We Took some family photos. The scenery was beautiful. We didnt have a dog but were informed by a family member in advanced, No dogs are allowed as theres a $150 fine for doing so if they write you a ticket. You cant carry them to avoid the penalty. Yet there were many dogs in the area.

We went to take a tour at the mansion. We learned a lot of its history. We had an amazing guided tour. This is a gem in Norwalk.

The kids had a blast. It was quiet when we went. There is a toddler area and then another area for 5 to 12. They also have a splash pad. Not sure if that was open this summer or not but we have used it before and it was fun.

This review is for Devons Place playground. The nautical style playground is pretty large with 4 different zones. There is a smaller tot play structure, swings, excavating tool and ride ons. Another play area with a lighthouse, a boat a whale and little houses. The lighthouse is wheelchair accessible. Then there are bigger swings and a bigger kid play structure in the form of a ship. Next to it there is a small labyrinth area. Finally there is a splash pad area with picnic tables next to it. Have been numerous times and it is never too crowded.

Awesome playground! Our family enjoys this playground every couple months. Whether we bring swimsuits or not, this is a family favorite. The splash pad is the best weve found yet, with numerous sculptures spraying water and plenty of space for a group of kids. The playground is also very diverse and offers fun for all ages, as demonstrated by our 2-13 year old kids. Guaranteed fun for all!

So, we missed the tour but was so intrigued with this mansions structure. I was visiting this area with a colleague, saw this building and had to investigate. We explored the outside of mansion AND could only imagine what the inside looked. Had us curious about its origin, family, etc. Didnt take the tour but I bet would be worth it. Looking forward to my next visit so that I can a tour.

Cute little park. Nice playground to take the kids to burn off some energy. Small pond for swimming or just walking around. Connected sports field. The parking is right on the norwalk river valley trail. When I only have an hour or two, I really like coming here with my son and wife. Its just simple and pleasant.

Which is wonderful for the got summer days. The childrens museum is right in there too, which is very fun to visit. Its an easy area to get to and from nice, is clean, and very enjoyable.

A fantastic park for those of all abilities! It has multiple sections- a toddler section, 5-12 yr old section, water section, little houses, swings (with 2 infant swings, 2 typical seat swings, and 2 different types of swings for those who need more support- one with leg support, one without (places for seatbelts, but no belts attached to either) and a big lighthouse to play in. The lighthouse has seen better days and the toddler section has no shade so it was too hot to use with our little one, but the big kid section was actually perfect for him while with us. There is a train that passes loudly, but only came once while we were there. There are many ramps leading to equipment and space for the legs in a wheelchair at each station on the big kid playground. If we are in the area again we will return!

An above average playground thats great for most kids. Some of the parts are in disrepair, which makes sense given that the park shares a parking lot with the Stepping Stones Childrens Museum. If you stop by the museum, let the kids run around at the playground to burn off the rest of their energy.

Playgrounds for kids from 2-5 and 5-12 plus a water pad for kids which makes it great in the summer. 3-4 Tennis courts and a nice walk around the mansion. Could use some attention as to trash pick-up, cleanliness and fixing some games. A shame the beautiful lighthouse was destroyed and not working any more. The closeness to the garbage center bring some unpleasant smell from time to time.

Great fun free playground. Some of the equipment is showing a bit of wear and tear (as of Oct 2016), but you cant beat free! Theres a little water splash pad which is open during the summer and plenty of open space around the park for running around. If you go across the street theres also a nice path by the river.

Nicely well maintained park. There are benches and attractions for kids (playground, museum). There is a tennis court that depending on the time of the day may be busy. during summer, they host festival and town fairs (i.e. art, local shops and products, etc.). Its definitely a nice place to visit for relaxing a couple of hours.
