Great place for camping we come here all the time. Tons of fishing and crawfish

I have ridden my bicycle around the country for the past 3 years. 14000 MI this by far has got to be the most well-managed Park Ive ever been in. It is very busy extremely busy and they still manage to smile. My hats off to everyone that has made this park the most beautiful camping experience Ive ever had thank you

Beautiful old growth trees shade the entire Park. Spacious clean camp sites, all with fire pits. Clean public restrooms with hot shower rooms available. Fantastic beach area on Cranberry Lake or beach comb the ocean shores. A wonderful place for family and friends to make lasting memories.

There are plenty of short trails to hike on. Good camp sites and, of course, the pass itself. Everyone is generally happy and friendly. There are signs to keep you on the paths and it is very difficult to get lost. One path takes you through a tunnel under Highway 20, and then theres even more land to cover.Deception Pass has very little space for parking, especially on long weekends. If you have a parking pass (Discover Pass) then youre ahead of the game. I recommend going here during the work week later in the day.

Amazing year round state park. Have been able to get a campsite every time no issues. Lovely set of trails starting right there at the campsite.

There is simply no other place in the world like the Ssn Juans viewed from Deception Pass State Park.

Average looking park, but excellent beach and water. Campgrounds were clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean and when someone stopped up a toilet it was fixed quickly. Didnt hear but two jets over fhree days!

Just got back today after staying for 6 days. We camped in sites 326 & 327, which must be reserved together. We had 14 people at the most and 10 on average, this site is perfect for a larger group of campers but smaller than the group minimum. We went hiking one day, trail head is located in the park which was awesome. We went to Fort Casey and its lighthouse, which is a must see/do if you are visiting Whidbey Island. The caretakers were very kind, helpful and scarce, in a good way. There is a sports complex with a concrete pad and a grassy field we played football on. The pond is across the road from the field, which is also adjacent to a convenience store which is very highly priced, even for the island, but if you forget to pack syrup like I did, will gladly pay $5 for 12oz.We had the best time here and will recommend to our fellow camper friends.

Rosario beach, its Gods Country out there. Just gorgeous.

Campsite 306 in Quarry Pond Loop is nice enough but suffers from being close to the main road and far from the very nice restrooms. But where else will you see five eagles circling around lazily overhead? We set up in a sprinkle of rain but its gorgeous now and its easy to charge your electric car here if you bring your EVSE.

Great office. Loved that they had rv turnaround. Right off the highway which is also nice.

We have spent 6 days camped out in our RV it has rained almost every day. Have had the best sleep every. Do not want to leave but have to go home and sell our house so we can come back.

We come here once a year.

When we arrived a few minutes past 9:00 AM Sunday, the parking lot was emptied. it had filled up by the time we bought a Discovery Pass. We had an easy hike down to North Beach and back, discovering a lower parking lot. We had a really pleasant morning enjoying the beach. there were a lot of people but it was not crowded.If we had done our homework, we could have doubled or tripled our exploration of the park. Its really big including a fresh water lake. Great place to picnic.If you like a thrill you can safely walk across the narrow pedestrian walkways across the bridge. How many hundred feet up in the air is it? Too high for us! We were scared to go out, though Im sure it is perfectly safe.Deception Pass State Park is a treasure.

This is a nice and comfortable campground. Typically it is very busy but designed such that your site feels private. The crowds become obvious when headed to the beach and on trails. Nice place to explore but not where you will want to go to feel isolated.

5 Star place for over 60 years

Had a great day fishing . Caught 1 10 incher.,off the dock. Im too old to climb the hill to the bathroom and back to the car.Besides that, great day.

Wow.... This place is beautiful. There are so many incredibly stunning views. Words cant describe it. You just gotta visit and check it out for yourself.

Deception Pass is a great and beautiful state park. This time of year (summer) its full most weekends. The best spots are in Quarry Pond now that they have cell reception (T-Mobile) and the forest loop. Sites are pretty private. Make sure to watch out for raccoons stealing your food! There are lots of critters running around. Be aware for deer when you drive as well. One thing about quarry pond. They re did their bathroom which is ok. They need bigger shower curtains or doors and someone to clean more often. They are not very private

Love LOVE THIS PLACE!! There are soooooo many adventures to be had here. There is camping, hiking, climbing, sunset watching and more!!. The bathrooms are clean and never crowded. There is Sooooo much to do and the views are AMAZING. There are sooo many things to see: rabbits, birds, eagles, otters, seals, Whales, and sooo many birds. Fun for the whole family.

We were able to get two days in the quarry pond campsite here. Loved the sense of privacy because of the trees. Also thoroughly enjoyed that no one had good cell signal...family had to interact lol.Bathrooms are a hike and there is no soap.Swam in cranberry pond, swim area was smaller than it should be and very shallow. Had to go by car from campsite, place is huge.Waded in the sound, beach is like every other sound beach- cold water, rocky & driftwood everywhere.Im pretty sure the only thing that wanted to swim in quarry pond was mosquitoes;)

Very nice campsite. Wish it had more bathrooms. There is only one. Im disabled and cant walk far. I rode in my car to get to the bathroom. Otherwise a nice place.

Great place to day visit. Or if your camping. Nice a cool on a hot day down at the water. You will need a Discovery Pass, or pay $10.00 for the day.

Rangers were unable to keep the homeless guy from making a daily mess in the men’s restroom

Ranger Rick is extremely insensitive and rude, as a Disabled veteran I was treated like Dirt. We came into the park after hours due to a vehicle breakdown and pulled into our spot and at 720 Ranger Rick came and woke our entire camp up due to us not having paid the 2nd vehicle pass due to the park office not opening until 9am. Ranger Rick then threatened to have my Disabled veteran pass taken away because as he said He had an issue now, with us We were charged a 5 dollar late charge even though the I was waiting at the office when they opened at 9am to pay our access fees and Ranger Rick also threatened me with a 150.00 fine for none payment. All in all the way I was treated by this ranger was uncalled for and ridiculous.
