The sunset goes perfectly in a rainbow reflection at 6:30-7:00 pm

It has always been kind of neglected and now attracts homeless folks living on edges. The grass area that folks used for soccer is not being irrigated so at least the ducks stay away but it is now basically dry dirt.In years to come this area will become part of the park maintained by the massive Brooklyn Basin project but for now youll just have to wait. Come to fish from the pier, watch some sailboats, fly a kite but thats about it.

Dirty but parking is free. Great place to launch a kayak.

Cleaned the parck up with my parents, better now, still not great though

It used to be a great place for a game of soccer and a picnic but has become over run with trash, shady characters and homeless. I used to park in the aquatic park parking lot but it has been closed due to covid n Im not sure if or when it might come back online at this point, but I hope so. Anyways this spot is still a great free place to park and see the inlet of the bay and fish. I would however not stray far from your vehicle for obvious reasons.

Fresh air and nice breeze, flat walking trails, lots of parking and space too

Its a small park but the view of the water is great, especially if you like the rowing teams.Theres a field where I see a lot of ppl w their dogs off leash playing ball or training them. Not much parking and a lot of broken glass in the parking lot. Trash cans are usually overfilled and spilling over the area. There is also a small homeless encampment there too. They are usually quiet and their area is generally cleaner than the rest of the park.

Large open space for humans and animals alike. Not crowded at all but that may be because its not easy to find. Great view of the water, SF, sailboats.etc. its peacefulness. There is a covered picnic area also. Three are a few local transients who occupy a little part of the park but nothing to be insecure about. The grass is not green..its dead

Nice place for a walk

Its a cute place to rent for a shindig. Quaint view, construction around it doesnt allow for much by way of curb appeal. Still if you need a unique place for a function, thats a great starting place to look.

Beautiful... just wish others including the homeless would keep it clean. The San Francisco Bay Area New Century Lions and LEOs did their Earth Day clean up here. We picked up hypodermic needles in addition to garbage that could have gone into the environment.

Its a little run down, the grass has been unwatered and uncut by anyone othet than geese, and there is a homeless encampment, but its picturesque, people fish, geese do their thing when not attacking cars in gaggles, and there are spots for bbqs, boat launching, a venue for events, a large pile of concrete that local musicians play on and taggers use as canvas when the musicians are not around. its oakland, and is very much visually, and aesthetically representative of all things oakland.

This is my favorite place for a redwoods hike. There are so many trails to choose from, and they are all dog-friendly!

Its a nice place but sometimes youll catch some of the homeless staring at you as if you just walked into their tent or reached into the shopping cart and took everything from it... Its good to launch off kayaks and to take a casual stroll around but the grounds arent well kept by the city so you might feel a little bit miserable being there but the estuarys view makes up for it.

Attended a baby shower and the venue was really nice with an awesome view of the Oakland Estuary.

Long stretch of green space along the estuary, extending to Jack London Square. There are even off leash areas for your dog, and grills available should you desire BBQ.

Nice place great for partys, has a bit of a smell.

I only sailed by it. But I like the neighborhood, Ill be back asap and as often as possible. Right next to Fifth Avenue Marina; on Fifth Avenue which Im looking forward to visiting again.

A hidden little gem. Actually, not that little! Always surprised that there arent more people there. Lots of space and beautiful views.

I have been coming here my whole life. I love it. Ok fishing and my dog loves to take a dip over here. The only thing is the new homeless people dont appreciate this place. They leave it dirty. And I have seen way too many hypodermic needles laying around. I now dont even want to bring my kids there.

Interesting.Aside from the lake sized puddle that made maneuvering the parking lot extremely difficult it was a nice park along the water.

Nice and quiet however theres a lot of trash there that seems to linger after a while; other than that it is a great place to go to get away for a moment.

Great place and this field can be a kickass field!Parking may be limited, but parking next door in the City Boat area is close enough.At this point April 10, 2014, the field is at substandard level for soccer practice not possible for games. also it maybe no appropriate for younger kids because of the holes and uneven areas.There are no lines marking the soccer field.One of the goals has been vandalized.There are no cornet flagsThere are no additional nets to protect parked cards and BQ eating area.This field is under jurisdiction of the city and rented by Jack London Soccer League.

Limited parking Sat mornings for to college crew teams practicing. Generally pretty dirty, lots of trash on the ground, trash cans overflowing, extremely dirty out houses
