I love this park, I walk a dog here every week, it’s something I really look forward to. It’s beautiful climbing to the top of the hill and looking out over the harbor. There is a playground where people can bring their children to run around and play. There are also a lot of benches to sit on and an area where they have some Adirondack chairs where people can sit and relax.

A very nice & accessible park in South Norwalk that is close to many other things to do. It is part of an extended trail that includes stops such as playgrounds, tennis courts & an old historic cemetery (not too creepy) at nearby Mattthews Park.Theres also a childrens museum & the Maritime Aquarium that can be enjoyed, as well as the new SONO Collection mall.

This place is great for walking paths and there is a playground for kids. Small disc golf course too! Its on the water there is plenty of walk up fishing spots. The veiws are awesome! And the kite flying is always great because of the constant cross winds

Its just such a shame that nobody is assigned a job specifically for this playground! Its a great location, with an awesome view and options to walk around and enjoy nature. But the ground has caved in under that rubber mat that was used upon installing it, so it can be dangerous not only for toddlers running around if they ran over those dips/holes but also for a grownup, who can easily sprain their ankle should they step in them. You find cigarettes and beer bottles or beer cans there, not just on the ground, but even up at the top of the slide. While people can be disresepctful to this place, there should still be a maintenance person checking in on this area and keeping it decent. Especially because it was built in the memory of a little girl.

Would rate higher but they really do a poor job at maintaining the disc golf area. Extremely hard to figure out wheres what and grass not being cut around the tees doesnt help. You guys need to work on that!!

Nice park with broad walking trails. Some loose gravel her and there posed a problem for our little ones on their bikes and section can be steep. But the view from the top of the hill over Norwalk harbor is nice.

Great views. A good spot for parents with young kids, who have energy to burn. Within walking distance of the aquarium. The proximity to the aquarium is a plus and a minus because it has the potential to be a bit crowded.

Be

This course is a great use of the minimal amount of usable land within the park. The layout provides a different type of challenge than is common with courses in CT. With a lot of wind and the proximity of out of bounds areas close to the baskets players must be mindful of the imminent danger. There are 2 holes that require shots over blind hills into areas that might be crowded with other pedestrians. As long as park goers (disc golfers and otherwise) are considerate the two will continue to coexist peacefully.

Went there today for the first time, just movednearby, and wanted to take my sons to play disc golf and just went to check it out. Was very disappointed !! I have seen this park from the highway for some time now and have always been curious. It looks run down and forgotten. The disc golf course has been neglected for some time, that was obvious. No signs to map course, tees half destryoed, baskets falling over. What a joke, I laughed as all i could see is the massive new mall being built, what a shame!!! Norwalk can build malls but cant maintain a simple little park . good job.

Its a nice place for a walk and great to make it part of a run if you are a runner. Can be accessed from Mathews Park, crossing the railroads, or thru N Water st. The location at the top of the hill is generally well kept and nice to sit and look out from, but the path along the water can be use some work. Broken railings make it dangerous for small children specially.

While dancing atop this former salt marsh and what eventually became the place for Norwalks expedables. I am amazed at the transformation into a functioning walking, running, biking, meditation place, lookout point and fitness area this has become. It can feel a bit secluded but I feel comfortable spending time alone atop the hill. For those that need more there is a security call box at the peak. There are disc golf stations across the park. It can be windy so this has to be quite a challenge finishing rounds. The noise from Metro North to the west and I-95 to the North is bearable but not the best place for a quiet picnic.

I like coming to this park because it sort of connects to a few parks and areas. You can walk the little trail, play disc golf, head to the parks right next to it or head over to downtown SoNo. Great place to go to just walk about in a pretty setting by the water.
