I absolutely love East Oakland Sports Center!! The people. The programming. The knowledge. The cleanliness. The facility. The equipment. The recovery. The attentiveness. The friendliness. The best. So lucky to have this wonderful gym in walking distance. Thankful.

I had membership here and had an AWESOME TIME there gym and aquatics classes and water aerobics was awesome they also offer dance classes it is just a great place all around I brought the kids there and they had tons of fun and is a great place to learn to swim too I cant wait till they reopen

This was a nice gym now it’s basically a closed building.All the other gyms in alameda county posts updates of Covid-19 and when the gyms will reopen except for this gym. I’ve been going here for 3 years and it is not fair that paying members do not receive any update at all.

They have a strong sense of community and pride. The coaches take their jobs very seriously.

I joined just to use the gym, so I cant offer much insight on the pool or any classes. Also, this is the first gym Ive used in a while, so I have little to compare it to. What I can say is that its got all the basic machines I need. Its not fancy, but Ive been going in the late morning and I appreciate that its not very busy. Ive seen people of pretty much all ages and shapes, which I feel makes it a pretty judgement-free environment. The mens locker room is functional and usually not dirty. Honestly, I feel like there may come a day when I want more from a gym, but for now this place is good enough.

Great Pool- when is open!

Just started water aerobics had fum

I came here for lap swimming, and gave it a couple of tries. I really wanted to make it work, but the water so murky and gross. I couldnt see ahead of me while swimming. On one of my laps a long strand of hair got caught in my hand, and i had to stop to get it off of me. I am generally not a picky person, but with something like a public pool, you really need to take care of it and give it good maintenance or you re going to make people ill. I rather pay the extra 25 bucks at the Y. I just think its a shame that something that is meant to be a resource for East Oakland folks is kept so poorly. We deserve better than this.

The pool has been closed for over two months! Unforgivable! Shame on City of Oakland Parks and Rec!

Theres a gym, a pool, and personal trainers, what more can you want? Gym environment is very friendly and pressure free. Equipment is in good shape, and the front desk is always available to answer questions or concerns. Since they are a city entity, the prices for memberships are also very reasonable. They also have a 7 day free trial which you can check out their facility.

Nice park out back. i had no isea this place looked like this! hidden gem they even have an indoor pool.

They are rude on the phone, telling you the pool is closed. Never see any notice about this.

Amazing, not over crowded in pool for laps, great customer service, no locks to rent but vary clean and friendly.

A great indoor pool...not too crowded while we were there.

$30 a month on a year contract, $55 a month without a contract, as of 4/2019 for an adult.

Its really good because the kids get to have so much fun and the parents watch their kids with a good spot to have a eye on them and the life guard in a pool which makes it really safe for kids short!
