Amazing walking path, safe at sunset, fisherman still there fishing.

Its alright, parking is limited, street is busy. We go to see what lizards we can catch. They have curly tails, Iguanas, Basilisks, water Dragons and water snakes, there is also a sign that says alligators, but weve never seen one. Here is a picture of some ducks and an Iguana missing an arm.

A park is a nice place for children during the day, and in the evening its a great place for walking dogs, biking, or just generally strolling. Theres a lot of inaccurate information posted regarding this park. The opening hours only pertain to the childrens play area parking on the south side . The rest of the park is open 24 hours. A walking path round trip is 2.3 miles. There are pull off for car parking along the North side. The South side also has car parking near the childrens area But it is subject to the hours posted for the childrens area. There are 2 observation decks were you can look out on to the lake. Contrary to another review the tank is not to be played on. There are signs posted saying to keep off the tank. Security cameras line the south side of the park. It is a scenic walk and is particularly pretty at night. Ive taken some photos of how it might look in the evening for you.

So pretty at times. Sunset especially. Kust wish folks wouldnt leave their trash on the ground.

Very solemn and quiet here at any time of day. I appreciate the nostalgia of the actual Tank memorialized there. Very nice for a quick pit stop on a date night or before you hit the museum.

I know that its a small park and utilize for residents in walking distance, but just maybe a few more parking spaces.

Its a small little area for kids to play. Its next to a lake so there is wildlife around. The playground is gated so no stranger can just walk up to the park without you seeing them.

This would be a nice park if residents nearby did not use up the ten parking spaces for events not even at the park. Parking should be for people using the park, not wedding party overflow parking.

Nice small park with a children’s play area and walking trail. There is also a very cool army tank near by for the kids to play on. Auto parking lot is small.

Veterans Park is a very quaint park. Theres a play area for kids thats been updated over the years. The parking is VERY limited near the childrens play area, but there are a few other parking spots available along the parks trail. If you enjoy a leisurely stroll through a park, this is a perfect park for you!

There is no water activity permitted here. Great looking lake and scenery but the threat of being a meal to a hungry gator is a strong deterrent to swimmers and skiing enthusiasts.
