever but its pretty dirty
No middle or highschoolers allowed on the structure before 6:00 pm. Overall it is a pretty dirty park.
They fixed the slides:)
Basketball courts donated by the MBA Warriors (Kevin Durant)
